Crab Fishing Rig

My rig for catching crabs using handline. Apologies in advance if you can hear my son in the background. This rig has been tested for a solid season and has caught many blue swimmer crabs and mud crabs.
You don't have to use cable ties as rubber bands will also do the trick.
For bait I like to use yakkas as they are easy to catch and available in most harbour systems and wharfs. If you have access to mullet that would be a better bait to use as it's tougher and has an oily flesh.
I like to use a swivel at the end of my rig as it easily allows me to clip this onto my handline or fishing rod. It also allows you to prepare one ahead of time for an easy swapout.
The red fruit mesh bag can be bought online and I have been getting mine from Temu as the prices there are cheap. I personally believe the brighter colours work better and red seems to out fish the green bags. Link below
