Oh jeez, another fun technique to explore😀
LOL! I hope you do!
Love this week’s activity. I love playing with a Gelli Plate. I’m so impressed that your right sleeve isn’t full of paint.😮😊
LOL! Even as I watched it back I wondered how I didn't put my arm in there like a hundred times!
I love the element of surprise with Gelli prints. You got some great botanical prints. I agree. It’s hard to stop once you get going on them. Thanks for the video. 🙌🏻
Thanks Celine! Yes, that element of surprise is the BEST! Thanks for watching today.
That’s what I like about the gelliplate too. And it is indeed very addictive. I haven’t played with mine for a while because I was busy with other craft projects.
Didn’t know a gelli plate is that much fun 😮😍
It truly is!
Annette, wow, these prints are beautiful. I have never heard of Gelli prints.....how lovely and endless possibilities. Thanks for introducing me to a new craft technique!
Oh Marie, it's SO fun and rewarding to play around with the gelli plate. I hope you give it a try some day.
Super fun project! Love how the final cards turned out with the addition of the shiny gold accents!❤
Thanks so much Pam! 😊
What a fun way to play around.
It truly is!
These backgrounds are fun. I think they would be fun to die cut.
Thanks Jodie. I agree! I just die-cut one of that darker ones I wasn't terribly fond of and now I love it!
I love playing with the Gelli plates. Thank you Annette, I’m going to pull them out again and be creative! Using the metallic paints gives them such a dramatic effect. I must look for the corner spacer or order it from your link, I love it!
I hope you DO! It's something I tend to forget about until I play with it, then I love it all over again.
Thank you for this Annette! All my years of crafting, I never knew about Gelli art. I'm anxious to give it a try. ❤❤❤
I hope you do give it a try! It's super fun, clearly, and a great way to experiment and learn.
Oh my Annette loved loved loved this video.Thankyou so much for sharing the process.❤
Wonderful Marie! Thank YOU! So happy you enjoyed it.
So clever! I love playing with a gelli plate but never remember to get it out. I will now! These are so pretty and love all of the texture!!!
Thanks Lisa! I am already itching to do some more gelli printing. There are LOADS of videos on different techniques I want to try!
Well that was a total joy to watch!! I’ve had my gelli plate on my desk for a couple weeks - might have to schedule some play time
Dana, that's wonderful to hear. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I do hope you make some time to play with it. I never regret it when I do!
Love the prints!!! Would very much like to see the final product: how you turn the prints in beautiful cards.
Thanks! If you scroll to the end, around 52 minutes, you will see me assemble them into the cards.
Thank you!!!! I love them. I guess you are using cardstock for both printing and gluing on top?Beautiful!!!!!
I like the die cuts you use with the gel plate.
Thanks! I linked to all of them in the description. Many of them are my own designs from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
Thank you.
Love these, Annette.
Thanks so much!
First time using a gelli plate a few months ago and you reminded me to get back to it. So much fun especially since I have so many Elizabeth Craft dies to use. Thanks for the great idea. Your prints are great!
I got started when a friend introduced me to Elizabeth St. Hilaire, an artist who uses gelli prints for paper collage. I hope you'll check her out on UA-cam. She's also a fantastic artist and I predict you will love her prints.
Thanks so much Rebecca. I have checked her out and love watching her videos! Thanks.
What a great video 🇬🇧
Thanks so much Susan! Glad you enjoyed it.
I love gelli printing and it’s so so addicting! Now you’ve got me wanting to do some prints and I love the idea of using the flower and fern die cuts for the designs and those scrolls too. A while back I did some prints using alcohol ink and the lift reinker with stencils and that’s pretty cool because they’re transparent since no paint is used. I love the gelli plate and thanks for these cool ideas of using the ECD die cuts and stencils. Love your prints!
Thanks Belinda! I have yet to try alcohol inks, but have seen the results and they're amazing. Will have to try that next.
