Thank you for showing us the basic steps like how to disconnect the connector. As a beginner DYI I've had problems separating connectors in the past.
Also, thank you for the reminder that turbo engines need their spark plugs replaced more frequently.

Great video and step-by-step guide. Do you have to change the coils when replacing the spark plugs? I don't have a code, I just have a louder than normal idle noise that seems to signal tune up I just did an oil change I'm thinking plugs are next

Yeah I just started to notice a slightly louder idle noise and was thinking it might be the spark plugs needing to get change. I just hit 85,000 and I believe everything is still stock. Should I also change the coils or just the plugs?

Hey BC hope all is well... On 96 trans am (M6).. is having issues starting sometimes... It has a brand new starter ..brand new battery ..the opti-spark has 50,000 miles.. now I can hear the solenoid engaging but sometimes it just won't turn over... So I have to resort to jump starting it from time to time .. if you have any possible ideas I would greatly appreciate them 👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲

I had a friend who bought a starter on ebay and it would do the exact same thing..then ended up replacing the starter for a new one a good brand starter and it fixed the issue. Also was it a new or remanufactured starter? Does it always works when u jump start it?

@@travisquintero8334 maybe the battery has a bad cell, so its not supplying enough cranking amps..maybe u can remove the battery and have it tested at an auto parts store if u dont have a battery tester. ..or try cleaning the connections to the battery, maybe its not getting great contact

No, u don't have to..its just more of a safety thing..just to prevent any possible scenario where a tool falls near the alternator, starter or any battery connection and have the tool connect it to a ground..or in case someone possibly tries to crank it while ur working on it..just to avoid those types of things...but if u do choose to disconnect it..u just gotta remove the negative terminal
