The extended version includes the sith ghosts as well as a temporary attack on our beloved Rey. I felt like this was missing from the ending of The Rise of Skywalker, so I decided to add in the ghosts of Jedi I love in the background.

He was told he was fighting last minute so he just yeeted himself in a corkscrew across the room?
Nick Dziura of course he couldn’t do that. That was likely a harness or FX. You can see that his form isn’t as complex as the Anakin vs Obi-Wan.

@James Reitsch A bit unnecessary. Where I was not a major fan of these films I was entertained by watching them and if Jennifer liked and enjoyed them then that is her prerogative.
I love how they included Vader’s silhouette at the end, showing he truly and completely turned back to the Light before he died.

To be fair, in the EU, there are dual wielders of light and dark and not necessarily good or evil, just moderate centrists 😂

I actually loved this, Vader’s subtle shadow on Rey as she deflects the lightning. Gorgeous. Just amazing ❤️

@@aacm1259 Plus, let's not forget that Luke wasn't that good of a Jedi to begin with. He had enough knowledge to defeat bounty hunters, but he had to appeal to feelings every time, when it came to real lightsaber duel. Luke is a strong Sith, but he definitely lacks skills to do things in a deadpan-Jedi-way. Light side is hard, man, and requires a lot of training.

I guess, Disney could've used force ghosts to make it work. Those mad skills of hers might've been just a result of a possession and that alone would've been already a good explanation. Not to mention that it gives Rey a decent personal motivation to search for Jedi Knights and Sith Lords. I mean, fate of a messiah is tough and cutting that connection just to take back control over body and destiny is nothing but a reasonable desire, and searching for other force-sensitives that can potentially help her do it is an intriguing beginning of a character arc. But, Disney didn't feel like experimenting and just went with a simple Mary Sue scenario. Alas.
Screw it, at this point I care only for Mandalorian. The rest of Disney stuff is non-existent for me.

No it could have been interesting if they had ever thought to develop a story. I imagine her parents lives were weird and tragic but we will never know.
Disney during these movies was trying to develop some annoying cross platform storytelling. Like a blurb in the movies then follow up in comic books or books or video games. Sucks

I remember seeing the force ghosts in this scene when I first saw it in theatre. I was so confused when it wasn't there anymore. Apparently it's a deleted scene
Every once in a while I see this video again and I just love everything about it. Seeing all the sith surround Palpatine, seeing all the Jedi surround Rey. Seeing Vader's helmet around Rey was so beautiful, too. This would have been amazing in theaters.

When Anakins/Darth Vaders shape appears around Rey it is almost like Anakin is saying to Palpatine: "You destroyed my life and now I will destroy you" and then he powers up Rey with all his might and Palpatine gets shredded into dust. Spectacular done my friend! Your edit is KING.

3:41 The integration of Vader/Anakin's mask gave so much depth to that scene. It almost provides us with a sense of comfort knowing that Anakin still played a part in fulfilling his destiny while Rey can still maintain the spotlight. Im just flabbergasted by how Disney ended the saga on such a dull note given all they had to work with. All in all, you did an amazing job here.

Anakin's ghost was meant to appear but supposedly got cut in the reshoots because KK and Iger were trying to appease the Chinese government censors. They don't allow ghosts killing people in movies they show over there it was said

And first of all, you're not gonna satisfy everyone in the world. Second of all, this movie probably wasn't even shot in China so third of all they shouldn't have a say in the matter
@@clintparker pretty much. Hollywood, Disney especially, have been chasing the Chinese dollar like it's the gold rush for a while now. I think it was Doomcock that mentioned the actors being on set and in costume originally and it was theorized it had to do with why both Hayden and Ian McDiarmid were pulled from the convention before 9 getting released so as to not risk spoilers. JJ has tried to backpedal and say they thought it best only Luke and Leia were shown as force ghosts but we know now most of what we saw in 9 was made at the last minute and probably filmed in the 2 weeks before release.
Ironically Star Wars was never a success in China. Go figure, a series about a totalitarian regime being overthrown isn't popular with a totalitarian regime. This is why I'm fine with Disney hurting and don't have much faith in the movie future

My favorite was Anakin and Ashoka defending her, giving Anakin a chance to seemingly redeem himself for his past mistakes by protecting her. Anakin and Obiwan clashing as she brought the sabers together symbolizing when everything went wrong and the Vader helmet, which I took as a symbol of the monster Palpatine created coming back to haunt him in his final moments.
Ye at 3:33 it’s the duel on Mustafar, Anakin is on the left and Obi Wan is the right.

