I love how you're giving more attention to hooded eyes and mature skin on your videos.
Thanks, Wayne 🙏
I watch other influencers for their extravagance. I watch Wayne to actually learn something. He seems so sincere. Love his voice. And his techniques.
And so educational! Seems genuinely a good soul 🙂
Wayne Goss is like Bob Ross, except the canvas is his face. Very soothing to listen to also :)
Das finde ich auch.👍
Jeder ist Spezialist auf seinem Gebiet.
Ur right
Wayne Goss = Bob Ross ... yes!
Holy crap I was thinking the same thing and put in a comment say something similar before I saw this! Ah!!
Absolutely! I so agree with you.

Would love to see eye makeup techniques for glasses wearers.
Oh, please!
For hooded eyes glasses wearers.🙌💙🙏
Yes, please! I can do an absolutely lovely shadow look, be entirely in love with it, then put on my glasses and look drab again.
Yesssss
Yes please!
I am such a girl! I ran to my make up mirror to try this. I feel so cute!
I ALWAYS learn something new from Mr. Goss.
It's such a gift to have him share his amazing tips and techniques.
Take home message: "Never judge an eye shadow look until you put your lashes on ."
"of course she never said that, but I wish she would've!!" HAHAAHAHAHA
And since I ever use false lashes
no one could ever judge me 😜
I honestly love make up gurus that go STRAIGHT to content
YES! There are so many of them who are talking about everything just not the topic
i have been watching wayne for since 2012 ? 2013. I appreciate his videos because he has different techniques that he can explain in an articulate way. not a lot of people can do that.
also mature make up is the hardest thing to do on a client . wayne is really skilled!
Also,, the "normal" way to apply shadows is dark first, then highlight lid.... What I discovered,, is when I highlight first THEN SHADE THE DARK,,, It makes my hooded eyes wayyyyy better. Hope This Helps❣️❣️. 🐞
I absolutely will-
Thank You !💖

Seriously Wayne you are a bloody genius! You make looking great possible in so many different, on point demonstrations of makeup applications. I find you to be an excellent instructor/teacher. Always articulated perfectly in your genuine warm, gentle, smooth and soothing voice and demeanour. As a 42 year old woman I am finally learning how to properly apply my makeup in a way that makes me look beautiful and feel confident. All by following your video tutorials and wisdom. Please know that I wholeheartedly appreciate you and everything you do! ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
Oh my God, I've been doing my make-up all wrong. I've started using this technique after watching this video and my eyes have never looked prettier! Thank you so much Wayne!
Wayne is amazing. Some actual make up tips that work! He is not there just to show off or make tutorials with hundred different products. He shares some genuine wisdom! Thanks for making these videos Wayne!
He knows how to break up a technique to make it simple and accesible for all. That´s good teaching right there. Plus he´s lovely
Wayne! Hands down the Best instructor on UA-cam! I am not exaggerating when I say my eyeshadow application actually looks the best ever; as in public presentable....for the first time ever. Wayne because of your video I think I can wear eyeshadow in public with confidence💕
The “windshield wiper motion” was a game changer for me in shading my hooded eyes.
Wayne does REAL tutorials. He’s such a great teacher.
I‘m growing old with Wayne, that‘s for sure.
Hooded eye tips.❤️..and when one eye is more hooded than the other. The most practical techniques on UA-cam for hooded eyes.👍
Anishajs I use the little eyelid shapers to even up my eyes, do you know the ones that I mean? The ones that East Asian women wear to give you an eyelid? I use one on the droopy lid and it works!
Claredy J but doesn’t work with eyeshadow tho. 😔 shadow won’t stick on top of the tape and the tape won’t stick on a lid with eyeshadow. It works if you’re just doing liner and mascara!
I notice my eye that's hooded more is the side I sleep on the most which is my right side. I've been trying to sleep on my back but it's hard!
1a141036 put the little shaper on a dry eyelid, make sure its dry! Then tap very lightly a little bit of foundation on top and let dry. Then put ur eye shadow on top but pat it on very lightly on top, no swiping on, very light pats! Build up how much you need (i use powder, not cream). This works for me, just remember light patting! Hope this helps xx
mimii3000 i had not realised that!! But yes i sleep mostly on my right too and thats the droopier lid!
