Always a good time getting settled down for the night watching a fellow trapper tend his line. Thanks for sharing brother and best of luck this year!!!
Hell yeah! Just butchered the skinning job on my first fox, going to watch somebody that actually knows what they are doing, eat some dinner and try to get my first fisher cat skun out. I am psyched to watch another season with you trapper j!!
@perchman4765 I'm in Maine. We have some decent ones, I got a small male but I'm really looking for the big giant male that's been around the backyard lately. Do you get them with porcupine quills in them? I almost got stuck a few times, the thing had like a dozen in its face.
@@mikewhitman745 I lived in northern MN for several years and there were fishers where I lived but I didn't trap. I was busy running a winter fish'n program on the lake and plowing roads on the lake. To busy for fun things like trapping. Thanks for the reply. Hope you get the big one.
I finally got one on you bud! I caught my first otter last season in a 220! To bad a possum clogged yours up! I loved your blind set on the sand bar! It was fun watching you make those sets! Good luck with everything my friend!
Hey buddy for that set that was all covered by sand you should definitely splash a bunch of water up the sand slid about 3’ to 4’!!! That will help from all the sand falling down the slide and onto the trap as much as if it was dry!!!!
Hahaha checking male or female coyote and instead gives you a surprise turd!! 😂😂 I know nothing about trapping and live in the city so it’s all foreign to me, but LOVE the vids! I’ve been watching your trapping videos for I think 4-5 years now. Best time of year!
You rock man I love watching your videos. Man if you put videos on uncut I will start my subscription up again. Nothing better than some good old boy videos
I've used 3/4 inch white PVC pipe driven it in the ground and use 2 number 2 Bridgers on either side of it and use kayo sent and bait in the pipe and caught coyotes
I love the blind sets I would have set the same spot but wouldnt have put the stick to the right across the path or the last one you put up against the log to the left. Would have tried to catch ‘em how it was because they were already using it. Just me tho I feel like less is more on that spot but then you get a spot where it feels like the more shit you put up the better you catch it’s weird for me
Such a different world trapping your area brother. Here in th U.P. Of Michigan we have to wash all metal and then dip in a solution to cover the smell of anything metal. Appreciate your videos brotha
Love Love Love it bro!!!! Back to your roots doing what ya love!!!! This is why you will blow past the 100K in no time and the sky is the limit!!!! Keep grinding man keep grinding!!!! Look how far you have come already!!!! Great video again man keep it up!!!
I really enjoy your videos. Your pond is huge, we have a small one at our place, here in Boone, Cty, Iowa. Can't keep the water clear in summer. Hv 3/50 gallon barrels set up as filters and the pond is still green.🙃😵💫 You have some great ground for trapping. Carry On.
I have a skunk working hell out of my front yard & I almost got sprayed the other night pushing a wheel barrel in the dark, the moon light barely saved me. It was black & dirty sliver grey with black streaks instead of white striped. I've never seen one like it before. It went under the house(trailer) with the cats & kittens to escape me & the wheel barrel. I should have tipped the wheel barrel up & flipped it over top of it when it was backing up at me.
Nothing like a beer, something rolled up to smoke and a Trapper J vid!!!
Facts lol.
Dabs
That's funny! Not alone
That's why I love your videos bro, you always keeping it reel. So glad season has started, so I can watch every one of em,lol. Much luck, brother.

I’ve got some fur handling videos if you want to check them out
Are you a Minnesotian? Just wondering you mentioned a fisher.

Awesome stuff brother, hopefully the next coyote down that trail steps in that set, looked good to me 👍👍
You rock man I love watching your videos. Man if you put videos on uncut I will start my subscription up again. Nothing better than some good old boy videos
Good looking coyote !! You always have awesome water trapping spots!! I'm just a little bit jealous !! Lol Good looking line!!
Thanks

Glad it's that time of year again ks doesn't open till the15 here either but I will be watching all of your videos keep them videos coming 👍👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
awesome dog you got in that last one!!
Hey J , what’s the idea behind placing the wool down the hole!
Do you have any dog proof traps out to try and pick up the nest predators before they plug up your other sets?
What cloth do u use to put on top of the coyote traps

Yeah, that drought screwed a lot of things up. I'm limited with water trapping to begin with, so it's going to be a slow season for me
Blind sets like 3 or 4 of them , set every spot where it narrows down.
Enjoyed.
You from Missouri also? Fenton, Mo. Here.
Let's get it!
Like your show u teach people how to trap as u trap
I’ve only caught groundhogs in snares. Need to get into dogproofs and stuff just don’t know what to buy and what’s good/not good
Snares around that stump where you set the trap line the bank with them see what happens
Keep up the good work!!
👍
I'd probably set a long the trails leading down to that part on both sides. Use some skunky stuff up on the trail to bring them up.
Otters do not eat many ticks at all
How does the otter go lol
Keep ‘em rolling in!!
Trapper j is the goat I hope he gives something the long dong
Pretty yote brother, I'm sure you are going to succeed on that 100k no doubt.
👊💀
What do you do with the meat?
Great day
Great stuff man
What are the wipes/cloth being placed on top of traps sometimes? Is that fur being placed in the bait hole?
Pan cover for the traps and prolly wool stuffed in the holes
First 😂
Any recommendations for catching fox? I am going to try your box traps from last year.
Want to ask you if ever set a traps off while you are placing it next to the hole and if you do, how does it feel?
Yes sir catch myself all the time keep on moving on
All right something's going to die
Didn't know coyotes barked like that...
Put a rock where the hole starts
That sand keeps doing that, guess you will have to snare his ass with one of your cable restraints, lol. Now back to your video, lol.
I'd gang set that mud bar, about ten traps.
J have you ever hunted in Illinois for deer?
No sir
Definitely not the goat but he is a dam good trapper and a heck of a video producer
These videos go by too fast. Sit here for 30 minutes and feel like its only been 5.
Might be a stupid idea but have you thought about black wax sand I know places like petsmart sell black aquarium sand for the darker wet areas?
need to have a weekend with trapper j for some of your fans.
With that many prints and being sand you should just put a blind set on that trail or 2
I like the set by the river I hope it produces man.
Are you going to make it go boom boom 💥
👍🏻😎🇺🇸
Where do you recommend getting trapping supplies. I’m sure they are all similar just figured I’d get your opinion. Thanks
Funke trap supplies or iron trail trapping supplies

Great to see you out doing your part for population control.
