If your iPad is cellular (SIM card slot) it has gps installed. You don’t have to put a sim card in it to get gps position.

I would worry about the GPS plug getting bent or damaging the IPad charge socket. I fly with a Mini 4 and wifi with pilot aware to get the GPS signal with a modified FlyBoy knee board that I have added a method of holding the poly pockets and check list cards on. It makes it slim and gives me a system a bit like the second knee board you have but smaller. I might have to do a video on that sometime.

No built in GPS, hence the GPS receiver :)

This is enticing but Ican't seem to install but ,that might be more my fault having had a stroke in 2017 My thumb coordination is seriously rubbish!
Maybe I ought to think hard to about that before I try to fly!??????⁹>8[ injury I 7C hi?!!
