Noctis was gone for 10 years because he was busy wandering the Pitioss Ruins Dungeon
I feel your pain, 3hrs and I am nearing the end... Pure eyestrain right now
@@jontythewlis86 3 hours??! Bruh I been working on it for 2 Days
@@davidtheswede7887 bruh just two days it took me like 5 even with this walkthrough cause the controls are so shit
@@thefilthygamer3427 Finished it in a few hours, but my god, this was the worlds most terrible dungeon. I hated it, but somehow i also loved it. If only they would have added a save function and added a more indepth story line into this dungeon
💀
Imagine after all the pain and suffering, you've reached the top, saw the light and the reward is within your graps at the edge, you accidentally sprint out of excitment and fell back to starting line
Recker Ray it's not a problem if you hit the shortcut that connect directly to the entrance of the dungeon
Recker Ray believe it or not, that shit fucking happened to me today, and I gave up. I hate this dungeon with a passion
well, in the end you just have to come back down and only do the very last part, which is actually really easy
Vengeful Fresh happened to me too. Turns out if you are standing facing the dungeon entrance you turn around and go though the first short cut you opened, up the slope and there is a little platform that leads to and ledge. Jump there (easy) and you will go though the last short cut you opened.
i just did what the comment says
I was about to cry
This dungeon made me go through the 5 stages of grief:
Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance
Same here... There were so many times I wanted to give up or throw my control...
I screamed so loud and so much at the TV my husband thought he was in trouble. 😂
@@moriahrandle-scott882Oh goodness 😂
"Cake baby"
Andy Ngo OH MY GOD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😁😁😂😁
yeah sure!!
Give the boy his cake, he earned it.
people complaining about the dungeon.. I am not even able to land the regalia without exploding lol
Migmar Baru thats part of the platforming check, Sir
LMAO
Migmar Baru took me half an hour to get used to it but I couldn't see jack shit with it being super dark lmao
took me aslong to land the stupid flying piece of garbage as the entire dungeon, that says alot.. the ap system and car and 8 secret dungeons not this one made me cut my stars from 5/10 to 2/10 also only having 1 skill in the entire game doesn't help.. Blink strike and nothing.. beat all game on normal.. nothing was a challenge but that stupid car.. but alot of buggy and boring stuff that takes years, like no item dungeon, the story where u can only use ring of bs most of the time etc :D.. And the spell system what a complete joke.. as the summons, I always get ramuh like 99%.. some of them in 120+ hours I haven't even seen once..(unless story). Also some monster run out of fight zone and ur just kinda screwed.. can also take forever before ur allowed to battle doods just stand there glitching like fuck.. And why for the love of god make the game so u have to kill all the weakest enemies to get stronger.. or even make it so even the noobest of noobs get absurd strong early weapon or lvl 99 before the game even begins... not like u need all the ap anyways since 90% of all skills do absolutely nothing anyways :)
lol yea i realised after sometime that all you need is to keep that f-plane low and land on the stripe.
Once it touches the floor it wouldn't explore even if you crash it.
Did anybody else find that, although this dungeon is extremely creative and intricately designed, you just stop having fun playing it past a certain point?
that and my head started to hurt towards the end with the confusing platforming
Ninth Eclipse I agree while it looks great and was a nice change of pace at first, it quickly outstayed it's welcome.
The fact you can't save and come back later was a stupid decision, the game pretty much held me hostage until i was done.
Wise Wolf it a reason you have to finish the game to play this. It's like it was added to piss people off.
yes this dungeon sucks
Mathew HKPS4
u serious? i spent the whole night because i didnt want to start from the beginning..
I felt 5 types of emotions completing this dungeon.
All of them negative except when you finally got the sh** you wanted I assume xD I was like "yeah I'm gonna do this" and watched another walkthrough... Should have watched the whole thing because it just got worse and worse and then I finally completed it and was like "Yes!!!"... "Never gonna do this EVER again!"
I fealt 9 million 273 thousand 441 different emotions in this painful ass dungeon
Me: Yes I made the jump
Noctis: Tuck and roll *falls off*
Me: *Throws controller*
suraj patel you think that sucks? Check that out:
Me: finish the dungeon hooray!
Noctis: take Regalia and crash somewhere.
