THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, Eric!! Wow! I stumbled across your site after spending an hour looking up other videos/sites to get my new Coleman hot tub together; totally useless videos/sites, along with useless written directions enclosed with hot tub. Eric, are just amazing!! I had put together a hot tub coupla years ago with pitiful written directions ; but it had diagrams on the hot tub itself. This Coleman had absolutely nothing. I swear I was getting ready to return it until I came across your site. can’t thank you enough. I’m now a subscriber. you are excellent!!
Thank you so much for this video I’m trying to set this up now it’s 4:45 in the morning by myself and I’m usually good at things like this. But this one has me stumped.. this terrific booklet thank you again !!!
Thank you. You're a great teacher. WEOe have the 4 person spa that worked great for about 2 years but then we kept getting the EO2 error code. For a while it disappeared when we just changed the filter. But, then it wouldn't go away and the pump would not pump water. We changed the filter, put in a new impeller, and ran the garden hose water through the lines and the EO2 code comes on and it stops altogether ( and makes a lot of noise until is stops). Any recommendations for further troubleshooting? What's going on and what should we do next?
Thanks for sharing this. Official printed instruction and videos are so terrible that it took me a lot of time and tinkering to get it right. And I never knew what this inflatable square was for, until today.
Thanks for the wonderful video. In my case, the hot tub doesn’t have a roof. Is it safe for the heater/air inflation unit to be in an area where rain is sometime possible. What can I do to protect it. Can I cover it with a water proof cover?
Thank you so much for creating this. Following your video is the first time I put something like this together without extreme frustration and your guidance was very appreciated. I do have one question in that the version I purchased is the Hawaii, but not hydrojet so it only has 3 connections. All good there, but it had a black plastic coupling that I just don't know what I was supposed to do with. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Great video...We're trying to figure out what the top gray item is, above the waterline...It looks like it has air vents, and in hotel jacuzzis, I thought it was for overfill draining, but for this spa, that makes no sense. We thought the air bubbles would be coming from the heater/air unit, but maybe that is for air intake? The manual doesn't say or talk about that item at all. Would love a response if anyone knows what that is/is for. And if it needs removal or cleaning since it was already on the spa out of the box.
Hi great video. We just got this same spa. But the hydro jets are not working. You can hear it trying to suck air in, but nothing comes out. The air jet around bottom work just fine. We don’t know what to do
Hydrojets don't need air, they take in water and blow it back out. Is the water filled to the fill line? Make sure all the fittings from the pump to the tub are night and snug. Also make sure all of the intakes, especially the big rectangle one inside the tub are unobstructed
I this this hot tub but I can't get it to inflate I follow all the directions. ..Can you tell me what I am doing wrong. I flhave followed all the Videos instructions. .HELP..
Just unpacked our spa and the tubes coming out are bent, do you think that will be a problem 😢 we opened inside so the room temps could help but still bent. Have been watching your videos they are great, thank you so much!!
Thanks for so much for your help. Please be aware that if you forget to attach the connection for the air connection, it can lose inflation despite the fact that it's a one way valve. I forgot to put that on and it did lose quite a bit of air until I realized that I had forgotten to do that.
Hey Eric! Awesome videos, thank you! Question for you, I purchased the SaluSpa Santorini, it’s pretty much the same as yours, with the HydroJets, but it’s a round tub. Any thoughts on the square vs circle shape? And do you find the jets on the Hawaii better than the Laguna? My hubby needs good massaging jets for his back--are the Hawaii jets adequate, in your opinion? Thank you so much for your helpful videos!
Square is definitely preferred. Easier to get into a corner where the water jets are and just relax. Also the water jets can be aimed and offer a decent back massage. Much better than the airjets
Hi. Help! Know this is older video, but I have this one and can't remove jets to clean them. Water spray suggested by another on You tube didn't work. Vinegar didn't work. Any ideas? Thank you much!
