- HOW TO MAKE AN ACYRYLIC DASH For Your Boat- Step by Step Using Map Gas & Propane Torches
In this video, I show you how I make an acrylic dash for my bay boat. Using map gas and propane torches I was able to bend the acrylic sheet to form the shape of my console. The results are awesome. This being my first time trying it I was pretty blown away on how it came out! I got the acrylic sheet on eBay, and went from there. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments!!!
Hope you guys enjoy the video!

looking great love how great that black looks
Thank you, yeah I am really happy with it. Hope it holds up good. Time will tell I guess right?
Great job. Looks fantastic.
🙏 thank you
Always keep a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and a rag around when working with 5200. It wipes off like butter. In a bind, you can also just use hand sanitizer to clean up 5200.
Good to know! Never heard of that one. Thx
Good timing, I just ordered acrylic to redo my dash. Yours is the best video I’ve seen on acrylic dashes so far. Thanks for posting. Looks “pimp”, I agree
Thanks man! It was tough bending 3/8 thick for sure. Also make sure you use map gas instead of propane. Works much better. Let me know how yours comes out!
@@JackedUpFishing My dash came out better than expected, should have done it earlier
@@nickfonder3441 awesome man! So glad I did mine too.

Love the way you bevouling work! Keep up the hustle. Maybe we can rankle some fishing lines the up this summer. What are u using for anchor weight?
Yeah man! Not sure on anchor weight depends on the boat
Nice!♡
Thanks 🙏
Nice work brotha ! Boat is coming out good ! 💪🏻🤙🏻 I did many of these always had better vibes with a heat gun.
Ps moose with a helmet !! Love it Great 😊😂
That’s my bro-in-laws shop. His father finds that stuff and hangs it all around. Pretty funny. Thanks for the compliment! I tried the heat gun but that 3/8 wasn’t having it. Lol
Looks amazing, I'm impressed. Who was your acrylic supplier? You inspired me to take on the same project.
I actually got it off eBay out if Ocala Florida they had great prices and delivered fast
Would love to know the company! I am about to do my dash on my CC. Let me know please!
Great vid. I watch all you're vids, also Jetti
Thanks man!! Really appreciate it! Tight Lines!!
How did you screw the fish finder and glove box in without cracking. I’m on my second piece and it cracks every time
You have to predrill to the exact size of the screw. At least that's what I did. What thickness is your acrylic?
I used 1/8 but just ordered 1/4 so hopefully that helps. Did you use a step bit?
@@jaciereconte-hr4qs no just a regular bit. 1/4 is thick. I used 3/16
what size acrylic sheet did you get? how wide and tall?
I think I got like 2x3ft piece
Man I wish you made a template. I need this in my boat. Same exact boat. Where did you get the glove box?
Yeah I was in it today and it really came out sweet! Deep Blue marine makes the boxes.
I’m working on a simple project just like this😂
Nice!
A lot of hard tedious work, but it is gonna look friggin sweet!
Bigtime but it’s turned out awesome. Should be finished this weekend
First... we need to go fishing brother.
For sure!!
@@JackedUpFishing that dash came out sick...Great video bro
I was surprised to see you use the propane tourch. I would have used a heat gun if I hadn't seen this.
Yeah with 3/8 thick heat gun will not do it. Had to use map gas actually as propane wasn't even enough
@@JackedUpFishing I didn't even think about the thickness. Good to know before I start my project.
@@Picasofly yeah it makes a big difference
Less talk, more walk, please. Even playing back at double-speed is too slow! Info is great, though.
Thanks for watching!
I hate videos recorded by one hand, while second hand tries to do the stuff. Man buy a camera stand and record right, with respect to the audience...
This isn't a major motion picture capt! Still learning. but obviously if you don't like it don't watch. tight lines!
Where did you get that glove box from?
Deep Blue marine I think the name was
You can get this done in about 8hours but I really like the what’s up guys in the middle of the video. It caught me on the hook🪝
Ok! lol
