Nowadays we have Photoshop and other editing programmes to manipulate colours at will, but those Canon colours... oh my God! That golden warmth! Every time I think about selling my EOS R and switching to another system, I just go out on the street and shoot... Every time there are some photos that give me that special kind of feedback that haunts me. I am really in love with the "R" system!
Nice one, dude! Been a few years since I’ve been to Kichijoji and now I want to return! Titles looking great as well - cheers for grabbing them and love the addition of the sound effect ✌️
Thanks so much for checking this out Joe! Definitely worth heading back to Kichijoji for sure 🙂 Dude the titles are amazing, beautifully put together and thought out. A huge thanks! Looking forward to more from you from Japan!✌🏼
Re: the weather in Tokyo - when did you shoot the video? Love the back alleys and passageways that show the part of the city that tourists rarely see/visit. Thanks for sharing!
Good morning. Arisa and Papa enjoyed your videos. As a Japanese, it was a happy video. Thank you very much. May 2023 be a nice year for you. See you! Have a wonderful day!
Nice urban shots Give an old OG Canon DSLR a try like Canon 30D or 10D It will be fun You will get this nostalgic old Canon vibes Hope to see more POV videos like this one
Really love this video! Can I ask 1 question? What focus mode do you use? Manual focus, or auto? And if auto do you use a variable point to focus? Because I presume it sometimes has to be done very fast to capture the picture as you want?
You can set 'minimum shutter speed' in your camera settings under 'ISO speed settings' at the bottom (on R5, R6 and R6 mkii). I set up a shortcut in my quick menu so can quickly change it depending in what i'm doing
Great photos and I like all of the them. However, if I'm being critical, I think you are heavily relying on the bokeh which makes you lazy. I mean, I don't blame you cause I also personally own and love my 50mm f1.2 and it feels bad to stop it down haha 😁, but for street photography, since there is so much crap in the shot, it takes quite an effort to compose something at f5.6 (or higher) where everything is focus. However, when you manage to do it, I find such shots the really rewarding, mostly because you are actually observing entire photo and all the details, rather than just focusing on a single thing when everything else is melted in bokeh. This is something that I'm trying to improve on myself so I thought I would mention it here :) And I love the video. It would be also cool to add some sort of voice over for you thinking process while you are taking the photos. This is something that is really helpful to others when learning photography.
Hey Toni! Firstly, thank you for such a constructive comment. Most comments on UA-cam when critiquing anything tend to go about it in a very different way 😂 which isn't overly useful for anyone! But I really appreciate this. For me I would say I get pretty comfortable with the type of street photography, I do love the separation between subject and environment in most situations. Which is often a bit against more traditional street photography and of course not everyone's preference. I can't say I often find these types of shots with more of the total scene in focus as rewarding myself, but I still totally agree with your comment! Comfort can breed poor habits and I definitely tend to overdo this one. It's always good to push yourself and mix things up and certainly for different situations experiment more with different depths of field. Thanks for watching and your insights!
Are you trying to compare it to another camera? Perhaps one you're currently using? Otherwise it's a bit hard to give a more objective answer, but overall it's good in my opinion! Certainly the older LP batteries you notice they don't last as long, but the ones the R5 comes with, they last pretty well.
Comparison wise the Sony lasts longer! But real world I wouldn’t really say it’s one of the R5’s downsides. So just depends how important it is to you I guess
Not sue if you did that intentionally. I see you basically only used the max aperture 1.2/1.8 for these 2 lens. My impression is that max aperture doesn't give you best image quality unless bokeh is what you want?
It's a SouthEast Asia tradition (especially in countries such as Korea, Japan, and China). They have been wearing masks well before covid was a thing. It's all about health to them. However, they could be travelling just as the travel bubble open and some are quite paranoid - whether it be health conscious or a conspiracy thing.
ayeee this was fun! keen for many more japan adventures
Yeaaah buddy! Here’s to more ramen adventures 😂
Living the dreeeeeam

5d classic with a 50 1.4 is a nice combo.
KFC bangers! Great video man. Making me so keen.
Haha thanks bud! Not long nowwwww
Really love your work! May I ask which focus mode were you using during this POV?
What camera are you filming this crispy POV content with?
It’s the DJI osmo action, the first one. Does well during the day, bit grainy at night!
Is it really street photography or just photos of things in the streets?
new subscriber, what mode you often use for night street photography?
Really love this video! Can I ask 1 question? What focus mode do you use? Manual focus, or auto? And if auto do you use a variable point to focus? Because I presume it sometimes has to be done very fast to capture the picture as you want?
Great Video!😊🎉
Can you provide me a link to the filter you had for the 50mm?
How do you focus like you do it manually or do you use autofocus?
Awwwwwesomesugoi b rollz
Yoooo thanks Hoj!
I very love your video color, Can you share with me name the luts of your video or color style?
For a sec when u changed to 135mm i thought it was the latest canon rf 135mm 1.8 but the sigma is also excellent
I would definitely love to try the Canon RF version! The sigma is great though
@@TKNORTH can tell from the photos 😉
Hi what filter if any do you use?
Did you use a filter such as a mist or a glimmer filter?
Sure did! I did mention in the vid but didn't go into detail, it's the NiSi Black Mist
Thank you! Must’ve mist it ;). Amazing photos! Maybe i’ll give the filter a try on the 50 1.8
hahaha enjoyed that one! And thanks so much! I certainly enjoy using it, different situations it can add a nice effect. This is the 1/4 strength :)
Wow great Video! :)
what density promist filter were you using?
Lens 135mm is ef SIGMA 135MM F/1.8 ART DG HSM ?
I’m Aussie and sussing out the canon, so bloody expensive here!!
What made you justify it over the Sony? The Sony lenses are so much cheaper
how do you set your shutter to 1/1000 with aperture priority? camera always defaulted to 1/125
You can set 'minimum shutter speed' in your camera settings under 'ISO speed settings' at the bottom (on R5, R6 and R6 mkii). I set up a shortcut in my quick menu so can quickly change it depending in what i'm doing
May I know which camera you made this pov video ?🙂
has anyone demanded you delete their photo when you've taken it?
Why don't you wear a lens hiood?
I need ur edit preset
On sale now :)

I need me that 135mm haha 😅
Haha it’s nice but man it weighs my bag down so much 😭😅
Nice😂😂
Lol can’t find a real answer. Could you tell me how the battery life is on the r5?

Tokyo is where i never want to go looks sooo dirty
lolllll Im sure you're joking. It's one of the cleanest cities in the world.