The hole with capon the floor is for what? Emptying it or something I’m assuming that not to fill with air because I don’t see how with the jet holes that would work. Also, my version is called the same name “Hawaii” but no massage jets?
We just got the Hawaii, it does not have the jets??? It has the same size pump as the Laguna. Which broke on us after 2 months. So we returned it and got the Hawaii.
Hello! I think I'm looking at this particular model on Amazon but it doesn't seen to have the water jet feature. Am I looking at the wrong model? Thanks!
HI! Great video! We love our BESTWAY SaluSpa Hawaii HydroJet Pro Inflatable Hot Tub Spa! It is time to drain and clean and refill the spa or us! The directions to drain are horrible!! Have you drained yours yet? Is there a problem solved video for help with this? I would love to see it! :)
I'm looking at the same one, it will be my 3rd inflatable hottub. How far does the pump unit extend from the tub? Maybe a foot or 2? I'm looking at putting mine in an 8x8 shed.
From the tub to the front of the pump there's a out a 6 - 8" inch gap then the pump itself is pretty big. I would say from the tub to the back of the pump is about 18 - 20". You can see it s little better at the end of this video ua-cam.com/video/_09QmB17ePc/v-deo.html
Your videos have been very helpful and ultimately helped me decide on buying the Saluspa Hawaii with the water jets which I've had for about a week (and love so far). However, because of my failing to secure the cap in the cover, it lost it's air. I watched your video about needing the pump for exactly this purpose and attempted to follow your instructions, placing the caps on the inside of the spa after removing the filter and the chemical container and even put the large rubber cover back over the plastic screen. When I disconnected to pump to use it to re-inflate the cover, I still lost a lot of water. I'm sure I'll need to do this again so can you please tell me what I did wrong that still allowed water to drain? Thanks!
It sounds like you did everything right. It's a little harder with the Hawaii because it has the large grill on the inside that needs to be covered as well. You may need to put some rubber washers on the inside of your caps so they make a good seal as well. I didn't have to do this with my smaller spa, but with the Hawaii, I do.
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric Again, thanks. I've also noticed that the cover seems to loose a little air over time. Have you discovered a way to add air without using the pump? I still can't figure a way to disconnect it from the tub without water loss. Jim
@@PacNWJames1 easiest way to add air to the cover is with a separate pump. We use one that we use for pool toys and it works fine. You're right though, the cover tends to lose a little air over time.

@@ProblemSolvedwithEric ua-cam.com/video/rp82u_do2SI/v-deo.html in the video it is shown at 1:18. the pumps for all hydrojet models are the same so it should work
The hydrojets and bubbles are designed not to work together. If you go to the video link that was posted here, they updated in the comments that it does not work. He meant the heater and the bubbles.
Thanks for the video. I have an Intex Purespa that is about 3 years old. I'm tempted to replace it with the Costco Saluspa Laguna and found your videos when doing research on it. Well done! I'm curious as to why you have have replaced the Laguna with the Hawaii. Was it the bigger size or the jets? Also, now that you used it, how do you find those extra jets in the Hawaii?
The water jets are amazing, much better massage than just the bubbles. The larger size and more features were the main reasons we decided to upgrade. The Hawaii is significantly bigger.
Thanks. With just 2 of us I'm thinking I could get away with the Laguna, which is smaller than my Intex Purespa. My main concern is the cost to run the spa. Here in San Diego I typically pay between $50-100 (or more) to run the Intex each month. But I did just buy the Intex energy efficient cover that goes over the entire spa and have noticed that it's using less energy now, maybe 30% less (but it's a pain to take on an off each time and it rips easily). The Laguna claims to use 40% less energy that a typical inflatable spa, but the removable cover only fits over the top. So I'm guessing the extra protection is because the sides have better insulation, as they don't have ridges. Does it seem that way to you? Your new Hawaii doesn't claim to be energy efficient or appear to have this extra protection on the sides, so I'd be curious as to your experiences with how much more you will be paying to operate it.
