+Ms. Keysha Wineglass yes to the pretzel. but idk if i've had italian ice. then again I'm from jersey. born there though. but a nice hot pretzel to snack and warm your hands while you walk in the biting cold, thats the best.
I no longer live in NYC but I'm a New Yorker for life. Great video! You made my mouth water. Some of those foods just can't be called by the same name once you leave NYC in particular. Upstate is no better. Shout out for the pizza, bagels, Chinese food and cheesecake.
You guys nailed that one. And yeah, cheap pizza is real nyc pizza. Less iconic than your 7 but still NYC staples to me are babkas, a good ny deli breakfast sandwich, matzo ball soup.
Kid Chef Noodles similar to Chow Mein are featured in many Jamaican gatherings. Surprisingly that's the only one I can think of. Our soup, which you should definitely try also has a small amount of noodles in too but the flavour is completely Carribean. For the record my wife is Korean and she's crazy over Jamaican food and all the Asian friends we have.
Damn I'm from New York and I fuck with everything on the list but 2 bros was a terrible pizza choice. That's the last resort,"I gotta eat now or i'll die" type of pizza. I would have went with Patsy's in Spanish Harlem to show some love to the upper east side then maybe a chimi truck in the heights.
+TheBrothersCompound Agreed! Even Joe's would've been better and they weren't too far from 14th st if they were trying to stay local. Although 2 Bros is a classic in it's own right, definitely isn't the staple for NYC. Proud of you guys for 95% of this list though! Next time you're here hit David's Bagels on 1st ave.
+PrankHubTV Thats true but since new york is so expensive... when you see something this cheap. its definitely going to be good :D LOL the struggles man. also a huge fan of you :D
+TheBrothersCompound also, real new yorkers get the 5$ gyros from the halal truck or some ox tail and jerk. Hitting up cheap food trucks on lunch breaks.
I know you guys are from Seattle, so I can give you a pass on some of the “knowledge” you try to pass on your viewers about California that are off point, but as foodies, this is wrong on so many levels. I don’t know if you did any research before making this video, or just didn’t have time to upload a good quality content. Based on the locations you went, you could have just done this video back in Seattle and just showed pictures of food. Because you are doing a disservice to your viewers by the locations you went, making them think that it is a good spot to get quality food. 2Bros Pizza? And you guys are foodies? Might as well just went to dominos in Brooklyn. It’s an insult and disrespect. How would you like it, if I was doing video on Seattle foods, and went to some gas station in downtown Seattle to get coffee and try to pass it off as cheap quality food?
New York potato knishes, assorted fillings, from Jewish deli or bagel stores. Goes great along side your hot dog and pastrami sandwich, or all by itself. Oysters from The Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station. And all the delicious Italian Pizza all over NY, not just the one dollar one. The lovely Central Park food carts that have been there for years. THANK YOU GUYS, YOUR GREAT!
I'm from Brooklyn. You're suppose to get the hot dogs from a street cart, not from a hot dog shop. Also, you missed out on the pork fried rice at the chinese restaurant!
Just stumbled across this video and I just wanted to say that you guys have a great, happy attitude and make the video entertaining yet informative. Subscribed!
Hey guys, I have some question for the youtube community, and of course, any new yorker here in this comments box, or the FungBros: - Is it difficult find a good apartment in Brooklyn or Manhattan with a low price? - Is it difficult or possible to afford/share the expenses with a roomate? - Is it difficult to find roomates in NY? I'm from Mexico, and I'd like to spend some months in NY and having a good time! Greetings from Ver, Mex! Nice videos guys! Keep doing this kind of videos!
Hah, i like the tidbit at the end to introduce the offscreen crew. That's nice. Your videos are shot very well and the editing is amazing. Shoutout to your production team
I went to visit New York City with my family when I was small. We ate lots of Pizza Hit, Burger King and Subway . I thought American food was amazing..
I love the Doughnut Plant; Dunkin Donuts can never measure up to the quality and freshness of ones from the Plant. My all-time fave is the peanut butter and strawberry jelly-filled square! And omfg, the last filming spot in the vid is literally on my block! LES represent.
I haven't lived in New York for 24 years, but your vid took me back to the days when I'd buy bagels in the Bronx, or donuts from down the street, or Cuban-Chinese food on the upper West Side. Not to mention Katz's. Thanks for posting this.
Haha this is so funny to me because I've been to all these places working with my dad. We have a place in downtown manhattan which sells everything from bagels to donuts to hotdogs :) after work we sometimes eat anything like 2bros pizza from east village and go out to this halal food place called Mamoons ( amazing place).
+Adam Tan It's a dollar a slice which evens out to a full pizza being $8. Not as cheap as it seems especially since the ingredients for pizza don't cost that much.
Definitely! Especially since it's always better by the slice rather than a whole pie for some reason. It's far from bad pizza, we just have high standards ;)
Aside from fine dining, there's also the Halal Guys, Joe's Shanghai, Street hot dogs/pretzels, shake shack and a lot more. NYC is one of the best city to live because of this delicious diversity we have!
Ayy an early welcome to New York City! Don't worry, gangsters and shit aren't everywhere, but you will see graffiti. And for the food, its hella good! The Costco veggie pies are to DIE for! Try out every gyro stand, you'll love it!
You guys really hit it on the head. I was spoiled on all of those- including the shrimp or pork fried rice with shrimp & lobster sauce and the best egg rolls ever. I must say that as I was actually eating a New York slice (folded in half lengthwise, of course) as I watched this and I was waiting for you to get to that cheesecake! Yeah!
True, but I think that they were referring to NY food that has been their for a long time and has gained the NY food status. Halal Guys is pretty recent as it was established in 1990, whereas the other foods mentioned in the video were basically a part of modern New York cuisine
+spuhtanous combatment I was thinking the same thing! All the time I could here my uncle behind me going, "OY, THOSE PRICES!" My dad's side is Eastern European Jewish.
Stupid comment. What is being black, white, Asian, or Latin. No group is monolithic in the way they dress, act, or talk. Just travel to different parts of America, and to different economic, and educational areas and you will see what I'm talking about. Get a life.