Me:Fuck I forgot to save that last part!
Same.
Plus sometimes he'll just take an extra step and kill himself
Or the fucker slides or twitches.
Try this just beat the dungeon about to save, game crashed
@@drudag1515
OOF. That had to suck.
Extra tip- when you finish the dungeon, fast travel to the place you last rested to avoid the chance of you crashing the regalia somewhere and having a game over.
Then have Cidney tow the car to you.
This dungeon was incredibly frustrating and absolutely brilliant. I never want to do it again, but I am so glad I went through it once. It was so satisfying to beat!
This is what happens when level designers get bored while waiting for the rest of the game to be put together for 5+ years.
I was actually thinking that was the only explanation for how, with how rushed several parts of the game was, something this huge and elaborate could come about. But let's be honest, the level designers probably only spent a year and a half building this God of War killer; Tetsuya Nomura only has one person work on his games at a time. When one finishes one part, the next guy gets started.
You mean designer, not designers. The whole dungeon was designed by one guy who was described as having a very unique way of thinking.
It took me 6 fucking hours to complete this area.
I hate you Enix.
_Demonix_ 😂😂😂😂.
I read this before I did the dungeon. I thought you were exaggerating. It took me 6.5 hours. I was about to break my tv.
it's the worst, it took me 5 hours even with a guide. It's almost forgivable because it's optional, but could you imagine if this was a main story dungeon I think I would have broke my controller.
I had two go to sleep before i could finish it or i would lose my mind.
_Demonix_ 7 for me
I actually adored it! I think people would hate it less if it allowed you to save your game at certain checkpoints. I had no idea I would be committing to a four hour dungeon when I started.
man I started this earlier thinking it wouldn't take long and I've been doing it for an hour. I have homework due in a few hours man. This is evil
This may be the hardest thing in Final Fantasy history since the chocobo races of FFX
This is much harder. The chocobo races are kind of easy-ish. To me at least. For me, my least favourite bit is the bit right after the giant skull spike thing, where everything is tilted 45 degrees. Also, how the heck do you open the shortcut right there?
The labyrinth wasn't hard, it's the controls that is hard for this
"oh you want to sneak? let me make a roll lol"
"oh, you want to turn around without moving? Fuck it, im gonna take an extra step just to make sure i fall off"
LMAO you are so right. "oh you want to make that jump? let me swing your sword while you are airborne, I'm helping right?"
at this point they really have the intention to make it that way. i won't be suprised if the next update they will raise the sensitivity of the movement control for that dungeon
dexter tolentino That's why you use L3 to sprint lol, I never even knew Circle allowed you to sprint. Thankfully.
Jacob Teague this ^
7..hours..7..fuck this place..and alll that it stands for
I had watch a live stream of this dungeon it took 3 hours for the guy to clear it lol i Had to get a youtube guide cuz there was no way i was doing this blind. took me like 1hour ish with this guide.
Jesus Feciano I watched a guy do it 29 minutes . I just watched what he did . still took me almost 2 hours
Resident Evils 1-3: We have awesome puzzles that only the smartest players can complete.
Final Fantasy 15: Hold my beer.
Resident evil 1-3 were awesome. Oh sweet nostalgia...
They got 4 years to put Tenebrae in the game and they give you... THIS.
I agree a lot of people will never find this place. A lot more will find it and give up. A lot more will finish it and be disappointed in the gear after. I defiantly see how designing something this sadistic could take 4 or 5 months but why not put that's effort and creativity into the main game?
I really think that there are 50+ GBs of contents that ended up not being included in the final game.
I think they were like shyt no time to finish tanabrae. Then some random fcker appear say hey i got a dungeon why not use this instead. POOF!! we have this hell
Thank you so much for this video. Just got my black hood and I would never have done it without a guide.
I wonder how many people will enjoy this kind of dungeon, for me it was close to torture and no fun after 1 hour in.
This is on that Nathan Drake/Laura Croft level! Damn Square Enix when you start learning to build platformers?
PucciusLOLcannalunga I don't ever want to see that jump button again in my life
Devin Ellis at the beginning i was thinking:"oh nice jump n run dungeon"then it was getting longer and longer and then Shiva Statue came and why square enix jumping on them titties
Foul den take soup ff15
+PucciusLOLcannalunga Yeah, but they were stupid enough to make the jump button the same as the interact/activate button...