@@mikedaluz6207 the Laguna has really good side insulation so I would agree with those advertised numbers. I haven't had the Hawaii plugged in long enough to tell, but I'll keep you posted
Very informative video! My first question is, can I place this hot tub on a wooden deck? Or is it best to be placed on the ground? My wife wants a similar hot tub which is being sold on QVC today. “Hawaii by Bestway 4-6 Person Inflatable Hot Tub”. Thank you!
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric Thank you! How can I determine whether my deck can hold a 1500LB or heavier item like a hot tub? Is there a professional that I can hire to inspect the weight bearing load of my wood deck?
@@JAZZSPOT55 generally the builder of the deck will have taken all of this into consideration during the planning and building of the deck. The size of the footings and whether or not there are joists all factor into this. If this information isn't available then it's time to start taking pictures of the footings and underside of the deck and bringing those to your local hardware store. Knowing the type of wood, footing sizes and design should give you enough information to do some math and get the total weight the deck can hold
I have an extremely important question for you I hope you can get back to me in a timely, you know where the chemconnect goes on the spa right? Do you have any water pressure coming out of that? I have zero water pressure coming out of that. I'm hoping I don't have a lemon and the pumps failing.
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric no it's not... I'm going to attempt to take apart to see why the pump isn't pushing water. Also my floor has a big air bubble in the liner. Does yours?
I'm trying to add air to my tub that is 3/4 inflated and empty. its 4 degrees celsuis. the e-3 error code keep beeping. where is the temp sensor. Can I fill the tub, then inflate?
Another question! :) Do you think it would be effective to build an enclosure for the pump to decrease the noise? Or is most of the noise from the jets/bubbles it creates?
The pump with the jets on can be a little noisy. It doesn't bother me too much, but you can probably build an enclosure to reduce it a little, just make sure there is still some ventilation
I turn the heater off completely during the hotter months, ut keep the filtration on unless I'm going to be away for awhile or not using it for an extended period of time
I would say they are all required. You can get away with just bromine or chlorine for a very short period of time. But you're gonna want balanced water so it doesn't cause skin irritation, or other issues with your pump
E05 is generally an issue with the temp sensor inside the pump. You can open up your pump and attempt to clean it if you're comfortable doing that. If it's still under warranty you can do a warranty claim
I just ordered one off Amazon. It showed it had water jets on the pictures and I just opened it and it does NOT come with water jets. I will probably return it.

Thank you very much for the info! 😊
Link to the reclining seats you mentioned? BTW - Great video
PLEASE link
I have an extremely important question for you I hope you can get back to me in a timely, you know where the chemconnect goes on the spa right? Do you have any water pressure coming out of that? I have zero water pressure coming out of that. I'm hoping I don't have a lemon and the pumps failing.
Most of the time the pressure coming out of that isn't that much. You should feel a little pressure. Does your spa heat up? If it does, it's working
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric no it's not... I'm going to attempt to take apart to see why the pump isn't pushing water. Also my floor has a big air bubble in the liner. Does yours?

Is water supposed to leak out of the port where the air blows out
I'm trying to add air to my tub that is 3/4 inflated and empty. its 4 degrees celsuis. the e-3 error code keep beeping. where is the temp sensor. Can I fill the tub, then inflate?
My sister bought the Hawaii model, but it only has 3 pipes protruding from the pump.
There's a standard Hawaiian and a Hawaii game Hydrojety
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric thanks!!! One step closer to getting it set up!!
Another question! :) Do you think it would be effective to build an enclosure for the pump to decrease the noise? Or is most of the noise from the jets/bubbles it creates?
The pump with the jets on can be a little noisy. It doesn't bother me too much, but you can probably build an enclosure to reduce it a little, just make sure there is still some ventilation
what is the thing to the right of the filter? the rectangular device that had the big black cap on it.
@@travissmith8143 intake for the water jets
Cant put hot water in it?
