It's a myth that immigration and muslims are recent, at least in big cities. I'm used to it. I went to a primary school in Walthamstow East London in 1980s and it was 70-80% Asian. Plenty of muslims. Although fewer women wore Hijabs who were muslim. Southall also had a lot of asians.