new yorker don't know pizza it's all about chicago deep dish it would take 10 slices of skinny ass new York pizza just to eliminate my hunger there's just so little stuff on a slice it couldn't keep a starving child alive I'm just trying to start a debate here now my fellow commenters... FIGHT!!!!!!
I have to disagree entirely, Deep dish is nothing but delicious tomato sauce, piled upon fresh bread, stacked high with cheese, and takes a real man to finish a whole pizza
chicago has the best deep dish but we have the best pizza overall. tyler we have a couple chicago esc places that could cook a meaner deepdish then you have ever seen
Hey Fung Bros. I'd like to add a correction. The Gen. Tso's dish was actually created by a Chinese chef in Taiwan. Another NYC Chef bit off of his idea and never gave him credit. When the original chef moved to NYC to make his dish, it was too late. the NYC Chef had already made his stamp on the dish. Netflix has a documentary on the topic.
You guys should do another one with Dominican food, Puerto Rican, Jamaican spots and the steak sub spots... You gotta have a steak sub, it will change your life
You guys forgot the NY Pretzel and Italian Ice.
+Ms. Keysha Wineglass yes to the pretzel. but idk if i've had italian ice. then again I'm from jersey. born there though. but a nice hot pretzel to snack and warm your hands while you walk in the biting cold, thats the best.
Nitron DSP lol, never had NY italian ice, just the kind you get at Rita's
I no longer live in NYC but I'm a New Yorker for life. Great video! You made my mouth water. Some of those foods just can't be called by the same name once you leave NYC in particular. Upstate is no better. Shout out for the pizza, bagels, Chinese food and cheesecake.
You guys nailed that one. And yeah, cheap pizza is real nyc pizza. Less iconic than your 7 but still NYC staples to me are babkas, a good ny deli breakfast sandwich, matzo ball soup.
I love the steak fries of those pizza houses, they are made from real high quality potatoes
+shayan ahmadpour I see him all over the place XD he da mudda man
+shayan ahmadpour same omg
it's like you're subscribed to asian channels lol
Stfu bitch
+Viet Lee POTATOES
It's Chicago that doesn't put ketchup on their hot dogs, but New Yorkers love it
yeah exactly!
You guys should try Jamaican food!!! Plz
Second that. And at the same time discuss Chinese Jamaican people
+Nathaniel Mills absolutely!! There are so many of us out there!!! Woop and they mostly are Cantonese speakers
+Nathaniel Mills is there a commonly eaten Chinese-Jamaican fusion dish?
Kid Chef Noodles similar to Chow Mein are featured in many Jamaican gatherings. Surprisingly that's the only one I can think of.
Our soup, which you should definitely try also has a small amount of noodles in too but the flavour is completely Carribean.
For the record my wife is Korean and she's crazy over Jamaican food and all the Asian friends we have.
+Nathaniel Mills thanks! would love to try them! Is there a special name for Jamaican noodles! I really like Jamaican stews and jerk chicken.
Damn I'm from New York and I fuck with everything on the list but 2 bros was a terrible pizza choice. That's the last resort,"I gotta eat now or i'll die" type of pizza. +TheBrothersCompound Stanton St Pizza!
+PrankHubTV Na Two Bros is pretty good cheap eats. Theres some good dollar pizzas and a lot of poor ones.
+TheBrothersCompound also, real new yorkers get the 5$ gyros from the halal truck or some ox tail and jerk. Hitting up cheap food trucks on lunch breaks.

