A very useful Video. Having had my E bike recently stolen with an angle grinder within seconds in London (it was captured on video by a passer by) anything less than a diamond level lock is a waste of money where there are professional teams who operate in broad daylight in public areas.

I like the Hiplok type of lock but I have the Litelok D lock for my bike. It does the same thing as the Hiplok but it has a more suitable design for locking my bike. Angle grinder resistant and big enough to be useful.

Great video, and very informative. If you purchase insurance, make sure you have read all of the terms and conditions before you sign up. For example, several insurers insist that you have two locks on your bike/e-bike making sure they are gold or diamond rated as stated in the video.

Ultimately, you want locks to slow down a thief and hope they don't have an angle grinder. The Hiplok D1000 is the most durable but too heavy to carry around with you. Where you lock it up is also important. Ideally to a Sheffield style bike stand which is cemented right into the ground, lock the back wheel, frame, and front wheel. Have GPS tracker (connect module), register your bike with bike register and insure it.

Would it not be easier to have quick release pedal and seat, be interesting to see a video to have bikes with locks and a bike with no pedals and seat just to see which one gets stolen.
