I realizied how Sara and Ryk played a lot with lightning and both are the biggest robberies of the season to me.
A lot of former Eurovision artists failed to return this year.

how was pedestal chosen with this performance
in escz (the czech national final), there is an international public vote along with the czech one. the international vote was dominated by aiko probably because they wanted to sabotage czechia this year.

There is a rumor that the international voting app failed, resulting in Aiko receiving many accidental votes due to being the first option. If true, Czechia made a blunder. If not true, then Aiko must have cheated.
This was my first time seeing the live performance of Witch-er 🇵🇱 and yeah, that would have been amazing…
From this recap. i was most happy that Lithuania chose Silvester Belt. Latvia, Denmark, Serbia, Portugal & Italy great choices aswell. the most dissapointed choices where from Finland, Spain, Germany, Czechia, Luxembourg

This was a good National Final season in that unlike last year, many of the favourites that we didn't think would win did win (e.g. Baby Lsagna, Silvester Belt or Saba).
But shout out to the following artists, who I think still deserved to go a lot:

Paskana 💔, Go Tobann, and Witch-er Tarohoro are the biggest losses here! Also would have preferred Pelas Costuras, Gnezdo Orlovo, The Cat's Song, Into The Atmosphere... And in some of these my favourite isn't even in top 3, like Lithuania. BTW, where did you get Poland's placings, as the entry was an internal choice..?
Paskana would be my overall winner this year. Still cant go over. What a loss. They choose the worst song out there. 😢
@@EurovisionOpale Well, I loved Paskana & voted for it, but I now love our chosen entry too, it's definitely not the worst in UMK! And in fact great. It's fun & uplifting, what Paskana in all honesty wasn't, it was of course deep in anguish, and that's a different kind of excellence; but it seems most people prefer fun & uplifting energy these days, with all that's going on in the world, and can't blame them :)

Not sure about that. If you are a country as small as Luxembourg unknown to most countries participating currently, sending a ballad would get you lost and forgotten. Sending an upbeat song is the way to go.

It always seems to be the songs that's stuck in my head and I keep singing or humming along (or even wanting to rep into Eurovision this year) are the ones that are in 2nd or 3rd but never actually the winners (Doesn't mean that some of the songs that did win didn't deserve to go through) Norway with Keiino's Damdiggida, Sweden with Medina's Que Sera, Luxembourg with Krick's Drowning in the rain, Ukraine with Ziferblat's Place I call home, Estonia with Ollie's My friend, Lithuania with The Roop's Simple Joy, and (This hurts me the most) Moldova with Valeria Pasha's Anti-princess

What happen in Albania?
Results of the Festivali i Kenges were determined only by jury. However, there was another voting for fan favourite who will go to the Eurovision. That's why Mal won the festival, but Besa went to Eurovision (as she won the televoting).
