How Clara trivializes Honkai Star Rail

- The follow up to the video I made showing off Clara obliterating Gepard a few weeks ago. Explaining how Clara works, how the team comp I use works, and what to look out for in Simulated Universe when using her. I hope people can get some use out of this video and can find an appreciation for Clara the same way I have! Let me know if there are other characters you want me to cover. If this performs well, I may try to actually do UA-cam content consistently again for the first time in years.

Gotta love it when an enemy 'leader' unit designates Clara as the target when they're low health, basically committing suicide by self-taunting onto her.
Clara was my first 5 star and never left my team afterwards, I love the mage type enemies that ban a specific move because free counter
also targeting a child
@@bruh-bn3ni Targeting the child in the group is the basic "easiest target first" tactic. In turn, Svarog is the embodiment of the "lemme grab my shotgun" angry dad trope. Fun for the whole family. 😊
Another thing about March's shield is that the character that is being shielded have higher chance of being attacked when the character have 30% or more HP
That actually explain why everytime I put a shield on a character they always attack that character soon after (it's not like I don't read the descriptions, but I was so excited to play the game that I forgot to read how the characters work XD)
I actually found a trick with this! I put the Relic Set that causes enemies to have an 80% chance of targeting the wearer(forgot what it was called), and March’s first move defending herself, Enemies NEVER target anyone else unless I forget the shield sometimes.
@@sabrinadelco9396? I couldn't find a Relic set with such properties, only two cones: 5★ Moment of Victory and 4★ Landau's Choice. And neither of these says 80%, only "increases chance of being attacked" or smth like that
@@Romashka_Sov apologies, you’re correct. I got Landaus choice mixed with the Knights of Purity Palace set. The set makes shields absorb more damage, which I was thinking is what Landau’s Choice did
he didn't say it explicitly, but he makes alusion to that fact when he said clara ult+march shield makes it like clara has almost a perfect taunt

Fun thing you missed about Clara. When you use her ultimate, it also makes it so that her follow-up attack triggers even if she isn't the one being attacked.
Also, I use her in my teamcomp and I place her right next to fire Trailblazer. That way, you can use the trailblazer taunt and depending on the enemies you face, Clara will recieve some AOE damage from them even if they're taunted. Which in turn will trigger her counter. Fun stuff!
Later enemies have AoE attacks?
Holy crap-ioli
@@baimhakani sureee does. Makes Clara OP that you even get damage opportunities like that. Clara is arguably the best counter as well for enemies 1 use shields. Once they attack her, she clears the shield buff with a counter attack and then your other allies does damage before it decides to shield itself again next turn. You never have to worry about wasting a turn popping an enemies shield. They pop it themselves the same turn they make it. :D
@@baimhakani Early enemies have aoe attacks, too. The legion you fight at the very beginning has a spinning blade attack that cleaves.
The best thing about Clara is definitely that she wants two free units, and the 4th basically just needs to not die to cleave.
Hey, did you know that characters shielded by March 7th actually pull aggro? This means that if you use both of them together, Svarog is probably gonna be attacking after every enemy attack.

Clara carried me through the whole story so happy I got her even though I wanted Welt.
Exactly the same for me lol. Welt has that Zhongli calm and smart personality xd
Reasons Clara stayed as my friend support character even after pulling Seele:
This, basically
(also I have her at E1 and with the light cone specially tailored for her that heals her when she gets hit)
Mee too I also have her E1 plus her very own lightcone even after pulling seele
I was kind of bummed out when I first got Clara at the 50 pity banner because I really wanted Welt at least and then after that built a team around Seele, that didn't happen; instead I got Clara and using her up to this day I can wholeheartedly say I do not regret getting her at all. She is absolutely broken and has carried me without even doing proper offensive damage because all Svarog does is counter and evaporates the enemies.
Welt was one of the first characters I drew lol
He goes absolutely ham when he’s useful but goddamn he’s next to useless sometimes
Path of elation is so much more broken than this video makes it seem, There is a one star card That makes you heal on follow up attack, that on top of ultimates counting as follow-up attacks and follow up a tax increasing energy regen, Clara basically becomes immortal, I remember my whole team being dead except Clara against the final boss of the room, she couldn't even shield break carried for like 6 turns before killing the guy through his sheild
I don't know why im still replying to this 11 months old comment but i just want to mention that blessing that gives you a skill point every time you do a follow-up attack (enhanced)