I've watched so many tutorials and tips for my eye type and never found them to really work for me, but this feels like something has clicked and I will be able to recreate this! I think our eyes are very similar so it's helpful to actually see it. Thank you!
I love your hints and tips for us “matures” don’t stop 💕💕
My hooded eyes are a bit different than the ones you demonstrate on -in that they are hooded at the inner corner of my eyelids rather than the outer corner. Do you have any tips or tricks for this problem plzzzzz - Dee UK X
I absolutely love this. All the fear and control of this pandemic , and here is Wayne doing his eyelid routine. What more can you need. Perfect. I can imagine a meteor heading straight for us and having one afternoon left, then Wayne coming on telling us how to survive with hooded eyes. It is what we would need. :)
I've been playing with makeup more these last couple of months than I have my entire life- and Ive always enjoyed wearing makeup lol Some days I wish someone could see my work--- other days I'm glad I stayed home.
😂 This is the perfect comment for a Wayne Goss video
THIS WORKS!! I have very hooded lids and as I age one is more hooded than the other. This technique balances them better than anything else I’ve tried. Thank you so much Wayne. Doing my makeup is much easier because of you!
If Wayne has to teach us how to do hooded eyes one more time we should be pros. I watch every time
I find your videos so soothing and just lovely. The content is great, but your delivery makes it magic.
I watch your videos all the time, though I never comment, but this time I have to say this is the very best hooded eye tip/ hack I have ever seen! Thank you so much wayne, as always you come through
I am both speechless & wanting 2 say 57 things at the same time.. This is the good shit in the world of makeup. Wayne Goss, u r an absolute darling. You're an ocean away but u draw me in & connect w me in every video & I end up wanting 2 kiss ur face then grab my nearest brush & pallette cuz I have renewed confidence & excitement.. U r such a gem. AWESOME freaking video, thank u. That turquoise pop at the end!?!... Omg. Stay well, safe & stay YOU! Xoxo😘
I saw “instant hooded eye hack!!!” and clicked SO FAST! 👏🏻😅

Yep- same..
Wish I found your videos before waisted hours on all the other eye makeup tutorials on UA-cam! Simple, easy to follow tutorials. Love listening to you talk...😊
P. S. You are such a handsome man!!
Hi Wayne, hope you are doing well. Hooded eyes get all the attention from every one. Please also do one for deep set eyes especially if there are under eye hollows as well.
YES, would be a lot of help, really, cuz i still can't figure mine out....
I watch these videos just to make sure I never do this...lol
I have a deeper set eyes with a slight hood as well, so my techniques vary depending on the look I'm going for. Is there a special kind of look you want to achieve (smoky eye vs. daytime look, liner, etc.)? I find that I can often do most looks but just adapt them slightly to brighten my eyes.
I have a several videos in my channel for deep set eyes, many people have found them help 🥰😘😘😘
I'd love to see him do a beautiful eye on hollow eyes. I love the look honestly, it reminds me of my mom. I miss her, and seeing eyes on others that are the same as hers were, makes me smile. I'm drawn to deep set eyes😍.. I personally have slightly hooded eyes.. and I'm tired of seeing the same "hooded eyes tutorial". I mean, there's only so many ways to get the best results for one eye shape.🤦
You are my soft spoken, talented hero. Thank you for your fabulous tips. Wayne Goss... you're making our world more beautiful, one eye at a time. (Wink)
I simply love that you’ve taken the complexity out of applying shadow on hooded eyes. Your technique is especially flattering for us mature gals who don’t want to look like a UA-camr. Simple and flattering ❤️❤️❤️
Wayne, I have watched so many of your videos. I love them all. I don't know what it was about this one but it works perfectly for me. I have been creating my most beautiful eye makeup since watching this video. Thank you!!! 😉
I love that this is easy with just one brush! My eyes are hooded and has like wrinkly skin so I usually have to use multiple brushes which is annoying to me if I just want a quick everyday look. So I can’t wait to try this! 🥰
This is amazing, I watched your undereye bag trick and it worked first time! I’m going to try this now. Your hacks are so easy to do and SO well explained. Best makeup artist on UA-cam hands down (and I never leave reviews!).