BACON EGG AND CHEESE IS A CLASSIC BOYYYYY THATS A MUST FOR A NEW YORKERS BREAKFAST
That $1 a slice beat the costco pizza in so many different levels yo
+jowowetan cause its so fresh
New York potato knishes, assorted fillings, from

As a person who lives in Ny I get to experience this everyday. You guys should do a eating contest
If you have never eaten fried timbs then you're not a new yorker.
How can you leave out chicken and rice??
They did a separate video. Best halal everrrrr! They coming to H-town too!
alessandra ruiz Neither did pizza or donuts or chinese food?
alessandra ruiz You're thinking waaay too deep into this...
+Aldrin Amistad Bro u mean Chicken over rice. and i thing they left it out cause they did a video on it already
I think you mean Hainanese chicken rice?
Hey guys, I have some question for the youtube community, and of course, any new yorker here in this comments box, or the FungBros:
- Is it difficult find a good apartment in Brooklyn or Manhattan with a low price?

I went to visit New York City with my family when I was small. We ate lots of Pizza Hit, Burger King and Subway . I thought American food was amazing..

I like how you guys are so open to all kinds of cultures and food :)
Y'all gotta try some Russian food in Brighton beach, Brooklyn
I haven't lived in New York for 24 years, but your vid took me back to the days when I'd buy bagels in the Bronx, or donuts from down the street, or Cuban-Chinese food on the upper West Side. Not to mention Katz's. Thanks for posting this.
KATZ is more Manhattan
Juniors is the shxt over here in Brooklyn
i watch this video already 30 times a week its crazy i love the vid
You guys should have gone to Papaya's on 72nd and Broadway, that's a real NYC hot dog

junior's cheesecake, spots dessert, ramen at east village, pom frites, dough doughnut, the chocolate room, brunch at williamsburg, etc.
Wow that's my favorite city. One day would like to be there to eat.
Always entertaining. Keep up the good work
Is $1 pizza actually supposed to be good? Surely they have to skimp on something to make it $1... otherwise someone please bring some to Australia ;)
For people used to quality New York pizza it's just drunk food or a cheap quick eat. But for people used to mediocre pizza it's probably amazing
+Olivia Lee facts lol
+Adam Tan It's a dollar a slice which evens out to a full pizza being $8. Not as cheap as it seems especially since the ingredients for pizza don't cost that much.
Ah that's what I thought :) Sounds good for a quick option!
Y'all should have hit up Smorgasburg.
Oh gosh.. Every time I see any of these episode that includes food it makes me wanna have the food that there're having 😍😍🍩🍕🍖🍰🍗

