I love how there are so many family owned bakery, pastry and deli shops that you can go to to buy foods from or sit and eat in. Over the years we have lost many of those neighborhood stores to big grocery store chains. I miss the days that you could walk in your neighborhood and find a bakery, a meat market or a farmers market for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Hi Lisa, you are right it has a different feeling to have them around and even though most of them having hard time keeping it running, we still have them
I grew up in NYC. We lived right across the street from a real bagel shop; down the street from a real bakery and produce store; an Italian deli and a Jewish deli. We ate like kings.
The shops display their food and pastries beautifully. I love your videos showing all the places, shops and people. Also, the people in the shops seem very friendly talking about what they are preparing. Thank you for sharing your day out.
I LOVE IT!! EVERYTHING ABOUT TURKEY IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL AND DELIVIOUS. I EVEN LOVE TO WATCH THE TURKISH MOVIES. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO FOR US TO WATCH. LOVE FROM THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF SAIPAN INTHE COMMONWEALTH OF THE NORTHERN MARIANAS. LOVE AND MUCH LOVE!!

Hi Aysenur, we have been to many of the seaside holiday resorts in Turkey but this September we were lucky enough to go to Istanbul for a week. We had Turkish breakfast at the hotel a couple of times but most days, we had simit, delicious! Sweetcorn was very popular from the street vendors as well. All the Turkish people we met were so friendly and helpful. We only scratched the surface of Istanbul really,, we stayed in the Sultan Ahmet district and walked to Galata and Taksim, ferry to the Princes Islands. The most beautiful and biggest city we have ever been to. Anyone thinking of going, put it on your to-do list, you will not be disappointed.
