The inflatable portion actually goes inside the lid then you blow it up .the cover is easier to deal with when you have the inflatable liner inside it ...
I noticed, too. The inflatable top should be inside a cover, then inflated. And where is the white washer that needs to seal one of the side connections?

There is a black piece that attaches to the air fill hose. It looks like a venturi type device that I assume is for deflating the tub when that is necessary. Is that indeed what that piece is for?

Love it kust posted an update video. I have been in it every night since sunday. It lowers to about 97-99 after running the bubbles for like 30-45 minutes. But goes back up with 2 hours after the bubbles are off. It steel feels great at 97 though. If you can put floor mats like what i listed in the description under it. We mostly use it in the winter. We work outdoors so in summer it's to warm to get in when you've been out in the heat all day. We added some upgrades so it can stay outside al year round. That is a drain plug but the fabric around it is very weak and will tear. We recommend draining it with a hoe just siphoning it, will a shop vac to get it flowing. Good luck and thanks for watching. If I connect the tub to a smart plug, and turn the plug on remotely, will the tub start heating or do I need to hit buttons on the control by hand to actually start heating?

It has a temperature button on the pump. You just have to turn it to 104 f and it will heat up on its own in about a day and a half. Unless you fill it from the sink with hot water. Then sooner. That means water restriction, basically the water in the pump is freezing or the filter is clogged. Check the clear hoses between the pump and the tub are they bent or kinked if so you have to find out a way to unkink them. That is why we added the upgrades we did. Yes we eventually did,lol. Took us a while. Its nice for storage when in the cuzzi. But i like it better for removal of the cover when separated, but the cover got diety lying on the ground. I wish you unpacked the box and checked contents first to avoid the confusion regarding the lid parts and adjustment of the cover. In the assembly or set-up of anything, there is a good reason that manufacturers instruct buyers to check the contents. The rest of the video was not clear because connections were blocked from view. Opinion stated as fact is very misleading (the part where the lid was placed on the spa floor as a "seat cushion" and a gap was explained to allow room for the filter.)

Black T Pipe is for deflating the tub to store away, lol, dont put chemicals in that. Liquid chems - just add straight to water and turn on bubbles
The white thing you mentioned that was a bottom cushion is actually to insert in the top. It's not a cushion.