You guys are adorable! I'm moving to NYC next month and I can't wait to eat the whole city!! :D

Yeah!
I noticed ur "mom" in fear the walking dead yesterday
I love pastrami, coney dogs, pizza, and doughnuts. Great video guys
no halal?
They already made a video about halal guys
Jeffrey H. but it's still a big new york food.
True, but I think that they were referring to NY food that has been their for a long time and has gained the NY food status. Halal Guys is pretty recent as it was established in 1990, whereas the other foods mentioned in the video were basically a part of modern New York cuisine
+gokucrazy22 smh. everyone knows that the food trucks are the ny staple. thats where you get your 5$ gyros on lunch breaks from the office.

You just got to love chinese people who think they are black...
Stupid comment. What is being black, white, Asian, or Latin. No group is monolithic in the way they dress, act, or talk. Just travel to different parts of America, and to different economic, and educational areas and you will see what I'm talking about.
Get a life.
Todd Smith As a black person, I find it very offensive that the world hijacked my culture!
+brian kelly You big dummy, I have Black friends who don't act like the guys in the video. You are stereotyping these guys because they are Asian. They are just New Yorkers, blacks in the North West don't even act or speak like these guys in the video.
You need to get a life and see the world. It's bigger than your ghetto mentality.
Out of curiosity, where are you from?
Todd Smith The South Bronx. And you. Beverly Hills???
+brian kelly Figures, that's all you know. You've never been out of your neighborhood.
You guys MUST try Spumoni Gardens in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Hands down THE BEST square pizza in the entire city!
You guys forgot the most important! HALAL!!! And not the Halal Guys. There are way better carts out there than theirs.
I'm a native New Yorker. You forgot the Uncle Reuben sandwich: corn beef on rye with sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Later, some joker decided to use thousand island dressing instead. It stuck and personally, thousand island taste better with sauerkraut.
new yorker don't know pizza
it's all about chicago deep dish
it would take 10 slices of skinny ass new York pizza just to eliminate my hunger
there's just so little stuff on a slice
it couldn't keep a starving child alive
I'm just trying to start a debate here
now my fellow commenters...
FIGHT!!!!!!
Chicago deep dish is garbage. It's not ever real pizza. It's just a bowl of pizza ingredients.Traditional Italian pizza is the best.
I have to disagree entirely,
Deep dish is nothing but delicious tomato sauce, piled upon fresh bread, stacked high with cheese, and takes a real man to finish a whole pizza
chicago has the best deep dish but we have the best pizza overall. tyler we have a couple chicago esc places that could cook a meaner deepdish then you have ever seen
I would like to see this meaner deep dish than I've ever seen
+Tyler The Gamer You've clearly never been to Napoli

Is that Blue Scholars' Cornerstone I hear in the background? :D
Nice video! But the best bagels are in Montreal (Quebec). They are cooked in a wood oven! That makes all the difference!
You guys totally forgot about the 10 for $2 hand made dumplings right around that corner on Delancey and Hester.. So good and affordable!
Am just refreshing and watching the views go up
Surprised you didn't have food coma. Maybe you can cover the best nightspots with eats. Glad you are enjoying NY.
Please come to Toronto too! Can't wait to see how you guys think about Canada ;)
these guys make me want to move to NYC in love
You guys should do another one with Dominican food, Puerto Rican, Jamaican spots and the steak sub spots... You gotta have a steak sub, it will change your life
in high school we use to hit that same 1$ pizza spot up all the time and for breakfast id always get a bagel