NGL Pairing Clara And Topaz Can Make Enemies Dealing Follow-Up Attacks From A Nightmare To Living Hell

having jing yuan + clara on my team and doing an elation path goes crazyyyyyyyyy.
She's gonna be so good if a boss that out speeds you or slows you every time and just beats the shit out of you ever comes in the game
Stumble across your SU world 3 video, and by chance checking your newest video (this). Great explanation on Clara's kit and whole gameplay of her with Elation path. As a Clara main myself, she's carrying me even on World 5 and World 6 because like what you've explained here, when she got hit, enemy got mark on top of them, increasing clara's skill damage even more making her skill also viable on single target.
Ngl at first I thought I got unlucky cuz I got her as my first 5-star instead of supports because my previous mindset from other turn-based game prioritizing supports characters over damage-dealers. But after trying her more in combat, she's the most fun character I've played with her own mechanic. It's like adding more turns like you've just said, similiar with Seele's Kit
I'm interested in maining Qingque but I already got Seele, in the end you said you want to explain Qingque so I'm waiting for your next video man. Subscribed!!!
Someday I dream of a healer/defensive support that has a true taunt ability to give to Clara. While her ultimate and technique are reliable, I find that simply March’s barrier alone is often not enough taunt power and my Tingyun ends up getting absolutely demolished instead 😭😭😭
You probably already know but...
the fact you keep the music in the background :D
This is the exact team that cleared world 6 for me
I know this is from before he was available, but Luocha automatically heals using his Skill's effects when someone goes below half HP and removes status ailments, which goes BEFORE Follow-ups, so Clara can be frozen, cured, and still do her Follow-up.
I like the Destruction Path with Clara. If you choose the HP to Shield buff for the ultimate, you’re just constantly burning half HP into extra destruction ult damage and still not dying.
Clara is simply Illyasvel calling Berserker
Literally first thing I thought while playing the game for the first time
She trivializes the game... until there's a turn requirement lmfao.
I have an E3 Clara, and turn requirements are impossible to do most of the time.

I just started the game 2 days ago, and just got clara today. Nice to know the gimmicks of her so i can build her to the best of my ability
I just found your channel and I will say, I would love to see more videos like this. himeko and quantum characters specifically

Gepard: Hehe, Quake go brrrrr
What elaborate setup lmao she’s literally just a tank haha
Lol, i got clara on my free roll and basically did the same as you, its cool to see others come up with the same strat
I’ve never been more glad I got Clara as the 5 star on the beginner gacha
Clara + bronya = "It's never not our turn"
I recently got back into HSR after a brief break. Because of this, I was behind on the meta and new content, meaning I was getting absolutely schooled by the newer enemies in the Xianzhou Loufu. However, I was beyond hyped to see new SU content. While using Seele and The Hunt to breeze through Difficulty III content, I had an idea. Clara + The Hunt = big damage? At which point I threw her on a team with Welt, Natasha, and Preservation Protag and DEMOLISHED Gepard. All that to say, I absolutely adore Clara, her kit, and the big mecha papa who protects best daughter
I have never seen anymore talk about c1 Clara. It’s really good. I got it at like trailblazer 25 and it’s definitely helped with all my fights.
She was my first 5 star and i couldn't have been happier. Shes just too fucking good
I love being able to play different ways like this when Genshin was just doing tons of damage in seconds and tanks and healers had no purpose. I have built the Ultimate Clara team: Jing Yuan, Tingyun E2, March 7th E6, and Clara. No need for a healer even in abyss because March 7th E6 heal combined with Clara signature weapon.
I like how everyone just disregards Herta having insane follow-ups especially towards frozen enemies when Mizuki (March) has LITERALLY 50% base chance to freeze with her free ults and Herta has her ult buffed versus frozen enemies, while himeko also has follow-ups and Herta's universe becomes Clara shields, himeko buffs, march shields, herta attacks and then... play Wildfire and sit back just like Himeko with whichever you have in your cup, oh and
also, Mizuki won't need herself being shielded as long as she has the C2-ish (don't remember) buff to put shield on herself too, WHILE ALSO removing debuffs from the targeted skill on her Traces
quite a show, eh
Now: HuoHuo, March, Topaz and Clara is the team comp for now.
And here I am waiting for her to shout either "BERSERKER!!!" or "QUINTETT FEUEEEERRRR!"
if 1.1 drops, silver wolf would be an amazing addition to the team comp just because of her adding weaknesses, which supports a wholelot for weakness breaking enemies especially if they don't have a physical weakness
Wdym if….
@@dragonx23123 my bad, i meant when
I'd like to mention Elation and the one for shields both have a lot of healing, not to mention the three rooms with heal pots along the way, so Sim Universe doesn't need a dedicated healer if you want to swap that role with Herta, who's Follow-Ups to Himeko's to any Fire, Ice or Physical Breaks is devastating, almost to the point that Clara doesn't get touched outside boss-type enemies.
I will say, I have them only 50, and lack anything major besides good half-leveled Relics, but, considering I went into Sim Universe wanting 65 and had no issues with this, is a very good sign.
In normal content, time between battles could be used to heal up at save points or with items (that I have so much of since I never use them), so a healer is even less valuable when you got Clara tanking and March 7th helping further the shielding.
Screwllum was leaked to becoming a new character with having a talent that lets him do a follow up attack whenever someone else does a follow up attack...
WhO'S TOUchInG tHe chiLD
E6 March (Who is then also a Healer) paired with Herta and Himeko to Clara is the ultimate Follow-Up Team. You COULD go for Topaz & Numby somewhere in here, but that's trading Shields & Heals for extra DPS, I guess.
I gotten Clara on the normal banner a few days ago
And she’s pretty good still working on her
Clara makes everything so easy in the game. I love it
For su I usually run yanqing 4th becausw he the extra attack that his talent do count as follow-up and with elation buff that buff ult his dmg get cracked.

