It’s not a daily driver for me but when it’s on the wrist it’s a joy. And thanks for the comment about Baltany’s crystals. Having one in hand they really are special.
I like this watch channel more than any other. John is a calming presence. I have a Baltany 1926 since last Christmas with the 1701 auto. No hack and small seconds. Soft and thin and the classic size. Like a lozenge. It was a gift and that's why I wear it every day even tho the champagne dial is tough on my eyes. When I do look at it every other day the time is off by hours. I think it cost around $185. So... On my other wrist is a $38 (sale) unbranded 39mm NH35 flieger from Tandorio. Runs flawlessly within a few seconds a day. Shockingly accurate. So....
Great review 👍 . I love my 1921, I spent more on the centre seconds Miyota 9039 version with sapphire display back. I wear mine inside the left wrist and find the angled dial just right when looking down. Hand winding is a little awkward, so I'm quite glad I chose the auto. The case and dial quality is superb and the hands are much better than any other sub £1000 watch that I have seen.
I already have a Baltany 1926 gold accent version in automatic which i purchased for my 60th. The 1921 with the blued second hand ,cream dial and those silver hands shaped to perfection are for me. And to conclude their presentation with a leather travel pouch makes it a brilliant present. I am obviously a Baltany fan...and little wonder .

You need to invest in a tractor or vintage race car with a huge steering wheel now, so you can utilize the watch upside down. Jokes aside, I might need to grab this one in the upcoming sale. Also, so happy to hear that you got the Baltany sent to you from a store and i hope others will follow. It would be super nice if Seagull could send in some of their divers, since they are a bit on the pricier side, but look really tasty. Also their Gigididi watches have popped up on my radar, now that they are not writing the brand name on the dial and use a logo instead.
Yeah I had. Gigididi sent to me before and the video just died. The channel is doing well now with many brands subsidising purchases or sending watches for review. You'd be surprised who won't send a watch after contacting me when I tell them it will be properly reviewed, saying that other channels don't do that. I'm happy that I am giving every watch the same treatment. Integrity is everything and it's something that seems to be easily sold these days :(
What a beauty. Beautiful watch that takes inspiration from my favourite watch brand. This would be my only hope of owning something that takes inspiration from VC. Great review.
Damn it! Birthday coming up....was eyeing up the vario trench watch.....then I see this at a fraction of the price ...the agony of choice!!! Great review lovely watch. I really like the ergonomics of the offset dial, doing a fair bit of driving and even more working on the keyboard. have the watch dial line up with eye line with arms extended is really useful .....makes having to bend you elbow to read the time seems like a massive waste of energy 😀
Your watch is great value. I finally just ordered my first Baltany S4030 during the Ali sale. A completely different vibe than your watch but interested generally in the brand.
Been wearing mine (automatic) for three days . Visual quality is excellent. Time keeping is off a measured 3 seconds over 72hrs. So pretty darn accurate. I also ordered the gold version, which should arrive next month. I will change the strap to a darker brown alligator style leather. As the supplied leather band is an off colored light brown. Happy so far...
I think I’m like a lot of other people. I thought the watch wasn’t for me, but I’m starting to like it more and more. And I do have a long ass daily commute…🤔 Thanks as always!
I really like it. The hardening coating is a great feature. The applied markers are a nice touch as well, as opposed to the VC that only has printed numerals. To my eye, the supplied brown strap goes well with the watch as it adds some warmth.
I absolutely love this watch, but they should release in the 36mm size, that Vacheron offers as well. Due to the case being square it wears a lot bigger, than a dress watch should in my opinion
It doesn't wear too big at all on your wrist (I've got the same size), just too big for my dress watch taste if that makes sense, which is a bummer as I'd love to add this watch to the collection. Instead I'll be picking up the Baltany 1926. Might be worth a review :)

Don’t get the gold one. It’s just the silver one that they shine yellow light on to make it look gold in pictures. This isn’t exactly true because it has a slight gold tint, but in any normal light it is silver.
How does it look for us lefties? It's a gorgeous watch, I'm thinking about it. Btw, good to see your face. Maybe use better lighting on you, just like you do for your watches. 😁
I do hope it's NOT "Baltany's best watch", it's hideous IMO. I wouldn't wear it if it was free, but there are more than enough other options to choose on Ali, thankfully.

I must confess that I was so so about it when I first saw it, but I find myself liking it more every time I go back to it....

'How can they do this'? They cloned the design and built an ordinary watch without complications, poor WR and a cheap Chinese movement.
