2006 4Runner 4th Generation Brake Fluid Flush

- In this episode I flushed a very dark colored brake fluid from my 2006 4Runner.
These cars have a specific way of flushing the fluid from the rear brake bleeders. You need to turn the ignition to the ON position (DO NOT TURN THE CAR ON). THIS STEP IS ONLY FOR THE REAR BRAKES
"Always start from rear passenger side as is the furthest from master cylinder.
The front calipers are bleed the traditional way by pumping the brake while the key is in the off position.
Tools needed:

I almost went and did my brakes with only 1 bottle thinking that would be enough. Looks like I need to buy 2-3 more bottles.

What does the ABS beeping mean?
its a warning noise that it has lost pressure/system failure.

How do you know when youve drained enough fluid from each brake?
when the fluid coming out is as clear as the new fluid.
@@diydadhubyea and correct me if I’m wrong, but this is how it should be for most flushes of any liquid you are servicing. Flush until the new liquid pours out, and you have successfully flushed at that point
@@Ron.Swanson. Yes, my system was obviously very dirty due to wear and tear, but in most cases, it should be less than what I used. Each vehicle will be different due to their condition. I hope this helps.

OK, I have 4.0 v6. I wonder if the procedure for the rear calipers is the same?

@@diydadhub hola, aplique el procedimiento para los caliper traseros,
1- use mismo procedimiento que uso UD.
2-puse llave en posición 2 de encendido sin arrancar
3-pedel de freno bajo a fondo como se esperaba.
4- sistema que tenía que purgar de manera automática no realizó ni guna acción no se escuchó sonido caracteristico de purgado, solté pedal y repetí el proceso pedal se fue a fondo una vez más, pero sistema de purgado no funcionó como se esperaba,
4- fui a ver botella está si co tenía más líquido de freno pero fue por la acción mecánica de pisar el pedal no de sistema electrónico en ningún momento este se activo para realizar el proceso.
Estoy atascado en este momento.

PD. Sería posible que mi camioneta NO tenga ese sistema incorporado para poder hacer el procedimiento como UD.
@@edgardodiaz4183 a un lado del drposito viene un cilindro metalico que parece un filtro de aceite, en realidad es una bomba electrica que ayuda a mantener la presion del sistema de frenos, al momento de presionar el pedal de freno este tiene que accionarse, va a escuchar como que vibra, si tu auto no tiene esta bomba entonces este procedimiento no te va a funcionar
