My first time watching this movie. I randomly saw it on UA-cam and decided to watch at midnight😂. Honestly, I didn't have any expectations but WOW this was such a beautiful movie. Old movies can be boring sometimes but this one kept me watching, i just couldn't stop because it was sooo good. I love when he spoke about God being like a father who cries with you and rejoices when you're well, that touched me. I loved his response to finding out she was pregnant, instead of being unhappy about it he just said that it's a beautiful memory of her late husband. He was just such a great character. I loved Missy, she was too cute when she started liking her "new mom." I love that she didn't try to be a mom to her, she just genuinely loved Missy and she absolutely deserved that sweet "mama," from Missy at the end. It was just spectacular and it just might become one of those movies i watch repeatedly when i miss it. Loved it! ❤

This is my 3rd time watching this movie. Full of pain, love and happiness. It will be a movie I will go back and watch again. Love it and all the characters that played in it.

What I've learned from the movie which we can apply to our relationship with God.
1. Love is reciprocating. As much as God wants us to be in His presence and shows us how He feels, we too must choose it.
2. Just because God loves us doesn't mean we won't face difficulties in life. Because He loves us, He ALWAYS is around to help us through.
Yes, We are not the ones running things, even though people may think things are to go their way.
I truly believe everything in my life happened with Gods blessing and his answers to many of my prayers! I never think I have this beautiful life with my wonderful marriage of 40 years,good job, good health, good family because of my hard working but with God’s blessing!

I have just stumbled on this movie and I know it is a sign from God for me that there is hope to find love again. A good kind man that loves and honors God just like I desire and I am praying for. The Scene where Clark said, Missy can fall down even while he’s walking beside her and that doesn’t mean he allowed it to happen struck out to me because my friend’s daughter ( about 2year old) fell down today in church and I was right beside her, I didn’t know when I threw my bag away and rushed to pick her up. Even much more God’ is always there to pick us up everytime.
The scene ministered to me, thank you Holy Sprit for bringing that scene to my remembrance.

I saw this movie when it first aired many years ago, and I still LOVE it. It's tied for first place with The Magic of Ordinary Days. Skeet Ulrich plays the same type of kind-hearted, gentle man. Unfortunately, no one makes movies like this anymore; not even Hallmark. I'm so glad I can watch it on UA-cam. Thanks for posting this great movie.

Yes. The title is perfect. She’s devastated by the loss of her husband and grieving so much, but overtime by the love of this wonderful man’s love comes to her. Not the way it did it first time but the love she has with this man is still good and it came softly. “Sometimes love isn’t fireworks, but sometimes love just comes softly”.

I read over and over all the Love Comes Softly books 40 years ago, and they are still wonderful. Everything Janette Oke wrote is worth reading, she is such a gifted author.

The touching thing here is that he left his wants and desires and faced that of another.....thats selfless love...that Christ gives. And at last, God still met his desires...bcos he still trusted God when it looked like all hope was lost.....

If you haven't read the books I highly recommend them all. There's so much more to the story and they're all so interesting. This one variates from the 1st book some like Missy's age but they have to condense so much in movies. They're some of the best I've ever read.

This movie reminds me of the pain I felt when I lost my 32 year old son in 2014. I cannot find comfort of the grief I felt and until now I'm still grieving...there's no deadline when to stop grieving.
The background music is very melancholic.
This movie also is a living testimony of what the Lord's said he will replace the pain to happiness. Mr Clark has a very strong faith or trust in God.
Congratulations to the scriptwriter, producer and director of this film.
Hoping that Hallmark can again produce another good movies different from what they are making at present which become so boring already with almost the same plot.

I love this movie! I thought a long time ago, but did not remember the depths of which the story is told about how God loves us and allows bad things happening alive, so we can be drawn closer to him… I can personally attest to that truth after fighting cancer, surgery as a result of that cancer, multiple heart attacks & just this year, I have been seven months in the hospital almost 100% of the time during those seven months. I will not go into detail what was going on with my health because that’s not the point except it was certainly the most horrible and painful experience I’ve ever walked through in my life with God, and as long as I kept my eyes on HIM, and believed he would heal me in HIS time, I kept my eyes focused on Him and kept my faith strong, even though it wasn’t always easy& the most painful thing I’ve ever had to go through.
This is a great movie which I am sure many people can relate to. I thank you for having it available for all of us to see & enjoy, as well as being reminded of the importance of our faith and trust in God❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

The storyline of this movie well acted and convey to the audience. A movie worth watching for a person grieving and needing some assurance that we can indeed experience love and God's love embraces us when we don't understand difficult circumstances at times.
I have to say, as an agnostic person as well as a graduate of film school, I wholeheartedly loved this movie! Beautifully constructed story, great actors and performances, and just overall pure goodness! I can see why it's such a cult favorite! We are made in God's image to worship Him & have a relationship with others. I absolutely LOVE this movie! One of the best I've seen in a long time! The father of Missy is every girls dream. He's a Godly man who believes in his faith to weather any storm, he's kind, gentle, and respectful. Katherine Hiegel played a wonderful part too along with Little Missy! All I can say is Bravo!
I love this film so very much and anything that Michael Landon's son has done is worthwhile watching. I loved Michael Landon's "Little House on the Prairie and "Highway to Heaven" too I see his son following in his father's footstep a wonderful way to continue his father's legacy. Thanks to his son for giving us such a special movie.

Love comes softly. Truly a great movie. Clark and Marty made this movie so worthwhile. The script is truly depicting men and women with respect and understanding. No bad language. Clark’s character comes from deep inner being. Marty a woman of substance. I truly wish more movies were made with more dignity for human beings. I love all the actors from this movie.

I just watched it after seeing Katherine Heigl. She never disappoints just like 'Knocked Up'
I have had the book this movie was based on since 1982. I now have the entire series.
I am not a real fan of the artistic licence taken with the characters, but most of the story rings true. In the book, Marty said that she drew her strength from the God who made the hills. All my life I have depended on God to be my deliverer, and my Saviour. I pray for everyone who sees this, and comes. Like Marty did, to know Jesus as their personal saviour.
Beautiful thought...love isn't always fireworks sometimes love comes softly...we often question God's ways specially during difficult times, may never get answers to why bad things happen to good people but still miracles happen too. I guess life is about accepting the bad & still believing in the good.

My heart wanted to watch this movie again. If I can I'd love to watch as many times Gods able to let me. For those of you that think it be a movie not worth by watching it's your opinion. As for me it let's myself live during those times and a Christian listening to the songs words and the faith, prayers, and beliefs fills my heart with so much love. I suffer with depression. It's not that I don't believe in our Lord but when you watch this movie perhaps you'll understand why I love to watch this. Christians do suffer from depression and I'm one of them. Hope you like this movie as well as I do. Probably will watch again. ❤
Beautiful movie. Always gives me so much warmth. Perfect actors for this. I will always come back to watch it. This is the way I would want to live. So simple, yet so full of connection and trust. I would trade anything to live such life. Unfortunately, the child actor died...in real life..
