Love everything about Texas!! Wish I could have met you guys while you were here in Amarillo. Looks like you had a great time visiting my home city and the surrounding attractions!! Safe travels!! 😁
We had a great time in your wonderful city! Definitely be proud of where you live. Hoping to get back to Texas in October to explore El Paso when we roadtrip through NM and AZ.
I can't wait to live here! I was born in Oregon and I'm so sick of it here. Texas looks really beautiful and watching this just makes me wanna pack up my car and move right now!!
If you ever come back, River Falls is the "secret" around here. Its the private Palo Duro, waterfalls, fishing, crazy stuff. I even know of some zebras and other African wildlife in the area.
Loved this video since I grew up in Amarillo. But you actually didn’t make it all the way to the Lighthouse. The formation you pointed out is not the Lighthouse. Many people make that mistake and turn back. The Lighthouse is further up and a lot closer to the trail and a lot bigger. But honestly I would have been looking for a reason to go back too.
Lol. There was a sign right at the trailhead that showed the formation and identified it as the Lighthouse. So I don't know. Honestly, I've done longer hikes, but we were pretty hungover and were getting a late start. I'm sure that entire area was beautiful. We only went halfway before turning around.
@@TravelwithTrey supposed to be my great great uncle. My grandma had an old shotgun that was supposed to be his. Rock Hudson played him in an early 1950's movie called the Restless Breed based on the John Wesley autobiography.
@@weshardin9971 that is a great story! We have plans to roadtrip through New Mexico and Arizona in October. I want to stop in El Paso along the way to see Hardin's grave.
I think about it now and could kick myself. But at the time, I was afraid I'd have been wheeled out on a gurney and was leaving for Oklahoma the next day...
I would never recommend eating at the big texan. The food sucks. Plenty of much better restaurants there and for steak you should have gone to the stock yard.
I had a really good steak. Sorry you had a bad experience. I get to come back to Texas later this year, so maybe I'll try somewhere else for steak in El Paso.
Depends where you are and it seemed arbitrary. One tavern had bar keeps running around making sure people were wearing them. Others were less draconian. But I would say that when indoors, most people walking around were wearing them. We did just as many activities outside as you can tell from the video.
@@TravelwithTrey I look forward to the OK one. I’m originally from Maryland moved to Texas I had to bust your balls. Good segment I enjoyed watching it.
@@jas5050 Thanks brother! The Oklahoma video is up so you can check it out now. I appreciate the ball busting from a former Marylander. I love Texas. I can see why you guys do it big down there. All the best!

Looking forward to visiting Amarillo from the UK in a couple of weeks.

That sounds incredible. Thanks for the tip!
Texas is in my soul
I think first time I’ve seen someone hike in flip flops lol 😂
Oh it gets worse. Just got back from the American Southwest. Plenty of flip flop action in the new videos. Stay tuned!
Spend more time at the military memorial.

I want to settle in Amarillo.
Should've done the steak challenge, bro.

This is my hometown
Loved it. Great hospitality in Amarillo.
@@TravelwithTrey yee
@FMBU, mine too!
Flip flops in what i can only assume is rattlesnake area.
Was it that obvious that we've never been to the area? lol
A Bloody Mary is great for upping your electrolytes.
It’s crazy seeing people actually want to come visit here and do things, it seems so bland and boring if you are from here
The grass is always greener.. 👌
Just FYI, that wasn’t the lighthouse in the video for those traveling to Amarillo/Palo Duro Canyon.
A real Texan wouldn't wear a mask!
Looking to move to an affordable All-American city.

Yes that place sucks i never get back its expensive and the food was gross
Any recommendations on a good steak house in Amarillo? I’m gonna be stopping by tomorrow
No masks required? Awesome! I'm moving there. Texas independence!

Of course no masks are required. Your in the panhandle!! Aren’t they so proud of spreading COVID!! Welcome to Amarillo!!!
U still gotta wear mask here lol
Born and raised in the hell hole. Moved away decades ago. Amarillo sucks.
Agreed. Born there and I left in 2002 I would never move back there, I visit family there but that's it.
AMARILLO sucks ass.wannabe rappers and all that stupid nonsense.
What makes it a hell hole?
You should be embarrassed wearing all that yuppie Maryland stuff in Texas lol.
Wait until you see what my brother wears next! We try very hard to offend. ;)
