@@5starace511 it's likely to mar up the mating surfaces, potentially causing leaks once it's put back together. You need to be careful with heads especially, you don't want a weak head gasket
Suggestions: Invest in a cheap electric power washer and reduce the time going to the car wash. Maybe spritz some fogging oil over the internal parts of the engine after washing. Don't use chlorinated brake cleaner if it might come in contact with internal seals; I saw you use non-chlorinated - good choice.
To clean anything really dirty the best method is rinse-wash-rinse. The pressure washer is a terrific tool and should be used first, as it will remove water-soluble dirt and clean a lot of non-water-soluble dirt (oils, grease) using micro-abrasion (which is safe on metals and plastics, at least if they are thick enough to withstand the water blast which engines are). Then you can use surfactants / degreasers / chemical cleaners to remove the remaining oil and grime. Soaking works a lot better after the pre-rinse. Then you can come back with the pressure washer and remove the cleaners and dissolved dirt and whatever it has loosened up. Much more efficient and effective. Rinse-wash-rinse!
Thank you for showing "La's Totally Awesome" cleaner/degreaser!! This stuff is amazing and does the job you want to achieve amazingly!! Also add some to your wash when doing laundry and your stains will be gone and clothes will look brighter.
Your cleaning the valves and mating surfaces with a wire brush, leaving heads on bare concrete and then pressure washing heads like flash rust doesn’t exist. You do understand the average person will destroy his car watch this.
Soon as you spray the blech white tire cleaner it turns brown and the grease is running off. Cleans the dry brown residue thats left. I have used it carbs too.
no commercial but that stuff works the best. Thank you please like, share, and subscribe, also please check out my other channel Salem Taxi, on UA-cam for more material on a different level.
where are you from? gas here is $3.00 US and the cleaner is $1.00us per bottle THANKS FOR WATCHING !!!! Please like share and subscribe, also check my other channel, Salem Taxi on YOU TUBE . Thanks.
Bro how on earth you gonna sit engine heads down on raw concrete?!
I was thinking the same damn thing
I'm still new to driving but is their a problem with resting my engine or engine head on raw concrete?

There on sheets of wood and going to be rebuilt.
Bruh, I can't stress how LITTLE that matters! As long as u don't drag it on the ground or put weight on top of it, it's FINE!!🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Can't use a pressure washer during the winter.
@@Pk3_GarageI’m trying to figure out how to degrease my parts in winter as well, have you figured something out?
I absolutely love your totally awesome videos!
thank you,

Did you clean the valley and tops of pistons with motor together?
what about the more important oil channels inside the heads?
I put a pint of brake fluid in a crankcase with 5.5 quarts new motor oil. Do you think that will do anything bad for 5,000 miles?

Was thinking the same thing lol
aluminum don't rust furthermore the brush is softer then the metal and the bristles will break off before causing any damage.
Will this work if you leave engine in? I don’t want to pull everything. If not what would you recommend?
Totally awesome will literally stip the paint off of a car when it's undiluted so be careful people. Let my mistake save you some money.
Thank you for that
What did you do to get the water out of the powerwashed parts? I'm assuming we don't air dry lol
Bauer sawdust blower from Harbor freight.
Soon as you spray the blech white tire cleaner it turns brown and the grease is running off. Cleans the dry brown residue thats left. I have used it carbs too.
I found that stuff works even better if you shake the bottle and get it to foam especially when its down in the bottle a bit
What that spray stuff using here
have you ever run awesome through a vacuum hose like people do with seafoam?
It’s mainly water whereas sea foam is oil based. Would want to steam clean my pistons
People laugh at me but I love LA Totally Awesome
when they try it they will love it too
Works awesome
I used a power washer with water and purple power cleaner worked pretty well.
How you dry it off?? Air hose??
Yu can use diesel instead it cuts the grease and dirt like a pro
Degreaser, a brush n a garden hose gets the same results!
brush requires muscle, let the chemical do the work.
You should try oven cleaner spray can and let it sit for 5 minute then hit with a pressure washer comes of easy as pie
Sealing surfaces on concrete? Is that really a good idea?
oven cleaner from the dollar store works even better in my opinion and a lot less money
how oven cleaner is more then a dollar and very caustic.
I second that
Just use a Parts Washer. No mess to clean up and it can be environmentally friendly, if using a water base cleaner.
do you realize how much part washer cleaner cost?
Yes.
LA TOTALLY AWESOME works wonders and I use it to remove anodized parts but it’s does eat away aluminum. Be careful.
Thanks for watching , please like, share, and subscribe
Vinegar works great
Other videos found that Stuff doesn't work. Need a couple Cases of Brake cleaner to Do even a small 4 cyl engine.
How much did you spend at the car wash?
🤣🤣
Thats oil dirt, easy.. How to clean halfcut engine parts like JDM parts which got alloy corrosion?
ill make a video for u
Or you can use gasoline to clean oily parts.(spraying)
gas is flammable and expensive. now make it make sense
Is this a commercial for O Reilly's Brake cleaner ?
no commercial but that stuff works the best.

Awesome
Nothing cleans and cuts through built up engine oil and sludge like a good ol’ fashioned soaking in gasoline in a plastic tub.
If you could spend $200 and buy a 30litre sonic cleaner and 3 gal of Awesome your parts come out amazing while you are doing something else
This looks like a Range rover or land rover. Is it?
neither.
Head has a Chrysler logo?
correct

And all those chemicals go into the ground, environment, etc. But who cares, your crappy parts are clean.
Petrol does a much better job also you don't need to spray 1L bottle over it😂
petrol is expensive , flammable, and toxic for the environment.
now what was you saying
@@crazysexycool180 I don't know where you live but where I live Petrol is 1.50€ per Liter!
And the product that you used is over priced!
