    This is so helpful! I was totally duped by all the people I've talked to about bearings being the most important thing for speed. I've learned so much about longboarding from your videos, thank you so much for your comprehensive advice!

    Haha, guilty. I’m one of those who could barely ride and went down the fastest hill I know at 32mph on a cruiser. No skill to brake what so ever and no clue what DH longboarding is. That went well.
    But what I did get out of it, was falling in love with longboarding. :)
    Just now learning to brake.

    My biggest mistake I made was listening to people who didn't know what they were talking about. More weight on your front foot they said, ... I've got ALL my weight on the Front foot I said. All your Weight on the Front isn't going to make Sliding easy.

  • @brianjames3753

    Wouldn't you go thru alot of shoe footbraking? Are those 73mm wheels any good for sliding? I want to skate on wet roads. Will it ruin my board?

    • @downhill254skate
      @downhill254skate  3 роки тому

      Brake soles help with making your shoes last a lot longer.
      Skating a wet road won't necessarily ruin your board. Just wipe it dry afterwards. You bearings may get destroyed over timne tho.
      Which wheels you talking about specifically?
