Richardson Story - RGGO English Translation

- This was a fun one to translate. Mainly because whenever Richardson used English in his Japanese sentences, it was ALL TYPED IN CAPS.
Notes:
That first text box says that this story is set in 2007, but I'm pretty sure it's wrong and this is during the events of Yakuza 3 in 2009, before Richardson first approaches Kiryu in the alley.
Richardson’s mixing of English and Japanese when is quite fun. I’ve colour-coded the dialogue to make it clearer when he’s doing this.
- Everything in white is in Japanese. Richardson’s Japanese is written all in katakana, showing his strong accent.
- Sometimes he uses English phrases with Japanese pronunciation and grammar. This is also written using katakana. I’ve coloured this in blue (for example, he says “verii kyuuto” (very cute) to the cabaret girl).
- With his subordinates its written between「」brackets, showing that he’s speaking in English, I’ve coloured this in green.
- Sometimes he just says English phrases in the middle of a Japanese conversation which get written out IN ENGLISH IN ALL CAPS. I considered leaving them as is because it was kind of funny, but decided to colour them in green and transcribe them normally.
The sushi he eats:
- Engawa - Flounder tail
- Aburi Toro - Seared fatty tuna belly
The song he sang at karaoke was Kamurocho Lullaby (Kamuro Setsugekka)
At 6:33 he actually says “No I don’t”. I fixed his grammar.
He's just a tourist, that's surprisingly wholesome.
now we need richardson karaoke
We kinda got it?
Can we appreciate the fact that even with gun in his hand he's more polite and respectful as a tourist than Johnny Somali and other weird streamers appearing in Japan lately?
Lmfao
4:36 Like i heard from my brother before...
I wonder if 3:25 is what drove him to open revolve bar in LAD8 lmao
Hi! Can you please post the English translation of the most recent kashiwagi (and kazama) story? Thanks a lot!
We still don't have the ending to that one yet, but I'll put it on the list for when it's out.
@@Hisanas thanks a lot!
@@Hisanas hey, is this out yet?
@@sakshithakar9585 It is, but I've been taking a break from working on translations. It is quite short though, so when I get back into things it shouldn't take me too long to do.
