AE Mom Jean Tip: If you get the “stretch” mom jeans or “stretch curvy” mom jeans, size down! I’ve tried so many sizes & styles of their mom jeans and for all the stretch ones I had to size down one or two sizes.

Just a warning to everyone, deal that seem "too good to be true" often are. This just shows me the AEO hikes up their prices a LOT. However, penny jeans are penny jeans xD
Kells Marie xo I work at AE and we really don’t. Our rewards system is great, every $1 you spend you get 10 points and at 250 points you get $ off your purchase every 5 jeans you get 1 free. It’s “expensive” because it’s quality. Not everything is expensive. If you want rips in your jeans yes they will cost you $50-$60 but we do have jeans that are $39 and we always have jeans in clearance for $19-$29. You just have to shop around and shop online for deals as well.
100% accurate, I’ve noticed their price changes online to make up for deals. Pay attention to the way they increase prices when sales come around, online they’ll jack up the prices of things that are part of deals. Legitimately from day to day so watch out for that.

The reason some things fit smaller than others is because everything at AE is handmade (I work there) so that’s why I suggest trying on each style in stores before buying online :)
I wish xxl was available in stores.
aikanae1 sometimes it is, but the smaller stores sell out of XL & XXL very fast!
@@kadenchilders3327 thx. I've always wondered why stores don't stock more XL and XXL then? It's a fake price hike based on limited supply (like iphones do).
Lol at least when I worked at American Eagle in 2016 nothing was handmade
I’ve worked at AE as a manager for over a year & they have always told me our clothes are handmade, which is why sizing varies. I could definitely be wrong but that’s just what I’ve always known & have been told to tell costumers. Sorry for relaying possible false info!

I’ve been shopping on American Eagle and Aerie online a lot recently, and reading the reviews really helps with figuring out sizing! They’ll tell you if it’s oversized or runs small or whatever else you need to know! Obviously not fail proof because every body is different, but it really is helpful!

Basicleigh ! LITERALLY DID THIS! Took over half my closet to Plato’s and then have been just ordering items from American Eagle. Sales, points and clearance always make it possible 😍😂

The “long” is actually the length of the pant leg not the waist.
Christina Anne I think she meant because if they are longer then she can pull them up higher to make them her usual “high waist” jean. I could be wrong but that’s how I understood it lol
The rise of the jean is also adjusted just as it is in petites.
In my experience there's no difference in the rise between regular and long. I bought their stretch mom jeans and tried them in regular first but wanted to be able to cuff them at the bottom so I reordered them in long. When I compared the two at home the rise hit me in the exact same spot. Not sure if it was just those jeans though because the rise on them is already super high.
Regular and long do very. Vv much 😂 size 12 regular high waisted hit at a diffrent stomach area than my 12 long high waisted

HUGE american eagle tip!! If you're buying something in-store but it's on sale on the website, the store will always give you the sale price if you show them the item's page at check out! It saved me a hundred dollars a few days ago!

AE does a happy birthday discount during your birthday month. I think they have a denim recycling program; $10 off a new pair with any brand turned in that AE uses to shred for insulation. I haven't done that yet. I wanted to see you try their "leggings length" tees and sweats, bike shorts and very cute (imo) joggers - esp cargo joggers.
How did your jeans shrink? Did you wash them in cold water?

You have GOT to try the gap secret smoothing pocket jean line. Literally the most flattering jeans and they smooth you out. Trust me! Try them!

I like American Eagle stuff but the retail store turns me off as a thrift shopper. I would totally buy American Eagle stuff from the thrift store, though! Their floral patterns, their frilly blouses and pretty dresses are super cute and right up my alley but I would never give you what they want for their stuff brand new. I also prefer the uniqueness of not wearing the same "this season" stuff as others... Like running into people wearing the same jacket or sweater etc... Other people probably don't even care but I feel like someone is commenting "Oh that's a __________ sweater" (insert store name). I don't like that... Yet I'm happy to wear PINK branded stuff with no issue.. Guess I'm the one with the issues LOL Heather xo

also get the artist flares in a regular!! the longs look too long and the knee holes are past your knees. if u get the regulars they will fit perfect. also for future reference the long is 2 inches longer than the regular, then the x long is 2 inches longer than the long, and so on
I love their mom jeans!! Do you not like your sweaters to be oversized? I feel like if a style is meant to be oversized then getting a size smaller defeats the purpose, but do you!! I think the sweater looks great 😊
I’m gonna to try American Eagle because I really need pants ( it’s so hard for me to find pants, either too big or too tight) I am about 12-14 in size and I like looser fitting jeans. Any recommendations?
I bought Good American jeans and you have to wash them on cold and lay them flat to dry. They are very expensive though. It took me a long time to decide to pull the trigger and buy mine.

You should always order the “super hi-rise” or “highest rise”. The regular hi-rise are not high enough even for me and I’m 5’4.
