So many of you have asked this question...... How to apply makeup if I have hooded eyes?
A hooded eye, simply put is when you have a heavier brow bone and a deep set crease. With wrongly applied makeup, your eyes can appear even smaller, so I'm going to teach you how to apply eyeshadow for this eye shape, where to place it, along with tips on eyeliner, mascara and brows to give you the illusion of a larger and more open eye.
I've published a previous film on makeup for hooded eyes that I've linked below for even more info and tips. • Makeup for hooded eyes

    Owner of hooded eyes here!
That was an excellent tutorial Caroline, and I love all your insights into colours being too warm, too cool etc.
These are all little bonuses and nuggets of helpful tips and tricks to your faithful followers 😘

As soon as you listed waterproof mascara as a required item, I immediately said, "Ooh, she knows what she's talking about!" And I was right -- this is one of the few, maybe ONLY, hooded eye tutorials that I was able to follow and achieve on my eyes, let alone on the very first try and on BOTH eyes! Bless you for having experience with clients of Asian descent. Btw, I have 2 added tips: 1. For my nearly "invisible" teeny-tiny lower lashes, I dabbed a flat/straight eyeliner brush onto my mascara wand to pick up a very light coating of product and applied it to my lower lashes. Then I kinda "stamped" it to give illusion of lashes if none were there. 2. I used Milani's Soft & Sultry palette to get both the basic and the enhanced looks you showed in the tutorial. Thank you so much! Love you!!!

1st time watching your channel.....I do have hooded eyes & I'm not very good at doing eye makeup...... everything else comes so natural to me! I really appreciate you showing how to do my eyes the simplest way & with natural colors......I'm not a flashy gal....just a mom of 4 who wants to look my best for my children's sports events & school events & I pray your advice is simple enough for someone as eye makeup challenged as I am will be able to execute! Again thank you & God Bless

I've watched this about 10 times now, thank you for the tips. Also, thank you for being your natural self, I used to watch so many tutorials but now I only ever believe what you say, I now only make a purchase from your recommendations because I can see exactly how it will look. I'm 47 and my skin is completely different than when I was younger, my eyes have disappeared, and this has really helped me. Thank You x

Judging by the number of appreciative comments here there are so many of us 'really, truly hooded eye girls' out here desperate for helpful advice. I've got small, very hooded and crepey lidded eyes and have bought dozens of expensive palettes in the hope that they would be 'the one' to make my eyes look good. I think your technique is the best I've seen and I'm going to practice this way to see how it looks on me. Thanks for your great advice and tips. I could listen to you all day! Thank you! 👏👏👏

I have always had hooded eyes, now more so as I have aged, I love to play with color. I would love to see doing a look with color.
I generally follow the shape you did…but I may use light colors on the lids. I also use lots of waterproof pencils and smudge them with shadows. I I have lots of brushes that I use for that. And definitely use an inner corner highlighter.
Also, I do use color on the cease because otherwise I will get a line from transfer.
Waterproof mascara is a must for me,

This was fantastic Caroline!! I have hooded eyes and at 65 they are droopy as well. Ive followed hooded eye tutorials but they just never seemed to work and I always ended with the area just above the crease looking too dark and heavy. This tutorial addresses that issue and makes total sense. I cant wait to use this technique tomorrow ( today being Sunday is no makeup day for me). That Max Factor mascara looks fabulous and I cant wait to get my hands on it when it appears on our shores. Thank you thank you for this super easy, makes sense tutorial Caroline, so very much appreciated! Stay safe and take care. Have a great week xx

There were a couple times you mentioned to not do things a certain way, and I wasn't quite sure I understood your verbal explanation of what not to do, but it sounded like good advice...wonder if you could do a video demonstrating what not to do to, perhaps alongside a better option, to illuminate the difference? Very helpful, especially when you showed how the shimmer wasn’t quite right and how going lighter and brighter was a better choice. It’s like the old adage in painting, color gets all of the credit while value does all the work.

Just found you today and I love the way you explained in detail about hooded eyes which is what I have. Thank you. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Really amazing! I'm alway tying to find the balance between hiding my sagging hoods and looking somewhat natural (what I like). Great tutorial!

Yeah! My hooded eyes need all the help they can get! Thank you so much! This was so helpful. I saved it and I’m going to follow it from now on. I was always scared to use shimmer on my lids until I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Oyster Pearl and Armani’s liquid shadow. They didn’t settle into wrinkles.