I use the matte backside of a business card as my guide.
that turquoise at the end omg stunning! my dream blue
Wait! I need that stencil!
Thanks from an old fogie who appreciates a tutorial that is effective, is not over-the -top like some "tutorials," or even worse done by people who have no idea how to do hooded eyes and do the most impractical eyes imaginable. So thanks for a practical, easy to learn and do and works well even with glasses!
Could you please link the eyeshadow shield you keep using? I can't find them anywhere. Thank you. 😚
I have, not only hooded, but small eyes and never saw the point of wearing eyeshadow. But I'm trying your easy techniques and they really work! I'm starting to like wearing makeup again. THANK YOU!💄💗
"you use the color that you like" AMEN! Thanks Wayne 🥰
I have aging hooded (not what I would call heavy..more medium) with somewhat mobile skin. This technique is the first time ever that gave me that gradual almost gradient shaded look I love but have never achieved on myself without shadow creasing, skipping or making my eyes look droopy. You can't mess this up! Thank you!!
I love his hooded tips bc my eye shape is so similar to his!
He is a hooded eye girl's bff😌
@@jennifermarie8979 yasss! And his voice and demeanor are so comforting ☺ like asmr
@@mysmirandam.6618 Yassssss 2 all 3 of these points! Perfectly worded!❤
@@jennybeam7226 Thank you! Gotta love Wayne...I used to look older with the way I was doing my makeup before him!
Same mine look like exactly the same
I have heavy lids with lots of mobile skin and this technique works fine. Your brushes are so soft they don't move the skin around too much. The #4/#19 works so well on my small eyes for this.
I literally love you everyone compliments my makeup cause of your help
MY MIND IS BLOWN WAYNE! Thank you sweetheart!
More tips/looks like this please!
Blending and Smokey eyes have escaped my talents these few years outta practice 😅
Loved this!!!💘💘💘
the best advice ever for me is that you can use any eyeshadow color you like no matter what eye color you have.. just have fun and mix up colors as long as you apply it properly for your eye shape. 💕
Love your tips as always Wayne, but I wanted to say that I absolutely love the look of the lighting on the flowers in the background! It looks beautiful! ❤️
I just found this tutorial! Why have I not watched every single one of your vids? This is truly incredible hack for me! Thanks so much💜
i love how detailed the tutorials always are. i watch them for even if they dont apply to me haha. could you please do a tutorial for deep set eyes / hollow undereyes?
Thanks again Wayne!! I was always told that I couldn't wear blues and greens in eyeshadow because I have blue eyes, but there are so many different shades that I CAN and DO wear now because I've found colors that work. Not that there's anything wrong with neutrals, but I was so tired of always having to wear them to fit my eye color, and was a bit bored with my makeup, and was under the impression that I couldn't wear color because it wasn't flattering. Now I know that makeup is supposed to be FUN and who cares what colors you wear, and that's brought me enormous freedom and sparked a ton of creativity in makeup! I love this technique, and will definitely be trying it!
My favorite beauty vlogger I was talking about you earlier. Your style and tips are amazing
THIS IS INCREDIBLE ! You are a Make up legend ! Love this technique, so quick, easy and beautiful 😍
This is by far the most helpful hooded tutorial I have ever seen.
I just want to say a quick thank you for saying who this look will NOT look good on (me). I'm so frustrated with trying things that don't work. I've learned so much from you but most of all am grateful for the honesty in your videos. Thank you!
Wayne thank you so much for using a color! This is the best tutorial ever!🥰
Ok. I'll be sixty-three next month. I've watched this guy for years for tips & tricks but never subbed for some reason. I've noticed my face is finally starting to age. Hooded lids are getting more pronounced. Thought, let me see what Goss has to say about hiding my saggy lids. Well, it worked like a dream, I actually look like my old self again through some tricks of color. I'm amazed. Thank you so much. If it works on someone my age imagine what it will do for you youngins? Thanks Wayne. Oh yeah, I finally subscribed. In a month I may look twenty again.
Thank you so much for this tip! I have hooded eyes and i always struggle with eyeshadow and this is why i was not using eyeshadow lately! The close up helped allot too!
