- Staff from Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action literally meet people where they are, bringing supplies to keep people alive in the heat. With an ATV and a trailer full of water, outreach workers went deep into Wallace Marine Park to visit people struggling to stay cool.

@@jinndiaz3752 No to shelters and cooling centers there are programs to help these people. But there is a catch they are helped getting ID's put on drug programs and are helped to look for a job. Alot of them do not want that they want everything handed to them.

100° Id. take that.. sounds like beautiful weather… here it’s 115 on a daily basis pretty much still beautiful just don’t underestimate your hydration. Level. Minimum a gallon a day whether you feel like drinking or not… the low yesterday here 89.. with no breeze that’s the worst.. I’m also homeless but I still got my car to sleep in so it could be worse. I’m not very much a hot weather person, but I definitely gotten used to it. I’d rather be warm and hot than freeze to death.. only 9 more weeks of this and then the rest of the year is beautiful. I’ll take that… right now I’m sitting in the park, plugged into the outlet, charging my devices and using public Wi-Fi. What more can youwith a beautiful pond near by

I have a dog a small dog.. lifelong pet. Can’t get rid of them he is 12 years old. Right now I’m gonna put stuff on the Internet if somebody can watch him while I go search for work… 40 $50 a day is pretty expensive to watch a dog.. somebody is willing to help me out for a month or so then I can start paying.. or if they need work around the house.. but yeah, that’s only thing holding me back right now can’t leave him in the car.. he goes with me wherever I go

Crazy skyrocketing housing and rent prices, evictions, layoffs - nobody have a warranty. And this is just a visible homelessness, but how many sleep in cars... and they became like that not in a one day, so mental issues etc might be not a root cause, but in opposite, like a chicken and an egg.
That's stupidity of cruel people with short mind - "everyone can become a homeless, but for sure not me, with me it will never happened". Nobody knows.