Clara + March 7th.
That has been my team comp with Natasha and another dpser (Jing Yuan at the moment). Cause she takes everything off everyone. Simulated universe is just so easy with Clara.
She was my first nat 5, from the beginner banner, and I am SO happy.
FINALLY! SOMEBODY ELSE WHO SEES THE PURE POTENTIAL OF CLARA!
I never knew jing yuan’s lightning lord was actually a follow up. All elation buffs apply to thunder lord meaning you could make him cracked as hell. Plus with Clara I would presume you would be making perpetual killing machine.
Oh yes indeed. My general team is Clara, Loucha, Jing Yuan, and Seele. They absolutely shred SU with Elation buffs.
I only do Solo clara runs in Simulated Universe because Clara is so fun to use.
Just as a small tip you should put march to Clara’s side because she is a tank and with that higher base Aggro so that even if m7 is attack by splash damage you get the counter and reverse m7 can take more then himiko (and of course put Clara to the far left or right)
Clara was my first 5 star and shes rarely left my party since. My most used team is Clara, Himeko, and some combination of Herta, Natasha, and March depending on what I'm doing. If it's mobbing, usually Herta and March and larger targets usually have March and Natasha. If may take a while for me to kill larger enemies, but they shre as hell arent going to kill me first
at first i wanted bronya and himeko from standard banner but I got 2 clara's instead. So i decided to build her and this was the best decision i could have made in the game. She carried me so hard through everything it's not even funny. I was also "lucky" (depending on view) to get her sig light cone. That makes her even more crazy (extra heal and dmg). She's a beast.
Plus if you save up the currency from getting 4/5 stars for long enough, you can just buy her fantastic signature light cone that outstrips every other option for her by a longshot.
i love clara bc her kit is so…. simple
So simple yet stupidly effective
kinda wish savorg was its own playable character
Funny how Clara always finds her way out and back into my team to save it from some scary boss or dungeon. I once left clara at level 40 and later on she came back to aid me in stomping SU world 6 at level 70 with her 5 star lc.
she also works well with the nihility buff in simulated, she pulls agro while sampo or serval stack debuffs, not to mention it buffs her bleed debuff when she breaks an enemy
I really love using clara, unless I'm doing specific MoC floors where the damage incoming is absurdly high she is pretty much always slotted into my team as the tank! The one thing about her that can be slightly infuriating is moreso to the enemies you can encounter - ones like Decaying Shadow (9 Gauge Recollection stacks enemy) and the Automaton Grizzly because they don't do a lot of attacks to proc her. Instead they often do charge up attacks and hit every other term it seems and it doesn't make her feel very good in those situations. Other than that I'm 100% Tasukete Basaka!!!
Its like Sampo nihility comp which makes enemies die when its their turn. Anyways my favorite comps so far is Destruction + *insert random dps unit name here* solo or Hunt + Seele & Bronya with 3* Rememberance card that makes enemies freeze to death when taking hit 5-6 times
Ah yes, putting Himeko in the middle of Destruction and Preservation Cbaracters nothing goes wrong
So two more things for anyone playing 1.3 or after: first, the rarity 2 elation buff 12 monkeys is giga broken on her, because it increases the damage of a followup attack each time it's used without a cap, so clara stacks it incredibly fast. Secondly, both Lynx and Luoacha pair really well with her. Luocha is just a very strong support, plus his healing aura means that any damage clara takes it instantly healed, and Lynx adds survivability, damage and a stored cleanse on top of giving clara ANOTHER taunt
Cool good to know that getting clara as my first 5 star is that good
