  • Welcome to The Onyx Report's Daily Black Masculinist News, where we Black Male Justice Advocates uplift Black men and boys using critical analysis in today's video, "Dehumanizing Black Men No Longer Goes Ignored (Finally!)"
The Onyx Report is a program that critically analyzes the experiences, histories, and perceptions pertaining to Black males in American society across age, class, religion, sexuality, and occupation. I am your host, Dr. T. Hasan Johnson, Associate Professor of Africana Studies at Fresno State, Black Male Studies scholar, and Black Male Justice Advocate. In the program, we examine current events and major issues using an empirically-driven Black masculinist theoretical lens, thus including such concepts as the Black male dual economy, anti-Black misandry, phallicism, the subordinate male-target hypothesis, the subculture of violence theory, and the Black Gynarchy).
Our goal is to remind people-including Black men themselves-of Black male humanity. Join us every Wednesday at 5pm (pst), unless otherwise stated, on UA-cam, Facebook, and on every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays on www.InnerLightRadio.com.

Even in her second video since getting fired there is still zero accountability. She had a great job helping all of her clients for "3, 4, 5 years" but because of her desire to fan the flames of anti-black misandry for clicks and likes, she thought she'd be safe making an extremely unprofessional video ridiculing the specifically black male clients she had. I don't even think I've ever seen any therapist make a video ridiculing their clients. But now that she's felt the backlash, notice how ambiguous her statements are. Now she was just "telling people to go to therapy"? Where's that same energy from the first video? Smh. Her firing was well deserved and it's good that a lot of us are waking up and no longer taking the disrespect

I taught a Ph.D. level course on cultural issues in therapy and counseling. The course required me to cover all the -isms. The class was predominately white, and female. When I got to "sexism" I stated that men could also be victims of sexism. The level of out-directed-rage was astonishing! I literally was called into the Chair's office to speak about how I created "an unsafe environment" by simply offering an alternate AND truthfully inclusive conceptualization of an actual experience. Nope.
I told the Chair that I no longer felt safe in the class. I also told them that I could not ethically endorse (I taught ethics too) ANY of them becoming clinicians because their anti-male bias was too extreme. I encouraged them to get help. They never took accountability and staged a silent protest and was awkward for the rest of the semester.

Thank you Dr. Johnson. I thought my dad was so mean as a child. He was spot on with his assessment of women. I have seen generations of southern women passive aggressively attack and shame men into doing what the women want without thinking of long term consequences of the action. The women waited until my dad was in his 90's to boss him around. He takes it because he needs them. He was the Lion King for generations. I saw the same things in my sister's, aunt's, cousins. I could not put my finger on what it was but I did not like it. I did not want to date or marry anybody with those negative traits. My ex wife had then anyway. Choose a therapist very wisely if you need one. The programming runs deep. I fight the programming to become a better person. I fight the programming to help others. This was powerful. These case studies that happen daily provide the framework for an awakening in black men that is refreshing to see. Thanks again.

Says people were going after her for clicks but she was burying her clients and other men for clicks herself. She’s so detached from reality.

The hatred for black men by black women is astonishing. Particularly since its due primarily to our awakening. Feminist and 🏳️‍🌈 women are finding it hard to hide their disdain any longer because they are feeling the loss of what was their supposed advantage in taking our place, and that was the lack of our response to our denial of the basic recognition as humans.
At work recently, I spoke to a female coworker with a common good morning as we both were in the break room. She spoke back with such anger in her voice that I couldn’t help but chuckle in acknowledgement of their L’s. And this is everywhere. On another occasion I was on vacation with my family and were laughing and have a great time on the airport train, this one sister was killing me with her eyes as if to say, “I dare you be a happy engaged father”.

As a psychologist, this therapist is sadly typical for the profession. Not every therapist is like this but too many of them think they are above their clients and call their talking down to them “honesty or love.” She does not even understand how or why she was wrong. Yet, when confronted by her firing she assumes SIGN language, especially her need to be right. It is upsetting.
Black psychologists, therapists, social workers, etc., take note. This type of behavior and perception about Black men is reason enough for them NOT to go to counseling.

When all else fail you can always go to the time tested statement (Blame All BM)....A few days ago a statement made on a BM podcast stating men cheat more than women and need to do better. I find his statement highly debatable, that is not what I have seen in my life. What I have seen is a majority of women sleeping with a minority of men known as the 80/20 rule. In which 80% of women are sleeping with 20% of the men within their communities. Many women will ignore a guy who is seeking a committed relationship with one woman. However, they will readily sleep with and have children with the 20% of men who don't want an exclusive relationship and have a history of having multiple babies with multiple women. One of the biggest lies ever told is that most men cheat within a relationship. I don't consider the 20% of men running through 80% of the women the majority of men. This 20% is the minority of men that 80% of the women willingly pick, leading to an epidemic of single parenthood.. Even if these 20% of men were to finally marry one of their babies' mothers, there would still be 60% of single women trying to raise their disadvantaged children. There is an old saying when the cat's away the mice will play. Just as the 20% is messing with multiple women, the 80% of women are messing with multiple men. I feel that the way they want it, neither are willing to put in the dedication, time and effort necessary to foster a healthy relationship. They don't care that children born from their union will be handicapped at birth. There is a crisis within the cesspool we call the black community and it will not get better until the 80% of women start to do better. In fact I believe most BM are more loyal within a relationship and later the institution of marriage than most women.
