I think you could randomly pick any 10 out of the 64 episodes made and you would get a great top 10.
8:24 I've heard before that they were threatened with the sack if they screwed up the scene with the chandelier, but the camera cuts from the scene of the falling chandelier to the trotters, so if they had messed up they could have refilmed from that cut. Great episode though.
I agree with #1, but you've omitted some excellent eps, including: Go West Young Man, The Long Legs of the Law, From Prussia with Love, Dates, Danger UXD & The Unlucky Winner Is ...
Danger UXD, The Unlucky Winner is... , Tea for 3, Yuppy Love, Time on our hands, Friday 14th?! All classics, tbh you can't narrow down OFAH to the top 10, MORE LIKE TOP 20 OR EVEN 50 lol.
Yh exactly agreed I had a top 10 off top of my head as you say a top20- 50 would be more suitable great show their was only a handful of episodes I didnt like👍

My favourites (in no particular order): Yuppie Love Jolly Boys Outing The Unlucky Winner Is... Dates Heroes and Villains Time On Our Hands Stage Fright Danger UXD Its Only Rock n Roll A Touch of Glass
Thanks for this list. I know these kind of things are subjective, particularly comedy. Totally agree 'Jolly Boys Outing' at no.1. It had everything and was especially good watching it when first broadcast, one year on from 'Dates'. However, 'Miami Twice'? Really? One of the poorest episodes, surely. Personally I reckon you have to include 'Yuppy Love' and what has to be the funniest 30min episode, 'Tea for Three', but as I said... subjective.

It was an early creation when the writing was still green, and the running time was only 30 minutes. Tea for Three, Danger UXD and Yuppie Love should've all made the list, in expense for Cash and Curry, Miracle in Peckham (although Biffo's trumpet is very funny) and the Miami Twice episode (which I've never heard with a laughter track before since the original had no laughter on it). Although I'm glad To Hull and Back got some deserved recognition. And what about Time on Our Hands, the perfect ending episode that made them achieve their goals, and Mother Nature's Son with Peckham Spring
'To Hull and Back' was my favourite episode ever, the part where Rodney is trying to get over the Humber Bridge with 75p because he was driving a three wheeled van, and the attendant politely pointing out that the car on the sign only has two wheels and it still being a pound to cross. So many great moments in the episode. So glad to see none of the newer Christmas specials were on there though (post 1996). 146 sad lost souls..how the hell can they not find ofah funny..I bet they laugh their bollox off at East Ender's though.wouldnt want to be stuck in a lift with them.
I love the episode when Rodney leaves home and returns not to long after: Del asks Rodney why he came back, Rodney replies "I missed the place", to that Del retorts with "The only people who missed this place was the Luftwaffe". Fair Bloody Dinkum I couldn't stop laughing for ages. Great British comedy.
A Losing streak and May the Force be with you have the two best moments, the reveal of the 4 aces and the fact Del stole the microwave are two of the best tv moments in history
I always liked He Ain't Heavy, He's My Uncle… Albert running away from home and his reminiscences about Tobacco Road (like George in Boys from the Blackstuff) is very moving. Also the use of Admiral Halsey/Uncle Albert by Wings in the montage sequence is inspired. OFAH had reached a real high point in terms of the blend of great comedy writing and performing, and heartstring tugging pathos.
What about the tony Angelina episode the episode where they win a flight to Spain and yuppy love with one of the most famous sitcom moments ever all better than the bottom 3
Sloth from The Goonies And i respect your opinion. Good thing with OFAH fans is they arent 6 year old gobshites forcing their opinion one everyone. We disagree and respect eachothers opinion. Merry Christmas you plonker!
It was a great series in the 80's. It started to decline a little during the Cassandra years and then they just killed it with the later Xmas specials. OFAH went the way that so many great sitcoms do...they start to run out of ideas and rather than just call it a night, they go on and on and on until you just wish they'd stop. They planned to end the show with the episode where Rodney got married. They then decided to go on but they should of ended it with the episode where Del's kid was born imo. What's really sad about this show is that it reminds me of how things used to be. They won't play OFAH any more and there's a reason for that. Completely different London today.
Like The Russians Are Coming & Healthy Competition where Rodney tries to make it on his own. " We're thinking of entering the Self Catering Industry. " " What you got, a Wendyhouse? " 🤣 one of Grandad's best.
would've liked to have seen The Unlucky Winner Is and Danger OXD on there, but kudos for including The Miracle episode, Heroes & Villains and the Jolly Boys Outing
I love buster merrifield who played Albert I would of loved to have had a uncle like him hes a comedy legend and one of the most underrated actors of all time r.i.p buster
The twenty best OFAH one liners next. Uncle Albert for me: 'That's a hell of a parting you've got there', together with Grandad's 'what you got, a wendy house?' and the classic Uncle Albert answering the door, 'Who's there? Knock knock'!
Jolly Boys Outing was a no-brainer for top spot - easily the best episode. Although only about 3 other episodes in this top 10 might have made mine - if not less. But, if anything, I guess this shows the great consistency of the show as cases can be made for the bulk of OFAH episodes making the list.

Nice to see The Longest Night on here, the scene with Rodders and the gun is amazing.
Also I love the end of the butterfly one, hilarious
Greatest comedy ever made I could rewatch it 1000 times and it never gets old!
I can watch this over and over again and never get tired of it

Only with Grandad.

Britain has the best comedies by far
I've gotta say, we've been struggling a bit as of late, but without doubt, the best comedies ever made are British!
acogshot yeah, true! I feel like a lot of shows are a bit scared of offending people because of the whole PC culture as of late

Tony Angelino should be in there somewhere

Trigger; "Still, could've been worse Del! Mike; "How?" Trigger; "My gran had one with a squeaky wheel"
"Listen you little sod, I may never walk again for the rest of my ... although I must admit I'm getting some feeling back"

To Hull and Back...#1. But this was a great romp, too. The Longest Night🥖
