Super display in the light would be perfect
I preorder my super as soon as they announced it. Along with the 6 gig module. I love my crystal.
I've just paid the full price for the Pimax Light few days ago (I had the preorder spot secured) and oh boy, I can't wait to check them out.
The price of that Super is really good, it makes this type of ultra high end accessible.
Even if Bigscreen Beyond cost just $500, it'll still be inaccessable to most human on Earth because it doesn't come with the neccessary part that makes it work 😂
I just bought myself a Pimax5KSuper in 2024.
I got it for $380 😉👌
Lol I still have my 5k plus
@@OverkillSimulationsI still have mine also but it's very blurry looking to today's standards of vr
60g is the rf not throughput speed (60ghz not 60gbps). plus 60g is limited in terms of range (10m) so you wont be walking around the entire house with a wireless link back to the pc
Yes it does sound nice on paper with PIMAX, but for me it is a wait and see how these VR headsets work with watching all the You Tube reviewers. I never buy anything on day one with any product. Pricings are very good.
Again, I shall see how the headsets do when they are released. I am in no hurry for a new VR headset.
Take care.
If it's work as advertissed and no reliable problems, Pimax easily wins the gaming PCVR wars
@@toututu2993 I totally agree - PIMAX develops what the SIM users want and need. By connecting directly to the Display Port of the GFX card, it makes the best for VR quality. take care.
One can only dream.....would also need a new computer.
Super Qled should include 35ppd and 50ppd instead of 57ppd lense. 35ppd is still be amazingly sharp and bigger fov. Only concern is are they still gonna have bloom problem in the dark scene like Crystal
Why would you want 35PPD on Super? It has almost double the resolution of OG Crystal.
So what video card are you going to use to drive this monster?
3DFX Voodoo :)
Isn't it already ?
There is no graphics card that can handle the Crystal Super. I have a 4090 to handle the Crystal and it is struggling badly in Flight simulator 2020 until they unlock the Quad Views Companion app.
I would be concerned about that asi have a 4080 and it runs the Crystal in MSFS at native resolution.
You have something else going on.
CPU limitation or bottleneck?
Now to be clear I get 45fps, DLSS Quality at high or better for most settings in the sim. But again with a 4080...
I definitely wouldn't say I'm struggling with it. My computer specs are in the description if you need to compare.
Let me know if I can help in Discord
@@OverkillSimulations I have the 4090 , i9-13900k both over clocked and I can't run it at max. I run the pimax at 90% and msfs options at high and I get stutters at large airports. I can tell a difference between 90 and 100%. I've tried the dlss but the sharpness is not there.
@@likes2fly are you using OpenXR or steam??
@@OverkillSimulations Aren't you struggling with only 45fps and DLSS on quality? Don't you see the buttons and blurry lettering? Don't you see the jittery images as you move your head due to low fps? The frame rate of a VR headset plays a crucial role in providing users with an immersive and seamless experience, determines the smoothness and fluidity of image rendering in the virtual environment. A higher frame rate is essential for VR users, it directly affects the overall quality of the VR experience. Generally, the minimum requirements for VR simulation are considered 90fps. How do you intend to achieve at least 90fps with a resolution of 3840x3840 per eye of Crystal Super?
To be clear Quad Views Companion also on FS could be a solution to have an immersive and seamless experience.
@@OverkillSimulations I use both. You might be thinking about pimaxXR and yes I tried that but switched to to steam so I could record and the fps were the same. Difference with pimaxXR is I could use foveated rendering but eventually the eye tracking in pimaxXR stopped overlapping each other correctly.
What is the WiFi 6e?
It adds a extra channel that most people don't have for your Wi-Fi at home and it already to the speed that Wi-Fi 6 provided so it's just like another frequency
It's better to buy Quest 3 than to buy this.
Selling it at such a high price without the XR-2 chip is a scam.
Pimax pices are way too high, even the Light is still $200 too expensive. Might as well just get a Quest 3. The rest need additional expensive things like light-stations, controllers, headphones - in addition to being stupidly expensive already!
other then the fact the crystal craps on the q3. I returned my q3 which I thought was great untill I purchased my crystal for double the price of the q3 and the diffrence is well worth 2 q3s for me
Learn to do some research please kid. Because what you said doesn't represent Pimax nor Quest 3
@@toututu2993 I have the Quest 2 and Quest 3. Had the original Oculus Rift CV1 and then the Rift S. Also had the Pimax 4K (utter garbage), followed by the Samsung Odyssey + and then HP Reverb G2 (ditched for Quest 3). Always liked the idea of Pimax wide FOV, but the HORRENDOUS PRICES , glitchy software and need for additional purchases of lighthouses, PLUS controllers AND better headphones were DEALBREAKERS for me. With Pimax, you always need to buy something expensive extra, NEVER a decent all-in-one price, like with Oculus/Meta. I have done my research mate, you can sit down now
I said I got a question I like my quest 3 but I need something that lasts more than 2 hours when I'm playing stuff on my PC and I think Timex with the Crystal Light probably has a good product and you should pay attention
@@gaminginstilllife9429 something up with your setup then bud .. when I used the link cable with q3 I would still have 80% battery after about 5 hours (are you using cheap knockoffs?) . and for playing wirless I used the bobovr s3 headstrap which gave me about the same and had hot swappable battery's
