If they could power the Golden Throne with the sheer valor of the Imperial Guard, the warp rift in the Imperial Palace would permanently be sealed and the Emperor would not only be healed but return a thousand times more powerful than he was during the Great Crusade - all in the course of a nanosecond.
The Warp is powered by emotion and belief of sapient minds in the material realm. When the Eldar Empire of old fell into degeneracy, they accidentally created Slaanesh. Just think about what hundreds of trillions if not *quadrillions* of human beings who live and die praising the Emperor has done to His psychic consciousness in the Warp in the 10,000 years since He was entombed upon the Golden Throne. Food for thought. :D

Flak armor is tough AND cheap enough any modern army would invade you to get it (Seriously, stopping rifle bullets like it were nothing is astounding in terms of defensive power, especially for something that's commonly compared in price and quality to a t-shirt). Guardsmen compare favourably in training and veterancy with any modern army (They regularly fight races and armies that are literally born to fight, and come out victorious despite lesser numbers in many instances, not to mention the fact most guardsmen are in the army until death, since many regiments have no such thing as a formal retirement program). Their officers have 10,000 years of traditions and a book of tactics so large and exhaustive it'd make any modern field manual look like a child's make-believe toy (When your Big Book of War has to be condensed into 800 pages "pocket manuals" and is considered a sacred relic...). Guardsmen have fanatical morale that'd make the most suicidally-devoted terrorist fighter look like an unmotivated coward in comparison (This actually applies to the entirety of the Imperium: They're incredibly fanatical by any modern standard; No army in history has casually used children as conscript bullet sponges without being desperate, whilst it's basically routine official policy in the Imperium. Most badass one at :50 - "Well let's see them fight ALL OF US!" - Imagine that dude just watched a bunch of his mates die to some Khorne Berzerkers and his first thought is that the entire squad should jump them this time and things will be different. So awesome and funny..
Though the unit is voiced by Scott McNeil (whom I know as Beast Wars: Transformers' Dinobot, Rattrap, Waspinator, and Silverbolt), he sure has some Jim Cummings-esque notes (am hearing some Tigger and Pete for some reason) with a little bit of Halo's Chips Dubbo. Fave lines are 1:44, 2:44, and 3:20.
These voicelines are one of the reasons why the Imperial Guard are my favourite DoW faction so far (haven't played as the Necrons, Dark Eldar or Sisters of Battle yet).
Sisters of Battle is nice too their commander, Cannoness, is good for ranged or combat. Their "Faith" is so good for turning the tides of war, The "Missionary" has one of the best abilities on the SoB faction, I forgot the name of the ability but he has ability to improve the squad firing damage thing because he makes the weapons of the squad fire a holy light, he has a other ability that reflects the damage to their own enemy ( for example, I attacked your squad using a Space Marine Squad and you activated that ability and what will happen is it will reflect to my squad, ya get it?) and lastly (I think) the regeneration ability. It's good for keeping a close combat squad alive for a longer time. There are many more interesting things on SoB, so try it hehe.

guardsmen are sent to said planet and ends up attacking the local guard regiment.
2:00
Another reminder that bolter bullet leave a smell to blood, burn meat and the Necrons banned word
Because it explodes your insides
Don’t forget Chaos version is mostly demon possessed or warp powered it’s much much worse than Loyalist Astartes version
"Chaos... what do we do sir?"
"Go to the pub?"
[Awkward silence]
"Err... I mean, shoot the f*** out of them! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!"
I dropped a tear at their honour. The imperium have the best quotes.
Still play this more than Dow 2 does my little heart good to see so many people obsessing in the comments still. Btw mad doc dialogue trumps all
This brings back memories, mass guardsmen either t1 with made launch cheese or fast t2 with commissar and mass plasma.
1:22 starship troopers anyone ?
Present and accounted for, sir
10/10 Awesome voice

Guardsman 1: Panicing
Guardsman 2: Watches a baneblade come crashing through the lines
Guardsman 1: Riding ontop of the baneblade
2:00? I always wonder what he says there.
"Space Marines! Ugh... this will be ugly"
Hank88
Thanks mate :)
*****
spicy marines! *
Hank88 Spess mehreens
there are so many I only ever hear like 5 of them
I love that voice SO MUCH!
My favorites!
Greenskins!!... Thought I smelled something!
I love the music
very inspirational
I now hear these when playing Steel Legion
Most badass one at :50 - "Well let's see them fight ALL OF US!" - Imagine that dude just watched a bunch of his mates die to some Khorne Berzerkers and his first thought is that the entire squad should jump them this time and things will be different. So awesome and funny..
"Well let's see 'em fight all of us!" My favorite one!
Sir , Yes SIRR!
"Orks." *spits*
:D
Oh throne...it's an army of Merricks.
I can live with this.
1:15 for the bloody tanks.
I miss this enthusiasm from DoW2 guardmen and space marine.
The Guardsmen are adorable. They all deserve big hugs from their SoB waifus.
"Those are Eldar? I thought they be taller." even though the Eldar are literally twice their height in game.
I'm somewhat surprised someone hasn't made an Xcom voicepack out of this
There has ;)
These voicelines are one of the reasons why the Imperial Guard are my favourite DoW faction so far (haven't played as the Necrons, Dark Eldar or Sisters of Battle yet).
is
Sisters of Battle is nice too their commander, Cannoness, is good for ranged or combat.
There are many more interesting things on SoB, so try it hehe.
you will be disappointed with Necrons, then.
The way how he reacted to chaos on the 2nd line .......... I feel like his a veteran already
Snipin's a good job mate!
ON MY MARK! CHAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!
"...Dont misunderstand me I'm sure Sarge would have managed to kill that thing with nothing but his las-pistol and his standard issue adamantium bollocks, but it would have been so cool the universe would have probably imploded by the sheer badassery of such a deed..."