Laura Croft
Glad that we can't die in the dungeon. If it was a fall and game over...
After finally finishing it in 5 hours, all I can say is... CAKE, BABY
All that work and frustration with this dungeon only to find out that the Black Hood was in reach from the outside had Gladio just given me a damn piggy back ride. The only reason why this was so challenging was because of the terrible controls and the camera.
Looks like Satan created this.
man this dungeon almost drove me insane, thanks for the video
Tips:
*Keep your sanity!* Take breaks where difficulty to navigate platforms prove too difficult.
*Break the faces* Red barriers become shortcuts when the faces behind them are broken. So smash away!
*Pitio in slow-mo* This labyrinth isn't a race against time, especially if for those that have not completed it. Take your time and experience hell. The dungeon can be completed without ever having to sprint once.
*Black Hood is worth it* There isn't an excuse to not have the best gear*
Black hood is one of the worst accessories in the game, you should only get it if you’re bad at the game and can’t seem to dodge opponents for your life.
I disagree the black hood is not worth all the hell it is to go through that just to find it and I think the dungeon has glitches in it as well it doesn't help
@@lennymosca9099 Haha, you’re probably right now, but it was a great piece of gear when that comment was as written. There has probably been a lot of updates and changes
TOOK ME FUCKING 12 HOURS WTF THIS WAS SO HARD LMAO FINALLY FINISHED THOUGH
bless you... I cannot thank you enough...
even after following this guide, pausing for like every 15 seconds, it still took me about 8 long hours to beat it... (had to put the PS4 in rest mode for 20 hours in between to resume from mid way as I had to go for work)...
probably the most agonizing gaming experience of my life!!!
Was well designed but not being able to save and come back later is just downright lunacy.
Wise Wolf Well, it fits the essence of being in a dungeon... A arduous task that requires you to see it through or give up. No checkpoints ...
Yes and that would worked years ago but in this day and age it doesn't.
Wise Wolf Saying that is essentially saying "arduous tasks in games should be easy and not challenging at all.."
Allowing you to take a break and come back later wouldn't ruin the challenge.
In the end by it holding me hostage it soured my opinion on it, it's well designed but i have no intention of ever doing it again.
Wise Wolf So when you are given a puzzle, do you see it through until it's completed or do you toss it to the side and say "I'll do it later"?
After 4 1/2 hours (without a guide), I finally beat it. I have to say, it was painful at times, but certainly one of the most interesting and well crafted levels in my video game history. A true labyrinth.
Three things that take the most time in FFXV:
1. Pitioss Ruins.
2. A Menace Sleeps in Steyliff
3. Adamantoise.
I can't thank you enough for this video. It got me out of the no return point and allowed me to work out my own route to the end. Thanks so much !
This was a NIGHTMARE, OMG I can't believe I finished it. TYSM for the walkthrough. Protip- if you fall back to the start point, exit and save it!! And remember to do it at night or rest at camp until nightfall and go back
"Cake, baby."
Crap. That's going to be a meme now, isn't it?
Impus Tredecim I thought so XD
Impus Tredecim I haven't seen it one yet. But let's not speak to soon. Someone will probably uncover it mid 2020 and we'll get flooded with pictures of Seth Rogan picking up chicks with CAKE BABY across the top.... Hmmmm give me a couple minutes and we won't have to wait that long :p

fuck this place. thought i was playing Final Fantasy, not Uncharted.
Malcolm Fitzpatrick I hate that game and I own them all
one of the worst things i have ever experienced in gaming, and i have been playing games for 15 years
Cody Jordan same here sir
I am having Mental breakdown
This dungeon is god awful due to the jumping mechanics and how clunky they are.
Asuna Tokisaki Thats what makes it challenging
noct be making me mad just teleport
Thank you so much for this great guide, that was the only thing that kept me (somewhat) sane..
Great guide! This dungeon would have seemed impossible without it. Thank you and great job
Awesome walkthrough and detailed. Thanks!
Even after 2 years, I can still visualize the terror of pitioss just by listening to the soundtrack, That one will hunt me forever in my very dreams.
