    Went with the C12, after watching this review as they had it on offer on Abruzzi for £399 (last one in stock phew), which was the same price as just the R9 base and I just gotta say wow an absolutely huge step up from the CSL Elite I was running before

    To me most of the fun in these gear hunting is the chase itself not the catch. So many factors involved both objectively and subjectively. I recently gathered all my pc components coinciding with the Prime day and it was both fun and frustrating. If I had no concern for my bank account, sure...that would be like a cheat code, no fun at all. Now that I have my pc, along with ps5, hunt for sim gears starts and ah...Blk Friday and Xmas is coming...a guilty pleasure of being an adult with a child's desires/wishes. A review that ends with a similar conclusion as the viewer gives more confidence in your opinion as a reviewer and much more liked. Well done.

    nice review! these 2 were my buying options, but i ended up with fanatec bundle /dd 8nm/mclaren gt3/elite v2 pedals for 800e .. if cammus had cheaper shipping options i would definintely take it

      Shipment from China is always a very expensive option and it can weigh on the price. But if i may be curious. What region are you from because they do have some more localized warehouses now which makes shipment (and tax) cheaper?

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource i am from Slovakia, even from Europe warehouse it cost 120e for shipping with lc pedals, and without pedals around 70e

      @@K1KO0o0 pfff.... that is heavy pricing indeed for shipment, especially if it comes from Europa! I didn't know it was that much. Thanks for the info.

    I mainly do a ton of drifting, every once in a while I'll hop in a race. I mainly like cruising, and if I am tracking, I'm most likely just going for lap times. I want to upgrade from my TMX, I'm torn between the Cammus C12, and Fanatec CSL DD 8nm. I just don't know if 12nm of torque is even necessary, it sounds borderline excessive. But I also don't want to feel like I have to upgrade six months down the line if I did go with the CSL DD 8nm. Any advice in this decision?

      12Nm is indeed a bit more power than necessary... for me. Now the nuance is that I drive mainly games with normal cars. In a game like BeamNG or if you drift, you will manage with 8Nm but if you go on tracks where you need to feel the details, need to feel some intensity, some struggling... then yes, I would go a bit higher. But its not only for that that I would choose the C12. It feels remarkably premium for the price and the abundancy of buttons, encoders and joysticks makes it possible to play BeamNG even without keyboard. Between both, if I needed to choose for myself and keeping in mind budget, I would go C12 and in your case, I dare recommend it too.

    You need test Moza r9 with es steering wheel because rs weight is 3 kilograms and this is eat feedback from base

      Absolutely a good point however the ES doesn't really match the layout of the c12. I am also dependant on the hardware on the second hand market but again, very valid as the weight certainly affects performance

    Very nice. Tbh cammus has a great feel but I almoat do not like its weighty feel. It has to much dampening weight. So it feels rich af still detailed but it has this extra weight that I do not like. A wheel should feel flowy. You should feel the edge of grip and be able to push past it if needed not a full lock. I think a flowy bouncy feel is nice but it needs to really allow you to feel all of the points of grip and suspension and you should be able to go through that. I feel some wheels like asetek and this cammus in acc have an extra dead weight feel I don't like. I want power from forced but not feel stiff right away. It should feel progressive to me but that's all preference.
    I actually think moza feels good with some friction and inirtia added to it mixed with a bit of dampening its nice.
    Kind of like I do with my simagic ultimate. I use inirtia at like 10, friction at like 15 and dampening at 15 With details maxed out. But yeah seems to really help so much with suspension and edge of grip. I think alot of us go for more details like track or curb detail but me I don't. I look more for the suspension feel a realistic car feel and the edge of grip. Those are my favorite details and its how I set my wheelbase up to feel even if I drowned out some of the curb details. Curb details do not help you be faster lol.

      Yes you gave this comment before and I noticed it now too and tried to point it out. But for me personally, it's not that bothersome.

    Your settings show that you did turn down the R9 to 50% FFB strength, so your comparing the R3-R5 to the C12? Your settings are made to fail.
    Also in the price you take the most expensive round wheel Moza has to offer. You forgot to add that you dont like Moza. :D

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  3 місяці тому +6

      Absolutely, in a game like BeamNG where FFB is not about power because you drive normal city cars, it is turned down to 50% as it represents best the driving sensation there. In ACC it is turned to 90% and corrected in game to have the least amount of clipping. As for the steering wheel, the RS V2 is the one that resembles the (fixed) steering wheel of the C12 best for functionality, features and overall quality. Which one would you have selected for a comparison? If you had watched the conclusion, you would know that I would prefer the R9 with the trucker wheel and stalks above the C12 even though it is less powerful if I could pick only 1 for my personal use. You are always welcome to criticize, in fact I can only thank you for it, but try to ask questions instead of making assumptions.
