I like mine. After a 20 years of using a no brand with cord, this is a gift from above.

Think it can handle branches more than 1"?
I also want to use it to trim back some crazy ivy we have growing over a wall

Great & helpful review!! Thank you!! I'm going to buy one. Not the kit but the tool & battery.

I honestly hate Ryobi color choice. But I did buy their 40 volt 15" weed eater and blower with the turbo option.
I will admit for 249.99 (caught it on sale) I am pretty impressed. I can weed eat and clear off the walk and drive with one fully charged battery, just barely, but it will get it done.
This looks like it might be a good addition to my set considering I already have a bigger battery.
Thanks again for another great video brother.

In Japan, ryobi tools are a nice blue color.
Unfortunately both US and Japanese ryobi are made in China (factory it's supposedly overseen by Japanese execs though)

I have a older Ryobi 10" compound miter saw that is the blue color. I seriously wish they had kept it. I honestly dislike this kids toy green.

@@randysmith9636 believe it or not i bought a wired electric old blue Ryobi drill on eBay. That thing is solid and runs like new. It must be 30 years old

The miter saw is probably 9 maybe 10 years old. I have built numerous decks, a few sheds and two disability ramps. It still does as she should, no complaints at all.

I just got my 26 inch hedge trimmer and the rotating handle doesn't work properly. It doesn't lock it just freely spins. I called the factory and only got robots. nobody answers the phone to take care of me!

This ryobi actually has sharpened blades. All the ones I’ve seen, along with the old ones don’t have sharp blades.

The MAKITA-XHU07T is by far the best hedge trimmer on the market. Fastest blade speed and best ergonomics not to mention a reverse 😉 Literally a scalpel and quieter!

Makita hedge trimmers are the most expensive trimmers out there! Even more costly than the Milwaukee trimmers. What I'm looking for is a lighter hedge trimmer than my Ryobi (that works just fine but wears me out quickly)

I have both Ryobi 18 volt trimmer and pole trimmer. For the unknow reason, my pole trimmer works great, but the regular trimmer has the same issue not able to trim the bushes smoothly and finally I gave up and toss away on this Ryobi 18 volt 22" trimmer within 1 years. Something is wrong about this trimmer not able to catch or cut down the branches..........................

Looks like good weight. Not as heavy as my Toro 60v hedge trimmer. The sweep is an interesting add on.

If it's like my Ryobi 18v hedge trimmer it's really heavy! Mine cuts great but just wears me out in no time!

It's ALL about the weight! Is this one light? I have an 18v Ryobi trimmer and it just wears me out in no time because of the weight.

    • @dkmi

It isn't going to be lighter than your 18v.

    Anti jam = anti cut
Is it possible the low speed setting actually reduces the tendency of the heavier limbs being forced out of the cutters?

That's what I'm wondering. Blades are going to fast for thick branches and spits them out rather than getting a good bite. I'm surprised he didn't try that.

Is it heavy? My Ryobi is so heavy I'm looking for something light.

    • @stans5270
      @stans5270 7 місяців тому

@@joeking433 It's not heavy, but also not light. Half of the weight comes from the bar, so to cut weight, you need a shorter bar.
What I like about my 18V one is that the battery is lighter than 40V and it's nicely balanced with a 4Amp battery. The 4Amp battery will last longer than your arms holding the trimmer. It's almost twice as powerful as a 20V B&D hedge trimmer.
If it fits in the blade 99% of the time it will cut it.