Omfg. I saw the length of the video was 45min, so I was like oh that's not that bad.. that was yesterday.. took several hours to tackle it piece by piece, didn't realize I was going to be pausing the video every minute or two for hours at a time failing the same jumps over and over and over. Finally.. done.
Oh man, that music starting at the last 10 minutes.. Goosebumps all over again.
I loved this dungeon so much. I think it took me like 4 to 5 hours to beat it the first time, my wife asked me to do it for her for her game and I did it in half that, but it was still fun.
thank you so much! this guide was a lifesaver!
Thank you for making this. I FINALLY made it through mostly because of this video so thanks so much. :)
Got it after 4 hours, this was a huge help!
Thank you so much. Best guide around. Good job.
Wow, thanks a lot for this. I dont have much time per day to play and this saves me a lot!
I don't know how i would have done this dungeon with a walk-through. Thank you for this.
Do anyone know the adress to those who designed this place by any chance?
This was sooooo helpful thank you
My noct keeps autorunning to his death
@37:37 that jump fucking sucked for me, took me like a hour on that jump alone
@mrcliff34 This. So much this.
mrcliff34 I'm there right now,I'm taking a breather but this jump I got once then fell inside the metal box area and am so close to quiting
Hardest fucking part of the entire game.
Word of advice. If you press "attack" while you have a weapon in your hands, you can be moved forward. In order from flinging you furthest to shortest, they are daggers, swords, greatswords. This can be used for extra insurance on some jumps or to cheese stuff. Example: the rotating wheels can be jumped onto using the daggers. Hope this helps
*THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO, YOU'RE MY HERO!* ❤
this helped me a whole lot! tyvm! 😎
Lowkey this was very helpful.
thank you for making this
Took me like 4 hours so worth it ur a beast for 44 mins
The entire time I’m yelling at my tv “double jump, goddamnit!”
Thank you so much!!!
thank you so very much for this took me 3 nights to complete
thx!! helped me when I was stuck!
It took me like nine hours to finish this nightmare. xD
I like the idea behind this. The people who designed this are very creative.
But on the other hand they seem to be very sadistic as well.
Every new area was like a hour filled with trial and error. At first I was like "hey, thats actually nice", but after this yellow spinning ball I was like "fuck this". But in the end I can proudly say that I managed to get through the whole thing without warp strikes, saving or any tutorials.
THANK YOU! IT TOOK SIX HOURS BUT I GOT IT, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you so much for this ;-; I cant even count the amount of times that I failed the parkour/jumping sections
Omg thank you bro ! Lol saved me from all the stress
37:38 fuck that jump right there.... it took me like 15 tries to make that jump...
Jesus Feciano OML same. I still haven't beaten it to this day. Fuck this dungeon
yo some advice, to make your jump shorter. Let off of the left stick sooner and don't press it again, no matter what. You can't change direction in air in this game like you can in any other game with stuff like this. Also if you press it after you let go before you land it automatically makes you do the walk animatoin. That feature not being included alone is what made this so hard for me.
Jesus Feciano 3 tries it took me but before i found out i actually had to jump there instead of another place to the right where i tried going 3-4 times aswell..
Gerard Rosario it took another guide to see what is going on. It's weird. Don't know if it is on purpose or a bug. But if it is on purpose, the guy who thought it was a good idea needs to be shot! You are not supposed to aim at the horizontal bar, but the vertical one! It's weird I know but after several failures, I jumped at the vertical bar and nailed it the first time!
I legit had to stop playing the dungeon and take a break because of this jump. It's cruel.
Thanks for the video help me a lot for beating omega weapon.
Just did it last night. I thought that an hour or two would be enough because your clip was barely an hour. DAMN HOW WRONG WAS I! IT took me all night to finish the damn dungeon! Haha
If they were planning to create the hardest dungeon in the world in mind, they have succeeded.
Idk, harder than Costlemark Tower's Menace Dungeon? This dungeon is exceptionally tricky and finicky, but Costlemark's Menace Dungeon is legit HARD.
@@NickC_222 Costlemark is a piece of cake provided you stocked up on healcasts
thank you so muuuch for this
i spit blood completing this sh1t... one place u never wanna come back to and it's dark and scary
I had to do it twice :(
When I was leaving the area I crashed into the wall. I did it with no guide either...I spent 3hrs in there I think.
