Great video and perfect timing for me.
My 9° Stealth 2+ face cracked. I only swing at 103mph and I got the Qi10 core as a replacement and couldn’t hit it at all. It came out low or with high spin when angled up. It felt like trying to hit a 6° driver. I played two rounds with it and my longest drive on arccos was my normal average (270y).
I went to a TM fitting day and they fitted me into a Qi10 LS 10.5° turned down. I got this in a demo club and managed to Ave 270y with about 5 drives over well 300 with the wind helping.
Just got to get the shop to swap the 4 day old core for a LS now. Wish me luck.

Enjoyed this one at 100-105 CH speed! Forgiveness using this same swing would be great. Would like to see a different video of him narrowing down the choices and what tweaks are needed to get him longer and more accurate. Good one Ian!
Good to see the 100mph bracket. My experience is that Paradym had a different gear last year and again this year. Feels like it jumps off the face. It was a bit more offline than Qi10 but still playable for the smooth swinging Scotsman!
I swing as hard as I can and rarely get over 105 and guy looks like he's barely moving and gets 105.
There's probably just some inefficiencies in your swing. If don't have access to a launch monitor, a good clue is if your 7i - 5i don't have proper yardage gaps (all go within a few yards of each other). I had a kid, couldn't play golf for awhile and ended up with the same problem. After working on my swing for a few months I found my speed again, hoping you can do the same!

Please try this with the 100mph swing and the Callaway TD with the Proxima shaft. It would be longer and straighter than the current shaft and people with slower swing speeds need that extra yardage without giving up dispersion.

I'm having great results with my Triple Diamond 8° at 95 mph SS. Perfect flight and low spin. Misses aren't any worse than any other driver but good ones are significantly longer. Actually a pretty forgiving driver.

I would love to see a follow-up video of how he generates 100+ mph, he appears to swing very easy. Is it soft arms and wrists for a quick release at the bottom? Or something else?? Very inspiration to see such easy clubbed speed, but also frustrating as I am stuck in the low 90s clubhead.

callaway was way better fit for him............close that face up and shaft fitting he is 300 wouldnt take much couple of clicks............distance was huge gap
I like to see swing speed 80 to 90 and which brand would come out on top.
This was fun to watch, though at one point it got really Scottish and I almost had to turn on the subtitles.

Any reason you can think that he consistently swung the callaway faster? I don’t think it was intentional, Aerodynamic or CG??
I swing between Ronnie's speed and Scottie's speed - circa 95mph. I don't need forgiveness (hitting 68%) of fairways but I do need distance. I'm currently optimised for my swing speed with my 9* G410 Plus, with carry at 230 - 240 and total (depending on conditions) at around 255. I want the hottest driver face I can get for my speed, and was thinking it would be the PXG or Cobra. Dispersion aside, with which driver did Scottie get the greatest average carry distance?

Wow. I want what he's having for dinner. That is enough gun, with either club make, to take on just about anyone in a match and win. Provided, of course, that his iron and wedge play is as good as his driving skills. Impressive.
There's hope for me yet. LOL
Of course, he's probably 20 years younger than I am, so there is a bit of a hurdle I have to jump over, even if I go on his diet.
I wish I was swinging those numbers. I play a mavrik and with my slow 83mph I carry 220-235 when I catch it straight
More realistic testing results I can relate to...though I'm not carrying that far. 😂

I would faint if I saw those kind of numbers with my Paradym. I'm swinging 95ish and carry 230 on good drives. Great review set. Love to see this.
That's not quite full potential out of your swing speed, but it isn't far off. You should probably be getting another 5-10 yards of carry assuming ~257 is your theoretical max yardage. Hit the gym and build up your club speed another 5-8 mph and you should be crushing it 280 like this guy 🤣
@@chrisgilligan4968 thanks! Exactly what I have been doing. Trying to build up some more muscle mass and also doing speed training. I feel like I should be able to get at least to the mid 140s on a regular basis.
Are you launching your driver 14-18 degrees with 2000-2500 spin?
@@JasonSmith-gy2mr launch is right in the window. Spin varies as my face contact isn't consistently great. I can rarely get a smash greater than about 1.43 so that's definitely holding me back.
@@TedInoue The shaft will/can affect your contact location. If you find the right frequency shaft, your strike location will improve. The shaft I use was not my first choice. It feels like a telephone pole BUT my strike location, Spin and launch numbers are very consistent. If I switch to a shaft that feels better, I don’t have the same consistency.

Whys the LM set on 3 wood for the taylor made? surely this will effect the distances no?
Curious as to why the Tsr3 wasn't included as it still feels like one of the best if not the one to beat, has it fallen that far behind that's it not worthy of inclusion?
Great test. Can you tell us what the average launch angle and average spin rate was for the 2 final drivers? I ask bc I’d like to know for comparison when I go to the bay or shop/fitter for comparison to my 100mph sessions. Thanks!
Lol, this was filmed about 4 or 5 weeks ago so no I don’t remember the spin numbers. You can follow each shot though and get a good sense of it.

I agree with you. I would like to know how to set up Trackman and QC properly when I use them. I was fitted for a driver on a Trackman with 103mph avg swing speed, avg 248 carry, with 2400 spin. Went to hit balls Monday on different Trackman and couldn't carry 230yd or get below 3000 spin.
He's launching it 16-17 degrees with low 2,000s spin which is very close to optimal for max distance.

Great bracket! I would love to see a comparison between some of the LS and forgiving models of 2024 versus some of the pinnacle drivers starting in 2017 like the Taylormade M1 and Callaway Epic Max , Cobra Speedzone etc, freaky freaky Mavriky, which won the bracket a few years back and see how they stack up against todays drivers for distance AND dispersion! It’s easy to compare the best of 2024, however some of the older drivers the numbers at similar clubhead speeds have produced equal or greater numbers which makes a lot of people guess… For the huge prices were paying is there really any distance gains in the last seven years? This would be more than interesting!
I wish brands would make a 12 degree low spin head version. I need the launch of the 12 degree, but don’t always need the spin I get with the “standard” models.

Those are my swing speeds and I got fitted into that setup with Callaway TD head and Ventus TR blue. It was above and beyond better than anything else I hit. And it translates to the course perfectly. And it’s more forgiving than anything I’ve hit.
What is lower spin Ai Smoke Triple Diamond (wt fwd and back) or TSR3? Im thinking TD wt fwd is lowest, and wt back is similar to tsr3, but I don't know.

I'm a TaylorMade fanboy but hats off to the Callaway, that thing is a rocket and his spin window with it was definitely better

That's a pretty thick accent. I have to concentrate like crazy to follow the conversation. Pretty good swings though until he started to get a bit tired and started leaving balls out to the right. Good to hear that the Rocket is coming back in for the 85'ish speed.
Great tests. If nothing else we can see that these ls drivers can work/benefit players of all swing speeds thanks to variable thickness faces.
