  • Ben takes you through how to make a yardage book. Using Google Earth and Inkscape, all you need is a is a bit of time. You too can make a yardage book like the ones the PGA pros and their caddies use at courses like Augusta National, St. Andrews, and TPC Sawgrass.

You can also do accurate yardage in Google Earth. I do it from the back of the tee box so I can step it off to the actual tees. You can then have distance from tee/to center of green.

Also found it is easy to mark the book while using a rangefinder or gps. Then edit it the next time I print one out.

That's awesome man. What kind of paper would you print it on?

I just printed it on regular old paper, but you could print it on whatever you wanted to.

Hi I have a tournament coming up. Do you create any yardage books on request of a course? I have some ideas of how I would want it to look.

I haven't yet, but I guess I could try. What course is it? I can certainly help you with a template.