With Loucha’s heals and mechanics he is the perfect partner for Clara because when Louchas healing field is up it heals all allies when they attack the enemy. Perfect for Clara and Seele who can attack more then one time per round. Throw in Silver wolf for debuffs and u have a great team 👌
Team:
Clara - tank and follow up attack
Loucha - Enemy cleanse and good healing
Seele - Damage
Silver Wolf - Debuffs
(This team is VERY skill point efficient)
1:02 easiest form of follow up attacks FOR NOW
Kafka 1.2 baby wooooo
Well this video just made a believer out of me. Time to build up my E1 Clara.
To think I was upset that I got her twice instead of other 5stars
just to mention, every counterattack, counts as follow up aka praise the elation path
I've been using the team of Clara, March, Natasha, TIngyun. I like Tingyun here to keep charging up Clara's ultimate. This was the team I brought into Memory of Chaos and it helped me clear the first 2 levels at Trailblaze 50. Clara and Seele each have their own respective teams which I use for that mode, and those 2 are the only characters I have above level 60.
Won't Tingyun steal all the aggro from Clara?
Jokes aside, yeah, that is a good way to make sure Svarog will slap the living aeons out if your enemies
I'm still glad she's my first 5*
It amazes me how good the standard characters are in this game compared to Genshin. They are so good I wouldn't even be mad if I lost 50/50 to most of them
I have 3 way of playing clara.
1) Standard Clara-March. You focus on clara's usual counter. This is probably the easiest team to build. You can supplement this with a healer and a buff/debuff/sub dps. Reliable team, and very hard to lose as long as your healer is still alive.
2) Ult Based Clara-Tingyun. This Clara focuses more on her ult. She doesn't really care whether it is her or the team that gets attacked as the ult will make clara counter attack either of them. This team actually needs a healer, mainly for the team not clara. You can use a debuffer or an independent sub dps to break. This is my main team. My comp is Clara-Tingyun-Natasha-Silver Wolf. The idea is simple. You ult with clara then ult with Tingyun to recover half of clara's ult energy. Rinse and repeat. Heal the team when needed.
3) Active type Clara-Bronya. The Idea is actually kinda similar to Ult Based Clara. Though I don't really recommend it as it don't have as much damage. But it's a nice change of pace. In this team, you use clara for her skill. Basically turning her into semi erudition. Playing clara in a usual dps way is not really optimal, but if you really want to do it this way, or like i said, a chang of pace, this is the combination you need.
Despite obvious combo of Clara-March, I would argue that Clara-Tingyun is actually better. Because March shield is kinda too much actually and she doesn't provide anything else (low dmg and her ult is counterintuitive to clara). While tingyun not only buff clara and increases the frequency of clara ult, Tingyun is actually a decent subdps. Also it's better to have a guaranteed higher damage counter than a normal counter that relies on RNG
Himeko: dies
HI3 vets: trauma
I'm not at the endgame content yet so take my experience with a grain of salt, but I've gotten enough use with either March or Natasha supporting Clara, not necessarily both (usually March, but Natasha is better for enemies with AoE attacks). I have used both occasionally, but I have defensive equipment on Clara so she's filling more of a tank role than a damage role for me. That way, I have two party slots to use instead of just one. With all that said, I definitely do see the advantage of leaning more into her counters as a source of damage because of how easy it is to activate, so I will be keeping this video in mind when I eventually get to more challenging battles.
My current setup is Clara, Natasha, Silver Wolf and Sushang. would recommend trying it out especially if you have Clara's signature light cone.
Since Luocha is in the game now its even harder for enemies to kill Clara since Luocha has a passive that heals your ally if they deal dmg,an auto heal if an ally is at Low hp,and an ult that removes buffs on enemies so they wont get dmg buffs...