Love it ty looking for another hottube
Can I use my swimming pool chemicals in this or do I have to have the spa chlorine
Swimming pool chemicals will work fine. Just make sure to do the math on the amounts that's should be used
I ordered a bestway Hawaii saluspa thinking it was this one but my pump only has 3 ports?
There are two versions of the Hawaii the regular one and the hydrojet pro
My unit came without the cover ? where can I get that part... I can't find it nowhere...
What is the bag full of black pieces for it comes with?
Inflation and deflation accessories
Am I able to still inflate it at different times?
Yes
Anyone figured out how to blue tooth the remote cell phone app to the Salispa Hawaii?
Mine is the pump model before that one, so I'm not sure how to do that
Do you leave the filter and heat on all the time or do you shut them off?
I turn the heater off completely during the hotter months, ut keep the filtration on unless I'm going to be away for awhile or not using it for an extended period of time
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric I got my hot tub up to 104 but the heater button stays red. It doesn’t go green. Have you see anything like that before?
@@ngu484 that's likely because that's the max heat setting. Try putting it at 102 or 103 and should go green
Hey got same one honolulu tub what is black for tub
curious if the motor dies can it be replaced?
Yes, it can
Do you recommend using an inflatable spa all winter long?
I used mine all winter last year and plan to do the same this year. Definitely recommended
Any special precautions to keep equipment from freezing?
@@anthonyburton8807 so as long as the filteration is on, the pump has an antifreezing mechanism. It works pretty well
I’m not sure about the antifreeze mechanism.

Can anyone help me?? I have black film like particles coming out of my Cabo Saluspa filter.
My air jets do not work😢 any tips?
Do they not come on at all? Is there any noise coming from the pump?
Can you run the bubbles at the same time as the hydro jets?
You cannot, they have to be run separately
Can you use it all year
Absolutely
How long is the power cord that it comes with?
It's about 10ft
Question is there a generator that I can use to run this Spa
Yes, as long as it puts out a steady 120v of power, it should be fine on a generator
Eric my saluspa looses air any idea why short of a puncture.
Rub it down with some soapy water and see if you can find where it's bubbling up
Link to the pillow that goes inside the hot tub
what chemicals are 100% needed besides the filters and water tabs
I would say they are all required. You can get away with just bromine or chlorine for a very short period of time. But you're gonna want balanced water so it doesn't cause skin irritation, or other issues with your pump
Got an error code E05 on the hot tub. I couldn't shut off with power button so I unplugged it....help please!
E05 is generally an issue with the temp sensor inside the pump. You can open up your pump and attempt to clean it if you're comfortable doing that. If it's still under warranty you can do a warranty claim
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric thank you!
Can I use hot water to fill up the spa?
You can, but I wouldn't use boiling water
I just ordered one off Amazon. It showed it had water jets on the pictures and I just opened it and it does NOT come with water jets. I will probably return it.
There two different versions of the Hawaii, one of them has water jets and the other does not
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric I understand. We looked at the pictures and it showed the water jets. Sucks. I can’t find this one. Do you have a link to it? The one you have under the video doesn’t work.
It’s out of stock I guess
If out of regular chemicals can a splash of Clorox be added?
I wouldn't recommend this, no
Where can we get the chairs

Can you tell me gpa the filter circulates.
Are you trying to figure out how often you have to run the filtration to keep the water clean?
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric No.I just installed the saluspa santorini and the flow on filter speed is just a trickle. It’s super hot here in Florida so not running the heat. Thanks so much for your video it was such a great help.Tom

What happened to the first hot tub?
A friend said they wanted to buy it and we were looking for something bigger. So we sold the old one and got this one
These hot tubs are garbage.
I'm sorry you feel that way. We have been thoroughly enjoying ours
Can you use the jets and the bubbles at the same time?
My model doesn't allow for that. That being said the more current version (called something else) has this ability
