It astonishes me how there isn't more outcry for an MvM overhaul. Casually mentioning how these tours may take experienced players literal hours to complete only for a guaranteed mediocre strange or a 3% chance at an item worth anywhere from 4 keys - 100 keys really doesn't justify the pay-to-play investment. There's a reason why there's an elitist community around MvM high tours, they've all fallen into the sunk-cost fallacy trap. MvM would probably more casual and fun if everytime you played, ticket or no ticket, you were rewarded for your time investment. Even if it was like a Contracker or Competitive Mode Pass, a one-time purchase for infinite tours would be infinitely more consumer friendly than our current pay to play slog. Not to mention give some purpose to the Squad Surplus Tickets.
Well first, Valve is a company. They need money and tf2 is surprisingly a money pool. MvM is one of the main things that circulate the economy and it's a financial disaster if things like passes are handed out for free. I am more easy going for if something like low tier hats and scrap are rewarded. Maybe high-tier caps as a chance and smthn like a civic duty stat clock instead of aussies. Also, there is a massive outcry for an overhaul, and we may get it. There's been recent updates fully-community based that went so well (except for Wutville..) and this will get the community update idea back on their feet. Remember TF2 devs are skeptical of using the pre-made updates because of the community invasion update. There was arguments about paying which ended with Valve taking control, the update a failure and the devs discouraged. But the recent updates may get our community hands back into the ring! And to top it off, there's a suuuper low chance of aussies than before thanks to bots. People think bots are okay but that's false. They grind for loot and shove all of it into the economy which will cause the prices of these rare items to plummet. So the rates were decreased for rarer items. If you see a bot, kick it and help the economy.
The problem with two cities is if you get a professional or a specialised kill-streak fabricator, you'll have to play more two cities tours to get the robot parts for them or you have to spend money on the parts and specialised kill streak weapon to craft it. Here I am, 12:07, 7/25/20, listening to a man talk through a potato about guns in a video game.
Here I am, 1:28 AM, doing the same thing with no sounds because the people in my house like to sleep with the door open
By far the most usefull video i found about this
Thank you in my way to play mecha engine and two cities
Nice video, but I have a question
Which MVM tours give most profit?
I love this comment. You almost had me typing “did you not watch the video?” LMFAO
I once saw and screenshotted a Demoman getting an Australium Stickybomb Launcher on his first tour of Gear Grinder.
Talk about hitting jackpot.
I've finished two cities only once, I'm on tour number two lmaooooo
Same
Mecha Engine=Aussie Time and more expensive bks
Two Shitties=More stonks in total
Gear Grinder=Aussie Time and bigger challenge
I like that the Tour Number essentially gives the entire video away. XD
Remember a mannco cap 2 hours in game on his 1st tour got an ausie. We were mad af cause I got 21 tours and 0 Australium
what aussie was it?
Idk
Got my first aussie in my first tour kekw
Obama Ghost blutsluger 😂😭
bootcamp because you actually play with enjoyable people
now it seems the drop rates of some of them have been broken for months now, either that or just turned off because valve reasons.
It was stated in a recent update that a bug was fixed which caused Australiam quick fixes to not drop. There’s your proof lol
@@justinbuddy56 Quick fix? Lmao you mean Australium Wrenches and Medi guns?
@@FrozenDragon0630 yep
i've had 3/6 completed on operation steel trap since 2012 when mvm came out. doubt I'll ever get to finish my other 3 but I'd honestly love to, plus just do a single tour of oil spill just to say that I have.
The strategy is to keep 1 mission undone so u can "infest" the Mann-up servers when u want without paying any tickets (of course re-doing the missions u already did, and with a single ticket in the BP, just to get admittance, not to be consumed)
I haven't spent over 5 dollars on the game (the activation) and i finally traded up enough to buy an MvM ticket with ref! Gonna play later today! Wish me luck!
Speaking of professional fabricators, I got a flame thrower that was worth 50 bucks and I sold it. Best payday ever. That probably paid for all of my current mvm tours. But I just bought a few games and another set of tour of duty tickets with it
Even if you can get australiums in the other tours, people only play Two Cities for the robots parts and killstreak stuff
Thank you so much
This helped me understand MvM more
my dumbass forgot the name of "two cities" and thought "two towers"
We got Steel Crap, Money Engine, Two Dollars, and Noob Grinder
Got my first Australium on my 4th tour...
It was Australium Medigun :)
UPD: I was scammed a week later, so yeah. Too bad for me.
That’s a foul chain of reply’s hope you get it back one day Aussie medi gun has to be one of the most expensive most valuable one and my fav.
I haven't watched this video yet but i played only 1 game of mvm in man up so i decided to play more of that and when i play finally mvm and beat the levels someone had the tour completed and they got the Australian grenade launcher
glad i was playing two cities lmfao
Same
I've done three tours on Two Cities and got a Professional Kit
Then I did my first ever tour on Mecha and got an Aussie black box.
...
B r u h
@imthebiggestbird you arent
good to know that u can get australiums from other tours thx
no cap i just dropped an australium black box on my second tour, thanks for the vid!
