  • Welcome to The Onyx Report's Daily Black Masculinist News, where we Black Male Justice Advocates uplift Black men and boys using critical analysis in today's video, "The Unheard Flipside of the Deadbeat Dad Story."
The Onyx Report is a program that critically analyzes the experiences, histories, and perceptions pertaining to Black males in American society across age, class, religion, sexuality, and occupation. I am your host, Dr. T. Hasan Johnson, Associate Professor of Africana Studies at Fresno State, Black Male Studies scholar, and Black Male Justice Advocate. In the program, we examine current events and major issues using an empirically-driven Black masculinist theoretical lens, thus including such concepts as the Black male dual economy, anti-Black misandry, phallicism, the subordinate male-target hypothesis, the subculture of violence theory, and the Black Gynarchy).
Our goal is to remind people-including Black men themselves-of Black male humanity. Join us every Wednesday at 5pm (pst), unless otherwise stated, on UA-cam, Facebook, and on every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays on www.InnerLightRadio.com.

As a former Police Officer, I never believed the woman when I arrived to an alleged Domestic Violence call. Having seen how women in my own family would act towards men, I knew that with patience and letting the woman talk while I'm assessing the scene, that the woman would give me all that I need in time to take her to jail. From Experience, I can tell you that on at least 5X, A woman has told me that she was unaware that Domestic Violence laws apply to women too! They actually thought they can just hit a man and get away with it. I lost a male family member to Domestic Violence when his wife hit him the face with a gun repeatedly until it went off and shot him in the face. All because he didn't to stay with her anymore because she was attacking him physically. As an Officer on a call, women would admit to hitting the man, prevent him from leaving the home, and when he had reached his limit and hit or push her in self defense... she would call the Police to have him removed from the home. When I would talk to both parties, I would find they both came from single mother households, and suffered some form of abuse or verbal neglect from their mothers. The family court system along with societal law has had some serious ramifications on the so called Black Community. Add to the fact that the Democrat Party has made so called Black women gatekeepers of so called Black men, it's no wonder why so called Black men have a hard time in America or life in general.

@@thescepterofjudah12 Thank you for this reply. A friend of mine didn't like the way his wife was talking to him. I told him to get out of there. They had an argument, she called the cops, and he died in police custody. He didn't threaten her or put his hands on her, but he's still dead.

@@OneEyedLion That is horrible, and it’s one of the many reasons why I left being a Police Officer. I found out my Cousin died by reading the Investigation summaries from all the major crimes in the city. My cousin didn’t call the Police, because he felt he wasn’t doing anything wrong, and it still cost him his life. So when Black women tell me how hard it is in this country, I laugh at them, because Black men have it worse.

@@leobramlett5118 An arrest is only part of the issue, a woman can go directly to family court and get a restraining order WITHOUT a police report or prove. In my case, I thought quickly and told the officers to watch the security footage at my job. I was not arrested but she was charged with beach of peace. She then went to court and filed for a restraining order. If the person has children, the court usually grant one. It can hurt a person's employment! I spent 2 years dealing with that issue. His influence as a single Dad was monumental, I only really lived with him for about 6 years. The time living with my Mother was raggedy AF, I'm 57 and she's still tumbling out of control. Often we're pushing strollers & carrying babies and openly showing affection to our children very often.

The state, with the private sectors e.g., those who practice family law; auxiliary agents, social workers, and psychologists, take children away from fathers with taxpayer incentives.
For over 35 years I've been denied freedom of association and contact with all of my family members, including my son and granddaughters. Why? Because the mother has the backing of society and the millions of dollars from her family members for support notwithstanding. Where's the Constitution when you need it? Hahaha.
That no one sees the direct relationship between those who are well-educated doing anything for money and societal problems is beyond me. Think of what's happening with the Supreme Court? Where's the justice?
