The three best players play in defense. So defense really does win games
By that logic, offense wins games in the NFL no matter what, as the best players in the league are always QBs. Just because the top ranked prospects in this draft are defensive players, that doesn't say anything about defense winning games. It simply says that this is a strong class on the defensive side of the ball.

The Cardinals will not pick Ross in the first round. They lost 6 players of defense to free agency. Ross is a lightweight who is injury prone and they already have burners John Brown and JJ Nelson. With Foster still on your board, I'd expect Keim to select this guy.

I do not see Reuben Foster to fall to the Cardinals. If he does then wonderful but I don't see that happening. The Saints, 49ers, Browns, Jets, and Bengals, have a need at LB. The thing that is pissing my off as a Cardinals fan is that NOBODY is talking about the offensive line. Do any of you guys remember the beating Carson Palmer took last season? In my mock draft I have the Cardinals grabbing OG Dan Feeney who I would argue is the best offensive guard in the draft, and he's a right guard, an area the Cardinals need to address.

+Reborn - I don't think he's a typical1st round talent, but I don't see how he makes it out of the 1st round this year with how weak the class is.
+LSoFly - You comparing Watson and Wentz is idiotic. They were 2 completely different QBs coming out of college and pretty much every single scout would take Wentz over Watson in a second. Watson is better than Prescott and if Prescott wasn't in Dallas last year, I highly doubt he puts up anywhere close to the numbers he did, so again, not a good comparison. Mariota is a good comp, but Mariota was a better and more precise passer coming out of college. Watson should not be a day 1 starter if you want him to be a future star.
Ryan Altfillisch its not idiotic. the point is they have a similar skill set and come from spread offenses. like I said, they build who they want and tear down who they want. their evaluations are never consistent. deshawn is a better passer and was more accurate than cam newton coming out of college with more games played. other than height where does cam have deshaun beat coming out of college? at the end of the day you and these "experts" don't know a damn thing. it's all opinion and where they land that will determine how good they can be in the nfl.

Bears won't pick Lattimore, bad health history, bad hamstrings for corners, not after the K. White, and Goldman, too much risk for Pace/Fox in year three.

Not very happy with the John Ross to Cardinals scenario, even with Corey Davis and Mike Williams off the board. We already have JJ Nelson and John Brown as our speed demons, if we get a wide receiver it should be someone that can be a reliable number 2/eventual number 1. I would probably go with Trubisky there and maybe take a receiver like Zay Jones or Juju Smith-Schuester in the second.
Mccaffery should just convert to a wr. I think he would do so much better in the NFL playing WR position.

I know my football well enough. You don't need great arm strength to run a football. Christian McCaffrey has the best receiving skills out of all of the runningbacks. I would want my Cardinals to get Christian McCaffrey. Why? Put McCaffrey at WR while David Johnson runs the ball, then when David Johnson is done with his touches, put David Johnson at WR and put Christian McCaffrey at RB.

McCaffrey is a good RB, but he doesn't fit Carolina's offense. They need a RB who can carry the ball at 20+ per game. I would prefer Jamal Adams or Jonathan Allen if Leonard Fournette is gone. They could grab a RB in the other rounds (Alvin Kamara, D'Onta Foreman, Samaje Perine, Elijah Hood)

Joshua Eden I dont. panthers really want an RB and that would be the 1st candidate to trade down with. stack up on picks, trade back more until they are in prime position to draft Lamp. if anything, the jags need OL more than an RB. plus the draft is deep in talent in RB, te and defensive players.

Deshaun Watson is a great QB, he's a constant winner, he wins big games, good accuracy, and great athleticism. Disrespectful to take him out the 1st round. The NFL just needs to get more views in the offseason, so they choose one of the best players in college and hammer them for drama.💯💯💯

He can play as a receiver when David Johnson is at runningback, and then when David Johnson is done with his touches, David Johnson becomes a receiver and Christian McCaffrey can take over as runningback...I hope the Cardinals can grab him in the 2nd round.

If Panthers go offense (I think they will) it won't be McCaffrey at 8. It's a toss up between Fournette, Howard, or Ross. After losing Ginn, I think they get Ross to put speed on the field. Then the second pick should be the best tight end or trade up for Njoku. They need some receivers that can get open.

Domenico Pagala I believe Fournette is a better fit in the type of offense that Carolina runs, so I wouldn't be surprised if a trade up happens.

Look them up. He has been arrested before while in college and had a couple of other citations. I personally don't think those issues are a big deal and I'm sure all of the teams will do their due diligence on those issues, but they are present.

jonathon poore Uh, no. His issues are not worse than Mixon's. Trust me, I'm a FSU fan that lives in Tallahassee. He was arrested for assault but when it went to trial he was found not guilty after the jury deliberated for only half an hour. There is an actual video that was released of Mixon destroying that girl's face. Cook also had a few other minor citations, like you said, but nothing at all serious. Most of the off field concerns about Cook are because of the people that he hangs around with. He's friends with some thugs and teams are worried about that. He did have some issues early in high school, but that was like seven years ago.

It's not impossible...Bruce Arians and Steven Kiem love fast receives that can torch a defense. So yeah it's possible but I personally would like the Cardinals to grab the best OG in my opinion in the draft which is Dan Feeney.

Jonathon Allen will not fall to 9. if anyone who's ever evaluated football would take lattimore before Allen, even if cb is your #1 need, you should quit right now. completely different tier of players.
If Watson and Trubinski are still on the table to have when the Browns call in the 12th pick - they will not take one of those two QB - then they can wait for their first pick in the Second Round.
If one of the two QB will be draftet in the first round on Position 2-11 - the Browns take the 2nd QB on their 12th pick. Because they still have a strong need on the QB position - and Trubinski and Watson are still contender for starting jobs...
Everyone says that it is a weak QB class - My Meaning is, that this really outstanding defensive class is good for every QB in this class because they know what it means to have pressure on the game - they know what it means to play against hard defensive teams - and therefore the step to the nfl is for this QB class much lower than for other QB in former years who played against much weaker defensive classes.
Look at all the Round 1 QB-pic's in the former years: Goff, Manziel, Bortles, Wentz (instead of his first three games), Lynch... Great hopes but the steps to the nfl were too high or are still too high.
Probably Winston, Bridgewater(??) and Mariota as starters could see their breakout year in 2017... But you must go back to Luck and Newton to find a first round pick QB as a franchise player or nfl star.
So - probably in 2019 - we will think about this QB class and how underrated it was on the draft in April 2017.
