CAT Not ready? EGR Not ready?
Driving over 200 miles did NOT work! Here is what worked: in morning warm up car for ten minutes. Rev car to 2000 for two minutes. Drive at 50 MPH for ten minutes. No cruise control no AC. Then let go of accelerator. Don’t step on the break. Let car slow down as much as possible on its own. To check if car is ready for smog use code reader or turn car on (two clicks) not engine and look at Ck engine icon: if it stays on then go away you are good. If it blinks then your car is not ready for smog Ck. Hope this helps. I have been killing myself to solve the issue.

Wow your car seem newer but I ended up getting bad Evap not ready either that’s all the car sits a lot and when I drive it it’s every day for?4-5 miles only …. I don’t use highway and the emissions test 5 miles a away. Can’t test til tomorrow but I got keep gas in it. Thanks so much for your video. I think I want to throw cleaner in bottles fluid in too
Deb , did you have a check engine light that went away , or just the not ready? Were there any codes? I have evap not ready with check engine light and and P171/P174 - lean both banks - codes , but all other monitors are ready .
The guy in the store said to use 2 tanks (just 12 gal each) with the Techron Complete , because along with other cleanings , it cleans fuel injectors better / the same as the injector cleaner .
Just the not ready no codes but yeah Techron works : )

This thought it had to be at half tank for the evap to be ready. Not on e or on full
Can evap cause a lean code
check the cooling system. low temp can cause the ecu to burn lean . weird but it may be a culprit
I have NO check engine light on. Went for a car inspection : obd not ready. Told to drive it 100 to 200 miles. Any tips? Never had that 10 years since i purchase it new. Now 87k on it.