I don't have a gelling plate... may have to start with a small one. Loved how much fun you had!😊
Yes, a small one is perfect for starting out. I hope you give it a try. Thanks!
Glad I found you. New to this form of art and loving it. 🙂
Happy to have you here! It's such a fun way to play and experiment with paint and layers. Every print is different and a little surprising each time.
These are beautiful! I haven't really played with my gelli plates and you have inspired me to get it out and play! :)
Thanks so much! I hope you do, and have FUN!
Awesome prints!! Can't wait to try this!😊
Thanks Becky! I hope you do! Have fun with it, and thanks for watching.
Love this video Annette!
That's so great to hear, Tamara! Thanks.
Thanx so much. I ordered my Gelli plate . Looking forward to using it soon.
Hope you like it! It's addictive fun!
Love it! ☺♥
Wonderful, thanks!
I need to pull out my gelli plate now:)
I hope you do! I have neglected mine for so long and now I'm happy I pulled it out again and played!
Wow they look so cool. Must have ago again. Did some a year or so and was not good. You given me inspiration to try again . The cards look great. 😊❤
Thanks so much Jane. I really think it's the light to dark thing that really helps make the prints most successful. I used to just slap paint down and go, but now I know how the layers work best. I hope you DO give it another go. Enjoy!
Did someone already say that you CAN pull off the yummy outlines that dry… that you keep cleaning off, saying it dried and you won’t be able to get that up? You just put down another layer of paint (a heavy body paint is often best), put your paper on immediately and press and smooth. THEN let it dry before pulling. Everything will come up, leaving a clean plate and all the cool bits on your print. Great video, loved all your experiments and results, thanks!
Thank you for this comment. Yes, I have been learning a lot after doing this video and watching others regarding that very thing. I was thrilled to discover just what you described! Now I know I can get a really great print after the paint has dried on the plate. An ongoing learning process for me. Thanks again!
Aloha New Sub, just discovered gelli plate a few months ago and it has become one of my favorite things. I experiment with all the things geli print related. TFS 🤙❤
Hi and welcome! So great to have you here. I could gelli print all day every day if life didn't get in the way. It's so much fun. I find myself looking at things around the house and out in nature differently now, like "what kind of a print would this make?" Thanks for checking out this video.
Yup same here always looking for things to put on the geli plate. @@AnnetteGreen
Okay, I have got to know where you got your frame that helps position your prints for a perfect border. It is wonderful and so helpful when doing multi layer prints! It must be more shallow than the gelli plate (at least the side closest to the plate). I loved this video! Thanks for your help! 😊
You're exactly right, Beth. It's shallow at that point. I've linked to this frame thingy in the description of this video. You can either get one directly from them using my link, or perhaps you can find it in your local scrapbook store. Thanks for watching! So happy you enjoyed it!
@@AnnetteGreen Thank you. Missed it somehow when I checked your links. Slightly scared off by the price, so I think I might try to DIY it. I have three gelli plates now, so looking forward to playing with them after I move. Thanks again. It was a great video! 😊
Yes, the link I supplied includes another gelli plate. I'm not sure if the frame is sold separately. Sounds like that's all you need since you have several plates already.

Loved watching this video process, What would you suggest for the inside? I get stuck for ideas sometimes. Thanks Annette
Thanks Bettie. I would probably use some of the prints I wasn't as fond of for the inside, and add a white layer over it, just a bit smaller. That way, you have the same "feel" of the art, but mostly just a touch. Leaving more room for your message.
Awesome! I saw the die cuts on IG but couldn’t find them on your website. Can you tell me where you get them? TIA ❤
Thanks so much! If you go up into the description under this video, I've provided all the links of the dies I used. They are from Elizabeth Craft Designs. If you use my links, you get 10% off your entire order!
Oh! Of course. Thank you, Annette ❤@@AnnetteGreen
I’ve never seen those geli plate frame before.
It may be pretty new, I'm not sure. But super handy!
