I loved Mr. Majestyk & Freaky Deaky! My favorite Styx, Come Sail Away & Too Much Time on My Hands!

Although I've read some of Elmore's crime novels (Mr. Majestik, Run Punch etc,) I've never really been into them. But his early western stories he wrote while working at an ad firm in Detroit are flat out phenomenal!

Cool, Hombre will be my first ever Elmore Leonard book. I never dove too deep into mystery or crime novels and I didn’t know he wrote westerns before your past few videos on him. I love westerns though and have read about twenty-something Louis L’amour’s. I love his guy kills the bad guy and gets the girl ending every time. Sometimes I need that. I also never watched the movie and I’m looking forward to this one and the big bounce I also just bought. I look forward to a great ending. A great ending is what sticks in your head and is always something special. I’ve read over a dozen Stephen King books and although they hook you right in for the ride I feel like the endings never pay off. You can do a whole video on great and poor endings. About my favorite ending to a series ever is the first law books by Joe Abercrombie. I’d like to recommend another book that has a great ending that has always stuck with me, The Siege by Arturo Perez-Reverte, a Spanish author who’s had a dozen books translated and published in English. There’s a six book Captain Alatriste series that they made into a movie with Viggo Mortensen as the captain. It’s hard to find on dvd but it’s great, epic settings and costumes and rapier sword fights. The books were great they’re like a grittier more violent and realistic three musketeers type deal. Ok, cool, thanks and enjoy 👍🏻

    Another great book.
I got this one on my tbr. Just finished Leonards "The Law at Rondado" it was also excellent. Looking forward to reading more of his westerns.

We need the True Grit review. Also another book if you've never read Night Film, one of the most unique mystery thrillers out there

Elmore Leonard; I gotta know bro. 3:10 to Yuma 1957 with Glenn Ford & Van Heflin or the remake with Christian Bale & Russell Crowe?

Any recommendations for a western book or series from the Native American viewpoint?
