Did you consider reversing the door latch so you can open while you are running in the water? Also how about adding lockable handle so you can lock important when you are away from the boat? Also need a way for the water to drain just incase you got water in the box
Build to the specs of the owner. Not sure why you don't think this can be opened while running. The box itself is on hinges that allow the whole thing to flip up and access the well below. Adding a lockable latch would be easy. I did suggest the drain holes but the requester did not want them, saying he did not want any moister in the box from the splashing water below.
Are you still making these step boxes? Best design I have seen. If so how much?