You are not alone, I had it to do it twice because I ejected the disc on accident when I went to get the charger for my controller. I got some weird bug where the drive kept ejecting disc over and over and I had to restart the Ps4 >.>
FreakingAngryPirate fucking SAME, I had a mental brakedown
micman963 it's the rubber at the bottom of your console touching the super sensitive eject button. I removed the rubber and it never happen again
awesome guide thanks for the help I probably would a been stuck in there for another 2 days lol
This is just....AMAZING
I got half way through the dungeon after spending two hours, then I realized you can cut across it after you jump at an early point in the dungeon and switch between your shield and sword to go further to the other side. From there it takes about 5 minutes or less to complete. Both the long way and the “short-cut” take skill, but the short-cut saves you hours of your time.
Black Hood = best item in the game! (In my opinion)
Fuck that! how did you figure this out. trial and error?
Rafael Inda yep. This dungeon is nothing but trial, error, and unending rage.
took me 7h to clear this dungeon !! thx man !! ;)
Obrigado pelo vídeo, e mesmo com suas dicas eu quase desisti, isso foi uma das coisas mais cruéis que eu já joguei.
omg thank you, I've been meaning to find the black hood
Little background: I got the platinum for this game forever ago but only recently found out there was a dungeon only accessible via the Regalia Type-F. I'm about halfway through this here patience trying torment but only because this video exists. There might be others like it that are probably more streamlined but this is what I watched, this is what helped, this is what I'm thanking. So yeah, thanks for your indirect help.
Update: after roughly three or so hours of the game's time, I finally beat it. Again, this video was extremely handy.
You cut out the part where you make the spinning room spin in the first place... Had to check another vid for that. It's ok if you show a failed jump here or there, what matters to us is the information not your leet skillz.
This was cake baby!
Cake my ass!! I need five hours to just get blackhood!
I started watching this video because I wanted to see someone struggle with it like I did, but he makes every jump! God, Damn, it!!
I really loved this dungeon and the level design, but god damn that rotating room puzzle.
this dungeon ripped my soul out of my mortal body and tore it into shreds while square enix devs just laugh and laugh
Wow, someone actually did it! FFXV has some really well designed dungeons!
you know you've made a good platformer dungeon when millions of people absolutely hate you for it.
TheTknProductions yeah...it's well designed that after completing it, I don't wanna play FFXV anymore
I like platformers, but this part of the game was absolute hell. Noctis' jump was not designed for tight platforming challenges. I have no idea what the hell they were thinking with this dungeon.
This is not a well designed dungeon in any aspect.
This was the highlight of the game for me. The touching story was great, but second to the achievement I felt when I got that black hood after hours of patient persistence.
That moment when final fantasy don't know if it want to be a jrpg, action game, survival-horror, or tomb raider
very cool 😆 off to try it
Great video. I think it missed the Genji Glove though.
amazing!!!
I would like to add before you head in if you eat the smoke dual horns skank you don't have to worry about noctis running out of stamina right before a jump
When I get to the 9:55 mark in the video the thing doesn't rotate like it does, I followed ur video to the letter! All I can think of is I fell trying to do the double pillar jumps right before 9:55, did I mess up if so how to get back on track?
35:54 You missed the genjii gloves, which were down on the statues belly, it's well hidden so you have to walk over it. Just incase people didn't know.
Okay but what do the genji gloves do?
Well now I gotta go look if there is a shortcut to get back to her, I don't remember
Finally did it. It took forever. :P
thank you so much for this guide.. ugh I spent so many hours on certain parts only to watch and figure out the path was right in front of me. x.x the dungeon was awesome except when noctis didn't want to jump right or went a different way... he's just a bit too touchy sometimes.
Thanks. Couldn't get that last door to open until I watched this.
Man, every time I think I've wrapped everything up, I find yet another mission to do, or thing to find, or something else I want to complete. This game is the definition of "heavily backloaded" and I absolutely love it. This was my first FF game, picked up on PSPlus in 2020 for free, and now I'm dying to play every other FF game, open world or linear. I already bought FF7R but I just can't move on from FFXV yet.
Thank you so much, such a big help but could someone comment a video where they tell you how to break the statues at 9:27
