"Wet your finger before putting cut paste"! So that's why the damn thing sticks to my finger all this while!!🤣 The one thing I really appreciate about your videos, are the small little tips & trick! Love it!
I really love ficus trees Sir, cause you can do indoors or outdoors and the leaves they're shiny I love them so much, I have a few of them in progress soon I will make bonsai of them and thanks for the video Sir, it's really beautiful ficus collection.
I just stumbled on your videos. They are fantastic! The technique and tools you explain are super helpful. I have a question though. You say that you need a vision, a plan, before even starting to trim this bonsai. I have heard that before too. Are you referring to plans on how to match mathematical equations of what people find as aesthetically pleasing, or do you actually see each branch in your head and how you will shape it? I have a hard time seeing through the leaves sometimes and I have an idea, but that idea changes as I go.
Thank you.... 🙏 😔 🙏 You lost me for a moment, but it all came together with the wiring. A "tremendous" job, Dave. I hope you are not too tired. What is the cut paste that you are using? Is it possible to make your own cut paste? 🙏 🖖 🙏
@David Easterbrook thank you for this great video! I recently got this lovely ficus benjamina "office" tree and I can't decide what to do with it. Do you have any advice? Is there any way to thicken the trunk in zone 6 (East Europe)? I want it way shorter but the trunk isn't thick enough. Also it's two seperate trees in the pot, which haven't fused together properly yet. So far I have repotted it, because the rootball was heavily infested with a large pill bug colony. I replaced the nursery peat soil with a good draining organic/inorganic mix. The tree responded well and I allready see new sets of leaves. If I decide to cut the tree shorter, how much can I cut away? Should I leave some branches with leaves and then wait until the trunk backbuds? PS! I posted this question with pictures under your facebook post too. Please give advice?!
Big changes to a big tree!
Hope you get your book sign😉

How is the taste of cut paste. Avoid consuming keep a small cup of water by you.Take care
How did a tree like this get to Canada?
Lovley video
Simply bonsailicious. Beware your 'bonsai ectopic' in your ECG.
Đẹp qúa chú ơi
Looked better before branch pruning….
In bonsai the immediate outcome is not the goal. When I discarded some branches I was thinking about what the tree would look like in 10 years :)
Sorry, it looks like a stump, not a bonsai.
