Ryobi 22in Brushless Hedge Trimmer

Our old hedge trimmer had seen better days. So we went out and bought a new Ryobi 22in brushless one. We already have other 18 volt Ryobi batteries so this will be another addition to all the other Ryobi tools we have.
This video was made as a demonstration on how to repair things and should not be done with out the proper training and safety equipment. Besides getting the 18v there is a 40v also and its much more powerful but yea the 18v does cut good, if you can oder the 40v trimmer.

Thanks for sharing and a good video demonstrating the product. I just purchased the same trimmer and so far so good other than battery life. However, I do have 4 batteries I can rotate from other Ryobi items, so I'm like you regarding the no cord ability is a good trade off. We'll see how long it stays sharp. Thanks.

I'm looking for a light hedge trimmer! I have the older 18v trimmer and it just wears me out in not time. So I'm looking for something light yet cuts 1/2" branches.

I do not think this is the one for you. 1/2 is really to big for this one.

@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore So you are familiar with the Milwaukee 8" trimmer? My Ryobi will cut anything so I don't need the Milwaukee to cut the biggest branches. The Ryobi weights about 8 lb so what would be ideal is a 4 lb trimmer that would cut 3/4" branches but I don't see that the physics works for that.

How long does the battery last on a full charge roughly?

I have not used it enough to kill the battery.

It's not about the battery charge it's about the weight! The Ryobi I have is so heavy there is no way I could use it long enough to wear the battery out!
