I’ve been wondering where you found such a great sewing table. What a great find and thank God for your handy husband!
Found an identical table on FB marketplace for $20, bought a portable walking foot sewing machine on FB for $150, followed your build instructions and now I have a wonderful setup. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring. Worked like a charm!
How thoughtful of your husband, sew sweet. ❤️❤️❤️
Your husband did a wonderful job. It looks like the desk was made for your machine.
I have 2 sewing tables. One we got at the thrift store that was an old sewing table with no machine and my boyfriend modified the hole for my machine to fit into it. The other table we bought a ready made tabletop at a big box store and my boyfriend cut a hole. They carry many sizes and I got the biggest available. They also have ready made legs that we predrilled for the screws, these can be adjusted for height too by cutting or adding rollers. drawers are an old filing cabinet that used to fit under another table. Much cheaper than purchasing ready made at a store!
I need to get one of them, a husband with a saw! 😁 The table's great, love the handy drawer, good job.
Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing!
@@KumaSews Me too! 😊
Clever hubby. I had admired your flatbed level with your table. Much easier to sew this way. Great job👍🇦🇺
What a dear man. Not all husbands would do that.
Really nice! Your Juki looks royal sitting there! I have a Juki TL series too…great machine. Thanks for sharing the link!
I'm sending this video on to my husband to see how to do this for me!
I reused those little containers that Deli meat comes in… they fit perfectly into a drawer. One holds small scissors, one for needle packages , etc. handy dandy
So nice your husband supports your artistry.
Yes. I’m thankful
Could I borrow ur husband & he could build one for me. Right ladies?!?! It's a great sewing desk!
This is a very nice working place for your wonderful ideas and sewing projects you share with us. Thank you!!!
What a great idea! Handy husbands are great also!😃
Thank you for sharing! Great idea and your husband has done a lovely job.
Love it ! He did a great job. And what a great idea
Every video I see from you I always admire that table! Thanks for sharing this
Such a clever idea Your husband has done a good job there Thank you for sharing this with us
I love thrift store finds. My husband found two metal cabinets with doors to use as a base for a sewing table - he then took a full size 4’ X 8’ sheet of maple plywood and trimmed it out and put on the top of those bases. It is my sewing table and cutting table! I love that my husband is always working to make my one of my passions so much easier. Yes Jesus is my first passion!!!
That table is the greatest! I've done that to a table before and it works! Great idea! Your table is unique!
Great to a hubby that works to make your quilting life better. I’m has modified our computer desk to a cutting table for me with drawers that are awesome. My sewing machine has been fitted into a sewing machine desk. Right now I’m thinking about a new machine with a bigger throat size, right now I’m has a 6” which is hard to put a quilt through. Thanks for sharing your upgrade. 👍❤️😊
Great table! I my husband did something similar to a table. My whole sewing room is decked out with repurposed items! 😊
👏👏👏 stretch that dollar🤑
❤️😀
My compliments to you and your husband on your sewing table..so nice of you to share this clever idea..love every one of your videos and music is so calming..
Thanks for sharing this. Need to do this with my machine.
Thanks for the tour, Beth. Your husband is handy like mine.
Exactly the tutorial I needed. I think I will add one of those slippery mats with the feed dogs cut out so the cut edge is even less noticeable when I am sewing. Thank you so much!
What a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
It’s like you can read minds. I have an old Singer SlantOMatic without the cabinet. I was thinking I need to make a hole in my work table. Thank you for showing how to do that.♥️
Love this@!,
Thank you Beth! I was having trouble trying to explain it to my husband. Now he can get it done!
very impressed! love this idea so much!
I have a Juki just like yours and did something similar with an Ikea table. I was concerned because the machine is so heavy but it's holding up pretty well. Your husband did a nice job!
Thank you. I was on the right track. Big-4 (Ace Hardware) will cut the wood for me and sell me the hardware.
Husband is very handy to have around!!!! 😀😀‼️🧵
definitely!
Thanks Beth. That’s fantastic. Your husband did a great job, and it’s oh so practical. You’ve given me ideas. Xx
Thanks so much for sharing this. I want my husband to do the same thing. And make it 29" also. I have an old office chair that goes up and down. All the way up is the most comfortable sewing position but my toes barely touch the floor. I am showing my husband your video today! Thanks again for this video and most of all for your great channel.
Thank you for sharing
Awesome. I’m getting ready to do something like that.
Great idea! Thank you for sharing!
Love it! Now I’m looking for a used desk😁
Great table!🙂
He did a nice job! The juki is very heavy!
Woah... i want one... thank you for sharing...
Very nice!
Good idea! I will ask my husband do for me. 😉
Nice!
Thanks for showing us this wonderful table. Can I borrow your husband to make me one???😁
🙂
Love it😇
Very good
Very nice❣️
Thanks for sharing! I have a table I want to do the same for my two heavy machines and switch them out as I need them. Every time I watch one of your videos, I always wonder “How did she adapt that table for her sewing machines?” Now I know. And looks very easy to do. 😊❤️
Hi Beth:
How wide and deep does your desk/table measure?!
Those ladies looking for a handyman😳
Perhaps look to church members, neighbors, ask your friends and coworkers for a referral !!!
I am blessed to have grown up with a father🕊️✝️ who was handy/DIY and taught us how to do it all!
Then to have my husband who also fills those shoes!!! We are in the process of setting up a space for me. It’s been a long time coming and being frugal is important as well🤑.
Thanks for listening 🤔😝
❤️😀
50” x 25”👌
Thank you so much❤️😀
Beth how do you have or find so many, many different scraps? I don't often see you cut yardage. I love scrappy quilts more than the matchy matchy. Love your daughters quilt.
I have been collecting and sewing and saving tor a long time. I rarely buy yardage because I have so much.😉
❤❤❤
💗💗💗
very nice, I wonder how I could include my knee lifter in this design?
It depends on the desk/table.👌
This is a fabulous idea, job well done, thank you 😀 PS would you please loose the distracting music playing while you are talking, it makes it very difficult to listen to you
Sorry about music.. I can’t fix it once it’s on UA-cam. I’ll try to do better next time😉
👍👍👍👍🤗🤗❤
How do you change bobbin if it’s a front loader? And what if cables attach too low at side? Any ideas?
The desk was cut away a bit more on both ends to allow room for access.
Good afternoon, I have a Juki 2010q and a similar table. I have a few questions for you. Do you have to lit the machine each time you change the bobbin? would I make the hole big enough to use with the extending table or will I not need it? Do you use the knee attachment? If so, how do you attach it? Thank you
I do not lift the machine to change the bobbin. I am able to access the bobbin ok. It's not great..but it works. I don't know about the extension table and I do NOT use the knee attachment so I'm not sure it would work with this kind of arrangement. Hope that helps. Happy sewing!
I’m thinking that since her machine is set flush(sunken) with the desk/table that she wouldn’t need the extension table. I think that the extension table just gives a bigger space of flat area🤔
Does that make sense?!?!! ❤️😀
How do you change your bobbin? Do you have to lift your machine out each time?
I am able to access the bobbin without moving the machine.👌
That is my question too. Do you reach under the table to access t he bobbin?
Can you use the knee lift?
I don't use the knee lift attachment...so I am not sure if it would work with this table or not. 👍
A needle caddy
Good video but music so loud hard to hear but thank you
You’re right. Wish I could adjust...but it’s too late once uploaded. Live and learn I guess. 😉