It wasn't until 40-50 tours before I got my first aussi
I've played 5 tours of two cities and I got an aussie tomislav. now I can't play anymore mvm.
Dude, aussie tomislav is awesome
Aussie tomislav is a great drop
The other tours are also usually swarming with noobs. More likely to find compident players in two city's
Surprisingly, the players i’ve found in Mecha Engine were (at least i think) more competent than Two Cities players.
@@planterbox far cry from when it first came out. Im telling you.
I ONLY find noobs in two cities, but hey I don’t mind teaching people the ropes
@@samurailobster6561 me neither. Trouble is alot refuse it.
MvM golden rule: if you’re playing for profit, you’re doing it wrong.
i do it for fun; the tacobots act like they'll gonna get a golden pan
on my FIRST TOUR, i dropped a professional killstreak rocket launcher kit, and those have been going for about 65-80 on the steam market
I got two australiums in within SIX two cities tours, one was a wrench, naturally my peers were very unhappy, yet it was too late for them to kick me
everyones saying it took them around 20+ tours for their first aussie, but for me it took only four tours to get one. now i love playing heavy to flex my aussie minigun
For some reason people get more aussies in Mecha Engine than Two Cites
I’ve done 23 two cities tours, one Aussie eyelander, and one Aussie rocket launcher,
Tbh thats mad profit
enjoyment + profit wow!
18 tours not even a blutsauger
Thanks man, at least i have idea where spent money
3 tour And drop Australium Eyelander ez Im so lucky
if I got an Aussie Eyelander I would never sell it
Profit?
The steam marketplace
I got an australium frontier justice from my second ever tour…
me and gg vs tc is just the eternal fight between time and money
TLDR: Mecha engine, two cities and Gear Grinder give the most stonks.
yo man
you made this video because of me in your live mr.cheesy i was asking this
I think that Gear Grinder is easier than Mecha and Two Cities because meta is Simpler. When i was doing Gear first time i just had gone for Heavy bc other classes were taken and i heard it was one of easier classes to manadge in expert, and it was not a lie. Only other tour i finished was Mecha and i was doing it for few days bc of either noob teams or toxic teams, when i tried to do Two Cities i stopped on first mission bc of toxic players. And Gear? Gear was my most pleasant experience in MVM and maybe i did not get an Aussie yet but i definitely like to robohead guns.
You sound like a calm version of GreekGodX
THE SACRED TEXTS
Much appreciated.
If you want to play MvM for fun, you can just buy 1 Tour of Duty ticket, and at the end of a mission leave the match, the ticket will NOT be used. ( Its only used when you get your loot )
you can just play bootcamp
The best I've gotten was a professional wrench kit
I just like cosmetics so i just do any mission that can get me the most decent cosmetic that i know i will like a lot on any gun.
I just wish I would enjoy TF2 anymore :/
I play MvM tours hoping to get a Flamethrower aussie one day, but I also like the gamemode very much
Dude the fucking best day of my LIFE!!!!!! DUDE I GOT THE GOLDEN PAN
I would like to ask if I turn on the mission in mvm and left it while I have already used the ticket so that the ticket will disappear? or it will remain for me until I complete the entire mission, I would like to know the answer to this.
It only gets used if you completed the whole mission, so no worries
@@mstrelokm6023 Thanks !
A year ago, I was finishing my 89 tour and the first tour guy got a pan. TF2 is makin’ fun of everyone. Lucky guy by the way.
Got a gold botkiller scattergun from my first Mecha Engi tour. Pretty nice
My dream item is Gold or Diamond Strange scatter I’ve been trying to save 29 refined to buy on scrap. Tf
nothing is profit, it's just the worlds slowest slotmachine but i enjoy pain so i play it a lot
Today I got my first ever australium from a tour (I have had one more, not from a tour), on tour #4 on Mecha Engine I can happily say.
I GOT A AUSTRALIUM STICKYBOMB LAUNCHER BABY, WOOOOOOO
i got an australium knife on my 1st MvM Two Cities tour.
but i was a dumbass and sold it on steam market cause i didnt know much about trading yet
(i think the mvm tickets were the first, or one of the first items i bought in the game)
what is the difference between trading it and selling?
@@AzazelTV18 i sold it on steam market, but not even for what it was trully worth - i sold it at the highest buy offer that was currently on the steam market.
i could trade it for keys and get much more value that way, then i could even sell the keys for real money if i wanted to
I got 2 australiums in 9 tours....sniper rifle and force nature. Im afraid to play more because my luck probably dropped =D
Nice
Both of those are really good too
Remember folks, it’s called two shittys for a reason
Thanks for this video! :D
let's be honest, none of us like low RNG, but it is the only reason why the price are so high so you have two choice, keep playing tour and hope for a good drop or just play boot camp since people are actually chill there
I usually do Boot Camp if I want to go full SMG Sniper or some stupid Sub-Class
On my 3rd tour I got 3 crates. Wasn't an aussie unfortunately though. Did get an smg professional fabricator though which made me a little profit from the tour.
I have been just doing expert without knowing you get killstreak stuff this whole time