Thank God! I’ve been looking for simple ways to do on hooded eyes. You are the best !
I've been doing this for a while and it feels like I just got a pat on the head from daddy 🙈
S A M E. I feel so validated lmfao
Lol
I have watched 15 women do eyeshadow and FINALLY after watching YOU only one time-i think I got it!!!
Saved! Trying this in the morning, too bone tired, just home from work, looks fab Wayne ;-)
Hallelujah! I have wondered if I was lining up my stencil incorrectly because some days my hooded eyes look more like drapes rather than curtains. There are so many contributing factors to duplicating “the look”! Thank you for specifying stencil placement!. Trial and error left me frazzled just when I was grasping blending, but my gut screamed something wasn’t quite right. I was about to start process of elimination all together! Thanks for another “A HA!” moment! You are the man!
Hi Wayne 🌟
I have hooded eyes but still personally I like some other techniques previously shown on this channel much more than this one. But it's absolutely OK, we are different, our needs are different too.
Many greatings from the CZ.
Stay safe everybody ❤️
I love that you demo your techniques on your own face. It's super helpful to see how to hold/position the tools for self application.
I dont even have a hooded eyes but still am here. Also the first one 😊 i love you wayne goss
“Go with the colors you like” love it!
This is the first time I actually learned something from a make up tutorial
I always love your videos, Wayne- no long drawn out intros, you get right to the point and give really great info.
Of course she never said that but I wish she would’ve! 😂😂😂😂
I love him
You are the savior of us hooded eyes people! Thanks for this amazing hack! xoxo Regards from Dominican Republic!
I'm going to ask this again 😜
Please find a way to sell a stencil exactly like this. I love the design, different angles. Since you like it because it is hers, make it a homage 🖤 Maybe sell it in a set with one of your brushes?
Angelic it’s available to order. I have one on the way.
@@victoriadzurinko5382 thanks, but the only place I can find it is Ravishing Cosmetic. Including shipping, plus duty & tax it's about 125€. If you got yours elsewhere, I would love to hear.
You can definitely make one easily with a suede like fabric that has a slight stiffness. It should be a fabric you can cut and it won't fray like flannel. Also masking tape works :)
@@diannahampton-dowson2224 I know, Wayne also says a tissue will work, but I seem to have fallen in love with the angles on this (career, smokey...) Just not 125€ in love 😜
@@angelic3450 I get it. I have the old school one, it's good but not life changing girl. I enjoy masking better as a makeup artist bc the line is even on both sides if you line up the tape right 🤣
Ur eyes fit my eyes exactly!! Even annoying lines beside both !! To drag the eyeshadow down on edges was perfect .. they all think to high them to make them lefted !! Extra smart and brand new information !

Thank you so much for this easy hack. I start work at 4 am and my makeup time is very limited. You showed me how to easily start my day and amp it up later. I absolutely love this!!!
Thank you Wayne! Your hooded eye tips have helped me make my eyeshadow look just that much better! 💕
Wayne has quickly become my favorite YT'er for make up tutorials! His skills are impeccable, but it's also about his presentation. A➕
🌟 🌟 🌟
I have small, deep-set AND hooded eyes 😭 I can’t follow any beauty guru tutorials and have it look right.
I have all three plus my eyes are uneven 😭😭
Have you tried Aly Art? Her tutorials are a lot about balancing features and she goes video by video for different eye/nose shapes, coloring, body types. It's super helpful ❤️
Just remembering when Wayne mentioned in one of his videos that deep-set hooded eyes don’t exist lol.
LM did he really?! 😂 I’m glad he sees otherwise now. I used to think it was illegal to drive with your interior car light on at night, so I can’t act like I’ve always known everything 😂 We learn as we grow, I guess!
That exactly describes me. Nothing I have tried looks good. Nobody seems to address people like us with multiple problems
The turquoise elevated the drama exponentially - love it!
