Another year where the jury decides who wins,might eswell just delete the tele votes from next year cuz they clearly don't matter anyway,always after the jury votes it's clear who is gonna win,Last year Loreen against Kariija,this year Nemo against Marko,im so mad right now and im not even from Croatia,you guys really deserved the win,after the performance it felt like a winners performance from Marko didn't get the same feelin after Nemo tho,anyway Congrats to Croatia from Lithuania you are the winners,love your channel eswell btw🇱🇹❤🇭🇷
If anything, this year has proved why the juries are so important considering the massive Israeli ad campaign and political supporters purely voting based on politics that with 100% televoting would have risked a political Israeli win bought with ad money and politics. Same thing happened in 2022 with Ukraine and during the infamous 2000s neighbor block voting debacle.
Juries are not perfect and I do think that they should have somewhat less power (say 1/3 of the points) - but they are needed to keep the contest apolitical.
@@Fluxwux Yes and no, sometimes the juries make the wrong choices. Back in 2019 Norway won the televote by a wide margin and there was nothing political about that song, it was just the most liked song by the people. How the jury ranked that song 18th is still a mystery to me. Anyway, it's not true (as some people pretend) that the jury always decide the winner. Italy was the televote winner in 2021 (only 4th in the jury vote) and the same happened with Ukraine in 2022.
@@fabiodeluca4816 I agree that they in some cases totally rob some contestants, but they also let others shine and get the spotlight and love they deserve, that the televote otherwise is ruthless against and that might rank actual joke/crazy entries several times higher than amazing vocals and performances that are pure perfection. I do think the 100% televote semis are great and filter many dead on arrival null points jury friendly songs in the final - and in a perfect peaceful
world a 33/67 or 40/60 system would be preferable to reduce jury landslides like Nemo and Loreen. But I see why juries are needed to balance quality and fun - but also keep international conflicts and politics out of Eurovision. Having a referendum on foreign policy every year will be the end of ESC or lead to a 100% jury system that also would slowly kill the contest.

Have you ever considered that people like the song? It's the best song imo, about as good as switzerlands (and a bit better than croatias).
@@shaaravguha3760 It is a basic slow traditional radio friendly ballad in English, which usually does not have high results in the contest. Considering the dramatic change in the odds for Israel from maybe 3% to a high of 30%-40% in just a day proves that it was political. Israel bought ads all over Europe on UA-cam videos (I’ve had dozens shown to me) and several political accounts online pressured their non ESC viewing followers to vote 20 times.
And Croatia still managed to win the televote with zero ads.
A normal year, Eden Golan would struggle to even qualify or be bottom 5 in the final. Let’s be honest here. What made Golans entry so special, unique and quality-filled that it would even compete for a top 10 finish any other year?

When Israel got a question, they weren't about to awnser it. Then Joost Klein said why not? Also he had placed the Dutch side with red over his head. Obviously he was making a well deserved statement about EBU defending Israel. So I'm sure they just didn't want him to compete anymore because he might have won with all free-palestine votes. And he's also the kind of person that probably would have yelled FREE PALESTINE if he had won. So they were just happy to have a reason to cut him out. Genocide is okay, standing up for yourself isn't.

Jury got 5k euros each from Switzerland (22/37 countries got him 12 points now tell me how did Croatia get 2/37 12 points while absolutely dominating Eurovision 2024).

I will have to disagree with most of you guys, I much prefer Switzerland winning. I don't get why was Croatia was favoured to win so much (the odds 44-48%???) and I hate when that happens and the favourite always wins. The song imo was not exciting at all, it was just okay except the interaction with the audience. France was the greatest singer on the competition and Nemo perfomance + song deserved to win they both owned the stage by themselves wasnt only the jury a lot of people voted for them 220+ are not bread crumps. Congrats are in order to Croatia tho as well.
This competition was messy af. So many songs that were just clowns on stage but thank god there were some good ones. At least my man Nemo was respectful with his gender not like the others. Eurovision becaume a gender rights and political competition. Russia is not allowed to participate but Israel is in and Netherlands got expelled for no announced reason.

In this competition, music has long been important, but some "values" of this era. Sad. A beautiful traditional competition of high art has turned into something completely different. The rules are not the same for everyone! So many announcements of voices who commented on UA-cam from all over Europe, Baby Lasagna, so many reviews and finally... it's a shame. Europe is currently the height of hypocrisy.

Sramota od žirije. Hrvatska je pobjednik ljudi i to bi trebalo biti glavno. Neki troje ili četiri ljudi odlučuje i više važi njihov glas nego glas ljudstva??? I žirija bi morala malo gledati šta ljudi u državi žele, ako su ljudi glasali za nekoga i žirija bi morala dati max bodova. U Sloveniji smo glasali za Marka!!! Ne znam ali nekako je moje mišljenje, da se baš "poklopilo" da Marko nije dobio ni jedan bod od nekih žirija, i na kraju velika razlika u bodovima od žirija između prva dva, pa nije bilo dovoljno bodova od tel. glasova za pobjedu 🤔🤔🤔??? Ali kako je rekao Marko, ljudi slušaju, ne žiri, da to je istina i baš zato bi Marko morao pobjediti!!!! Pozdrav iz Slovenije, i žao nam je, da nije pobjedila Hrvatska. They didn't ruin the finals. I think Switzerland is a deserved winner and they also got over 200 points of the televoting.
@@eichof01 I'm not saying that it was bad, no... Swiss song is good and his voice is strong. Just that mostly everyone from my surroundings voted for Croatia because it's a more fun and unique song. Talent is very skeptical, because in terms of talent I think Ireland also did great from vokals to overall performance.

Message of this year Eurovision was equity...and Nemo was sending that message with the flag he was holding...with his outfit, with his song and what he found in itself. Serbia and Cyprus, thank you for 12 points, and to all that voted for our song! France had beautiful song, Norway, Portugal and Serbia as well!
Congrats to Marko and his team, for great energy, great way of representing parts of croatian tradition. Your song won many of us!
