As a Vietnamese New Orleanian myself, I am very proud of my culture. My parent's home culture mixed with the culture of the Best City in the Whole Damn World. Our food is THE BEST. THE BEST ANYWHERE.
Whenever I go back to New Orleans to visit family and the Vietnamese New Orleans community, they always pile mountain of this stuff (and much more not covered in the video) in front of me and I just dig in.
God bless the Vietnamese Americans for finding New Orleans! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

So far, this is the best FOODIE show you guys done... I been to that restaurant for a birthday party... try the crab shack in San Diego. Do level 3 spice. I ordered the level 7 and it was a mistake. Spicy, and the spice overpowered the crawfish. I'm from the east coast and crawfish is just a miniature lobster. If I had choice from shrimp and crawfish, crawfish because it is rare here in the west coast. If you go to Maryland and Virginia (Hampton Roads area) Crab is king. The watermen of the Chesapeake Bay will school you in how to catch them, cook them, and eat them.
Quick note on lobsters. West Coast lobsters (Pacific Ocean lobsters) are cooked with the tail meat only because they do not have claws like the Maine or East Coast lobsters. The tasty part of the lobster (in my opinion) is the stomach. It has green stuff inside (Lobster's last meal) and have the sea food taste to it. BTW, put Tabasco sauce on everything, including other sauces.

Like you guys said, there is so much Vietnamese culture in Louisiana. We even have an area in Baton Rouge called "New Saigon".
There are tons of Vietnamese-Cajun twist restaurants like this in Louisiana. Some of the best crawfish I've ever eaten was at a restaurant just like this. The Asian flavors are great with the traditional Cajun flavors and take crawfish to a whole new level.

YuutoHiroshige They actually changed the name to LA Fisherman. I don't know why but I guess maybe there was some conflict with the original The Boiling Crab's owner? Anyway, it has the same taste and at the same place too. In fact, they've opened another place on Richmond Ave. opposite of Costco.

    • @animemagatinierme

+who ami I cant speak for other parts of canada but in quebec we have pea soup, creton, feves au lard, montreal styled smoke meat, paté chinois, poutine, maple candy ( fudge, hard and spreadable), maple syrup, venison, smoked fish, canadian bacon, montreal style bagels( they are made by Jews who are the best doctors and bread makers ever) and many other things. A lot of traditional stuff though has to be made by scratch or you have to really look. A fun thing to do is to go sugaring off or caban a sucre which is where you go have a meal ( includes eggs, pork, chicaron, soup, pancakes or pancake donuts among other things) after that one could enjoy a visit with farm animals and depending where a horse ride. After that you can enjoy a sticky and sweet tire sur la neige ( Maple syrup which is heated until thick then poured over snow)
