Terrific. Quite rare footage. Title says its the liner "Scythia" but it appears to be one of the Cunard-Anchor Line ships from circa 1921 CAMERONIA or CALIFORNIA. Also def. not 1930s but rather mid to late 1920s.

My parents and I sailed on the sythia from Southampton to New York around October 1956. I have fond memories of our voyage. I was 11 years old at the time. She was a steady vessel in rough seas and the food was great. My mother a suffered severe burn when a waiter carrying hot water spilled it all over her back while having dinner in the lounge. The medical staff were wonderful and she recovered completely after a month or so in New York.

My grandfather returned home to Glasgow, from new york on this ship in January 1932. He had left Scotland to seek a better life and work. Things didn’t work out for him, and so thankfully he came back, met my grandmother and had my mum,…. And now I’m here researching him. RIP Grandad Arthur.

My grandmother left Galway Ireland on this ship, in 1927. She met my grandfather, also from Galway, in Chicago, and here I am researching them.

The destination sign on one of the trams looks like 'Scotstoun' that's an area of Glasgow.