I read your comment and agreed 100%, Kim - the turquoise kicked it up a notch ... then I looked to see who had made the comment ... how bizarre ... it could have been me 😄🤩
@@kimbrackenridge7551 Good taste amongst us Kim's? 😉
Hilariously this is how I've learned to do my eyes, mine are severely hooded with a fold over my inner corner as well, and this is the only way my eyeshadow is even slightly visible with my eyes open
I really enjoyed the tutorial but the last part when you added the black and turquoise shadows....OMG!!! I loved it
you are the Bob Ross of make-up
yes he is.
we just need some happy little trees hidden in here. 💚
❤️💛💚💙💜 Yes, the eyeshadow color is definitely our choice.
I am going to try this!! Thanks Wayne! I love that little template, where do I get one?
Alexis Vogel shadow shaper
So many awesome takeaways from this video. Right up there is the encouragement to select eyeshadows ‘you’ like, as opposed to colours supposed to be better for your eye colour. Sounds obvious but definitely spoke to me today. ❤️
I sooo wish that one day you will use an actual model with hooded eyes,it would be so helpful ...
Wow...wow...wow... Wayne...love the technique..and you used all my fav colors😍.. especially the last bit black with electric blue.. love.. love love... And having hooded eyes with age (50yrs) this is perfect and easy.... You are my one and only makeup guru🥰🌼🌺🌸💕💕💕💕
What about when the hood rests on your eye ? That’s what I got 😢. Help 🙏🏼
I am not one for de rigueur catch phrases, but this one definitely fits. Wayne, your instant hooded eye method is a game changer! I tried it the very next day and it worked like a charm. I cannot get over how perfect my eyeshadow now looks. And, it is so easy! Thank you so much for sharing this!
First 😅 Don't have hooded eyes but like sharing tips!
Same love his tips and accent :)
Wow this is fantastic. It looks so good and gives the perfect eye shape. Thanks, Wayne!
Does anyone have eyes that droop down at the sides? I have this so i could never have a cats eye look or even wear eye liner! Also i have one lid that is way more hooded than the other! ☹️
I do too....
Ellie Razmi Get the little eye lid tapes, you can buy them on Amazon! Use it on just the droopy lid to even it up! 🤗
I have the same as you and I’ve adapted the following:
- never take my eyeliner right into the corner because I’m emphasizing the “droop”
- I’ve done similar to Wayne here but I’ve never been a big fan of using the tissue to wing it out
- if Some of the fall out goes outside toward the area of the droop, I use the foundation brush and any leftover product on it to remove it
Christie Dugal great tips! I have to stay away from eye liner full stop, as my whole eye droops so far down at the edge. I find a small bit of highlighter in the corner is fine.
Claredy J I believe I learned it front Wayne but I literally just line above where my pupil is to bring emphasis to it without enhancing anything further
Tried it and works like a charm! I have a scar in my eyelid that makes it difficult and this worked well because it took the right shape. I blended mine a little on top, preference.
Tips for Hooded eyes.!?Here-🙋♀️..
Thank you Wayne-

I trust everything this man says he’s just so very sincere in what he says you can just feel his honesty.
I have the hardest time with making my undereye look like anything. I have hooded, semi deepset eyes that turn down. I end up looking like a hollow eyed demon, of course if I try to use an eye kohl and bottom mascara I look like a goth parody. BUT, like Wayne I absolutely LOVE how a black or brown eye kohl looks on an eye. I just wish my eye shape and my skill level didn't literally go to war on my damn eyeball every single time.
Same! The struggle is real! I have never ever been able to do a winged liner either because of the downturn of my eyes.
@@KittySoftpaws1117 me either! I've tried ALL the tricks, the closest I've gotten is Jaime French's trick but my hands aren't really steady enough or my lid is too wriggly to do it right. Ugh. I just want to be able to have a cute wing liner and be able to pop lashes on. LOL
Chelle have you looked into those eyeliners with winged liner stamps on one end? I bet those would help a lot...I have hooded eyelids and sometimes my hands are unsteady so I'd like to buy one myself.
@@asc.k1865 yes, and those end up being the best I can do with them LOL it's a lot of trial and error getting them even ish though.
I love watching the tutorials. I have moderately hooded lids and the little changes to my eyeshadow and liner techniques I've learned over the years have transformed my appearance much for the better when made up. Like others have mentioned , Wayne Goss is the Bob Ross of make up tutorials. I really enjoy the voice and speech pattern.