Other people avoids attacking enemies that counters. Meanwhile me and my clara 😈
The best part about clara is that if you have her cone like I do, you literally only need 1 way to keep her from dying and even then it's not gonna come up very often in terms of you saving her. She's such a *solid* unit conceptually, I essentially use her as an off tank with %hp legs instead of %atk
recently used clara for the first time as a support doing calyxes and holy shit she wasnt geared well but she was not broken she was SHATTERED w skill at fighting
I used preservation trailblazer and Clara. It wasn’t the most useful Clara, but any splash damage would trigger Svarog. That’s insanely good. I run Geppie, preservation trailblazer, Clara, and Bailu. It’s absurd and half the time Bailu isn’t needed. So it’s easily replaceable with March. (It’s an auto battle team that easily clears world 6)
big fan of my clara team, i was getting so tired of having sweat over every little thing in genshin it feels good to be able to sit back and auto a bit
I’m running the Clara-March-Natasha comp and my god March and Clara are a god duo.
For the fourth slot with silver wolf coming out soon I’ll use her in that team for the debuffs
Clara was my first 5 star and she carries in every battle. My main team is Clara, Bronya, Gepard, and Luocha. Even with overpowered enemies, no one ever dies, and Clara obliterates with her follow-up
My team for Simulated universe is normally
Clara
M7
Tingyun
Bailu
Tingyun is sometimes swapped with Dan Heng or Hook depending if i need wind or pyro
I Love getting the destruction 3* with her where she just gets buffed atk and def by being attacked. CLara can work with almost any path very well
Clara was my first 5 star i ever got and I have never been happier lol.
i just got clara's light cone and i feel like i should build her now
It's so funny that you can actually clear simulated universe stages by using only clara because of both her damage and status effect res, specially with her signature lc.
She's been my main since launch and I normally use her as DPS, along with Gepard (although I'm pretty sure March 7th is better because she makes her get even more aggro but gepard usually performs better for auto battle), a damage buffer (usually Tingyun or Bronya) and Bailu (because with a single heal I think she heals less than Natasha, but Clara's lc gives her hp when tanking attacks), I have her at level 90 with the lightcone at lvl 90 as well, all artifacts max level and the counter attack at like level 5 or so, she easily deals 30k+ to a group of enemies (around 17k for single target).
i go march, clara, gepard, natasha, i dont die.
My team is great. Clara and Jing Yuan are broken together.. Natasha to heal, Bronya to buff (sometimes replaced by March, depending on weaknesses and level of enemy), Jing Yuan and Clara. It was so hard to pull for Jing Yuan since I really want Luocha but Jing Yuan is also really good so I don’t regret it.
Got Clara day 1, and I instantly knew she was busted. Too many battles have been won where it’s just her and March left alive.
So good. And just works in nearly every instance
Luocha combined with Clara straight up turns the game into easy mode, because even if on the off chance she does get one of the 3 trapping debuffs, luocha dispels debuffs at E0. Along with his auto heal below half health as a follow up and his heal field? It becomes a bit of a joke.
Edit : thought I'd mention luocha's dispel is base kit. He starts with it immediately from what I remember
Clara is amazing.
if you read the fine text with march she counters if anyone has a shield. so i had a no u team of gepard, march, clara and natasha
I pulled her yesterday randomly out of the Standard Banner. She's not even fully build yet and she already taking names like no other characters I have o...o
Clara's Playstyle is a violation of common sense
You wouldn't want to provoke enemies into attacking a small child but here its viable
Player: Slap her and get 100k jade
Svarog: Slap her and I'll counter you to Jesus
Also
Enemy: Finally, my turn.
Svarog: I believe you meant, "Our turn".