The editing on Sidious doing his spinning trick is really good. I like this a lot, although it's kinda hard to see the Sith behind Palpatine, but that makes sense since they can't technically manifest as Force Spirits. Also some other commenters pointed out that the English (United States) subtitles are hilarious, give em' a try.

@@thelonelyduck2823 look, there I’ve seen a ton of people like this. BTW I’ve watched every episode of Star Wars five times, and I absolutely never said Anikan’s sacrifice was worthless. The reason why Palpatine was still alive was because he had clone bodies of himself on Exegol, and transferred his life force or something at just the right time into the clone body. But the reason why he had to be on that machine thingy is because the clone body wasn’t finished when Anikan sacrificed himself to save Luke Skywalker.
Also, keep in mind that Rey DID die from killing emperor Palpatine, but she’s only here because Ben solo saved her.

I truly love what you have made. It is a beauty. No hating towards the sequels, but it is a bit better. I think I'm gonna consider this my favorite star wars edit of all time. I will come back to this all the time.

I'd probably get rid of the "I'm all the Jedi" line, it's so on the nose. I'd also probably add a clip of Anakin saying something like "you should be dead" and Luke saying "you've failed once again, your highness".

@@Sarnatuile maybe not exactly those lines, but I think it should be more heavily emphasized that it's not just Rey fighting palpatine, but all of the jedi spirits working alongside her

Perhaps, but he doesn't have a history of controlling that well. He could have stopped it when Vader tossed him down the shaft too, but he kept spilling lightning the whole way down. I'm thinking when a Sith is really angry, the lightning can be managed; but as fear takes hold, the flow becomes too strong to be controlled.

Gosh I wish the music at 3:04 popped up more often in the movie, even if the movie was horrible, this song fits the emperor so well, every time I see the emperor, this song always pops up, but this time it wasn't in the movie as much, I was really hoping for it to show up more often, either way, I loved your vid bro, better than in the movie tbh.
I still reckon it shoulda just been a full on jedi/sith ghost fight happening in the background as palps and rey faught, but that part where she clashed the sabers and you gave the slight flickering of obiwan and anikan clashing sabers gave me chills. Well done :)

@@TGymer Three things wrong with this idea, Force Ghost have always been intangible, I do not know which bright ass had the idea to make them be able to interact physically with the living in this new trilogy, secondly, Sith do not become force ghosts because they do not become one with the force when they die, thirdly, Sith hate each other and would never help, they'd as likely begin fighting each other rather than help Palpatine.

Honestly I kinda like them a lot, especially knowing about the rule of 2 and the history of the sith, it's kinda epic to me, although not much else in the movie was
They were super cringe, not only the way it was said but just in general. It’s written by a team of writers with billions of dollars to back them and this is the best they could come up with? Imagine how much more intense it would be if Palpatine said something like “I am the culmination of thousands of years of sith knowledge and power.” Rey reply’s with something like “And I have the strength of the Jedi, those that you could never truly defeat.” Any number of true Star Wars fans could easily write better lines. Lines laced with pent up resentment of all the evil Palpatine had done.

As much as I like his line, yea, Rey's is shit. She has met exactly one long-long retired Jedi master lol. I think she should've emphasized the force

Nihilus and Vitiate are the two most powerful Sith to have ever lived in my personal opinion. But, Sidious is definitely in the top 5 of the strongest Sith. And to think that he got his arse kicked by a half baked Jedi with little training, is not only an insult to good old Palps, but to all the fans as well.
It's just a dream, that last trilogy never existed.

But the thing is. We got to see Anakin from a young slave boy to his fall. Anakin was surrounded by Jedi Masters, Artifacts, and books to learn. The real question is. How did Rey?
It took years for Luke Skywalker to master these skills. (Who is the one of the most powerful Jedi to exist) And Rey masters them in what? Two movies that probably only take up to two years? Plus Anakin Skywalker is the chosen one, so ofc the force favours him.
Like come on, Luke wasn’t even this powerful in his movies.
