In Conversation with Percy's Human

Percy has a unique story. He was found during a heat wave, running free on the streets of Las Vegas. Someone picked him up and gave him to Cutter Hays, an artist/author friend of mine. Cutter had asked me what I would like him to bring me when he came to visit, so I said 'a male mouse!', so Percy's timing was perfect. Unfortunately Cutter became very fond of Percy on the long drive up and by the time he arrived in the Yukon, he was too attached to give him up. But I got to use him for breeding as Cutter visited Alaska for a few days. Percy is a wonderful mouse, very different from my line of mice with a wonderful, quirky little personality. I really enjoyed having him here and was sad to see him go. But hopefully in a few weeks time, there will be a whole bunch of little Percys in my mousery :)
Cutter Hays contacted me around 5 years ago and sent me two beautiful paintings he did of little Stuart, the first fan art I ever got. He also writes fantasy books with mice as lead characters, a little like what I do with film. It was really nice having a fellow mouse enthusiast and artist visit with me for a few days.
