Laser beams travel at light speed, so it is impossible to evade a laser bullet, especially during air combat. Laser guns have no tangible recoil, and their ammunition is limited only by their energy source's power. A single shot from a laser gun costs 99 cents, so even a half-billion-dollar installation is not much.

Laser beam can be reflected by some objects? If it is so, there will be chance of self destruction. Also say for example: If a fighter jet target a moving object, but miss target and will destroy much more civilians than a bomb cause it will just take milliseconds to destroy large area. One bullet will kill one but beam can just kill hundreds unwarranted/error kiling. i am not sure but just questions come to my mind seeing too much of its Power.

@@Snowwie88 Yes, of course it is. water vapor will refract and scatter light. When you're talking about firing through 100 miles of fog, it's going to change the energy density of the laser considerably by the time it gets to a target.
That and the power source. Quark fusion is a theoretical power source at this point. Fusion reactors have been 20 years away since the 1950's It was only recently that it was even possible to get more energy out of a fusion reactor than was needed to contain and run the reaction. Quark fusion hasn't even be achieved in the real world yet. Even if someone, somehow built a functional quark reactor tomorrow, it would be 20 to 50 years away until it became a practical energy source.
